Thrilled to find this breakfast/lunch gem still opened after having visited a few years ago in Door County! We had a delicious brunch of breakfast burrito and breakfast jambalaya with egg, andouille, green onion and rice. My wife had the burrito and when asked if it compared well with its San Diego cousins, she said it was good! The jambalaya was more than enough to eat and had a nice heat. Took a bit of both back to our room for breakfast tomorrow. We both got the bloody Mary's (they had a kick of both alcohol and spice) which included a pony chaser of Miller Lite. I'm not sure if chaser with a "bloody" is a Wisconsin thing because I'd not had them anywhere else. To top off the meal we got 3 beignets covered with powdered sugar still warm from the fryer. Definitely recommend a visit when in Egg Harbor! Note: they had outside patios which were wheelchair accessible, but a step to the indoor area which made it inaccessible to us. Had a great lunch/brunch here! Weather was great, sat outside and enjoyed the food and surrounding activity on the street I ordered the Tater Tot Scramble and absolutely loved it! Everyone throughout the shop was very friendly. I ordered a WILDBERRY ACAI WITH LEMONADE and the flavor was good but it was a bit too sweet for me. For my main, I got a TATER TOT SCRAMBLE. The tater tot was well fried and had a great flavor. The gravy was a surprising addition but it did really bring the rest of the items of bacon, cheese and eggs together well. I had fruit cup for the side which was very good. Generous portion of diced watermelon, pineapple and cantaloupe. Beignet was a little disappointing ... three rather large pieces of dough fried and covered with powdered sugar. Dough was light like bread or a donut rather than dense. Fruit compote was excellent. Wifey had a toasted (warmed up) bagel with cinnamon cream cheese. Really nothing special to report with the bagel. Coffee was excellent and refills were allowed. The shocker was the bill - $40 for the two of us. They are busy and not shy to get top dollar. We sat on the deck along the rail. It was a beautiful day and we had plenty of company. Our family of five arrived on a summer Friday at about 9:30, and we were greeted promptly and waited just a moment to place our orders -- honestly, any delay was due to us trying to make up our minds. Our party selected a bagel with cream cheese, the breakfast jambalaya, the biscuits and gravy, the breakfast quesadilla, and beignets with a chocolate peanut butter dipping sauce. Everything was super fresh, hot, and delicious. The biscuits and gravy were delicious and not so very rich that it created later "regrets" of eating too much rich food. The breakfast quesadilla (with andouille sausage) was huge and hearty, plenty for two of us to share. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch, enjoying fresh air as we enjoyed our food. First, the good. The pesto egg sandwich was really good. Like very very good. I thought about ordering a refresher drink, but didn't. I kind of regret it. It was relatively early on a Sunday morning and while they were busy, it wasn't too bad and the service was friendly and fast. Second, something I would improve. I'm not sure why you have to toast your own bagel. Maybe some people like a plain untoasted bagel?? It doesn't make much sense to me. So you order your bagel, tou find a seat, the staff brings it out to you and then you have to go back in and stand in line to toast it. It's strange. I think offering to toast bagels for the customers and then bringing them out would be much more efficient and honestly, I think that's what people want to pay for. Just my opinion. read more
