We received man recs to stop by Good Eggs while on our recent Door Country trip, and let me tell ya, I now understand why. This is seemingly a one-man-opperation, and this one man is killing it. The restaurant (if you can call it that?) is basically this cute little house just off the main road. There's no indoor seating, as it's so small inside, but plenty of spots to sit outside. The most chill, laid back vibes can be found here. We popped in on a Saturday morning, and to our surprise there was little one guy doing magic with giant spatulas and hot plates, whipping out the infamous breakfast burritos. A few folks were ahead of us in line, but I get the feeling everyone knows this isn't a 'fast-food' scenario. There's something great about not being in a rush, and chatting with the person making your food right in front of you. Plenty of protein and veggie options to have added to these STACKED burritos. They were wildly flavorful and even more satiating. Like I for sure couldn't eat the whole thing in one go if I tried. If you're in a hurry, maybe move on, but if you can appreciate the art of this small, locally-owned eatery and are ready for a good brekkie, then definitely stop on by! read more

Small place with a lot of silly pictures just across the street from the bay, made to order burritos. They make 8 at a time so the line goes quickly. I am so sad I live so far away from this place. Great concept! They have made-to-order omelets and then they wrap them up in a tortilla of your choice for a giant breakfast burrito. The coffee is freshly brewed down the street. For 2 coffees and 2 burritos it was $38...which is a little pricey but I was full for about 6 hours after the burrito. Lots of outdoor seating, parking, and a public restroom. I recommend ordering there, opposed to online. You will have a better experience, even if you have to wait. We were very excited to try this place. The concept sounded fun.We got a sausage/avocado/cheese/mushroom wrap. There were 2 other people including us and it took 20 minutes for the food. We have no idea how they handle busy season. With that being said they were friendly, environment is fun. The wraps however are way overpriced for what they are though. It would be great if they had some salsa options for sides. Also, the phone number listed on google is disconnected. The website is hard to maneuver. This is a great little spot for a hearty breakfast. The burritos are huge and delicious. And I love the different combinations you can make up for them! I had the spinach wrap and added black bean salsa and that was so good! Definitely on the spicy side which I love! The only thing that would make this better is as everyone is saying, the wait. This is the only breakfast burrito you NEED to have on this planet. That's it. Absolutely phenomenal.

Whether it was done because of the COVID-19 pandemic and limiting interactions between people or simply because the owner wanted to cut back on how many employees they had to pay (it very well could be both reasons), I heard one of the employees mention to a different customer while I was standing outside waiting for my online order that the cash register has been completely removed, which means that ordering on their app/website is the only way going forward to get food and/or drinks from Good Eggs. I'd say I've been to Good Eggs at least four times, maybe even all five of the times I've been to Door County. To me, as weird as it sounds, part of the experience of Good Eggs was having to stand in a long line that's usually out the door and then waiting inside in a cramped little area while you watch the burritos being cooked on the grill and seeing the employees crack dozens of eggs at a time into a big bucket with incredible speed. Now, Good Eggs is the same long wait (due to the number of online orders they get) without the show, unless you count multiple loud F-bombs coming out of the kitchen as a "show". I lost count of how many F-bombs I heard from the kitchen when they left the door open after bringing out customer orders. There were only two guys working, which seems rather light in the kitchen area compared to past years. Twice I heard one employee ask the other "do you want me to turn it off" in regards to an alarm/notification-like noise. Obviously I don't know what the noise was, but it wouldn't surprise me if he was referring to their order machine because these guys looked a little frazzled trying to keep up with just the two of them working. The outside area is nothing special to look at and certainly not great under the elements. The overhang that they have used to be over the exit and is now where the employees bring out the food. There's a large U shaped counter for you to wait at, but it fills almost the entire area under the overhang so your back side could potentially get rained or snowed on in those types of weather. The burrito itself was as good as it has been. I've always thought that it could have used more bacon in it because the potatoes, eggs, and cheese cover up much of the bacon flavor. As much as I enjoy it, though, I hate to say that I might look elsewhere for breakfast next time I'm in Door County instead of specifically planning to stop at Good Eggs. read more

We have always wanted to try Good Eggs but the wait was always too long. This last trip we finally got to try it and it was fantastic! We waited in line about 30 min and it was worth it especially since everything in Door County was busy and we waited a while no matter where we went.... Next time I would call ahead and pickup. My kids loved the strawberry smoothie and my husband and I enjoyed the burritos, they were very flavorful and filling. We do wish you could get salsa or sour cream on the side. You can watch the owner pile all of your selected ingredients onto the flattop, and marvel as he adds the eggs, cheese, and your selection of hot sauces( cholula, tobasco, sriracha). Could have easily shared one with one or two other people. I ate about 1/3 of mine. The atmosphere is cute and quaint. I just didn't think the burrito was anything special. I also ordered a smoothie from them and I saw her pulling out all the ingredients to make them. The most basic and generic oj, yogurt and berries was used nothing special . The owner prepared our burritos in front of us and chatted with us the whole time. He was super friendly and easy to talk to! You can tell that he really cares about his restaurant and the people he gets to talk to while he prepares their food! You can place online orders for this place but I recommend going in person, seeing the order made in front of you, and then eating outside! They have lots of seating outside and the tables are made from kayaks and upturned boats! It was really cool. We had a great view of the bay from our table. I highly recommend this place to anyone. The options are basic (spuds, cheese & egg) standard (basic+ veggies ) and deluxe (standard + meat). Biked down to get a quick breakfast after hearing so much about the fresh made omelets and smoothies. Like many things Covid has taken its toll on another local place. We were not aware but you have to order online for ALL orders. You can use their website or a very easy to navigate App. The menu on our day was limited to burritos, coffee, juice or milk, and a scone. It took about an hour on our Tuesday morning for our order to be completed. The burritos were warm and delectable...and huge (on par with Qdoba or Chipotle sizes). If you don't want meat, the basic burrito was exactly the same size as the deluxe but $4 cheaper. The scone was white chocolate chip and might be one of my favorites. It was exactly the way I like my scones, baked to a crisp outside and soft on the inside. The outdoor seating was pretty limited but there are park benches and tables up the road in Ephraim by the harbor area. TL/DR: Menu is limited currently but very good. Use the website or app to order ahead or you will be waiting a long time and have grumpy kids like us! read more
