Tasty, polite, bright, and beignets! Counter service bagels and other brunch items. Keep it light with a bagel (REMEMBER you've got to toast it yourself in the toasters in the dining room.) Or go heavier with the breakfast jambalaya or little piggy sandwich. The inside dining room is small, but has lots of windows and wood. That gives it a bright country homestyle vibe. Service is polite. And the food is delicious.

Tater Tot Scramble - Amazing!

Had a great lunch/brunch here! Weather was great, sat outside and enjoyed the food and surrounding activity on the street I ordered the Tater Tot Scramble and absolutely loved it! This is a dish that I'm going to have to add to my "go to" lunch list when I'm visiting Door County. Ordering lines were long (because it's good!), and bathroom lines were even longer. So plan accordingly.

Breakfast pizza-- super delicious and unique!

I lucked out by being in Egg Harbor on Big Easy's last day of the season (10/26/24). I ordered ahead online and picked up. The breakfast pizza was truly quite delicious, I was surprised. It's unique offering and the sausage gravy caught my attention. It was super flavorful. Could only eat half; the leftovers did great in the fridge and heated up well. The staff were extremely energetic and friendly with everyone who came in. Definitely a great breakfast spot.

Dog friendly outdoor seating. The 2 dogs present were well behaved and only barked one time. Not wheelchair accessible to get inside. Our drinks remained on the bar inside as they are not allowed to deliver alcohol outside. Another customer, who must have heard my husbands name when he ordered, came to our table and told my husband our drinks were inside waiting! Breakfast Burrito was tasty and huge. Took half home. Beignets were okay. Large and doughy. Extremely loud with lots of passing traffic. Too busy.

My parents and I stopped by around 12 PM on a Thursday afternoon. The restaurant was fairly empty so we had a lot of space to sit down. You put your order with the cashier up front and then they bring everything to you once the food is ready. Food came out pretty quickly. Service itself was great as well. Everyone throughout the shop was very friendly. I ordered a WILDBERRY ACAI WITH LEMONADE and the flavor was good but it was a bit too sweet for me. For my main, I got a TATER TOT SCRAMBLE. The tater tot was well fried and had a great flavor. The gravy was a surprising addition but it did really bring the rest of the items of bacon, cheese and eggs together well. The scrambled eggs were nice and soft. Additionally, portion size was big it ended up being enough for me for two meals. All in all, a great brunch option in the area!

What a great walkable location with some deeeelicious southern breakfast! Super cool place with cocktails too for a nice little brunch. The staff was helpful too in picking out some food since it was our first time. Only negative is the water station needs much bigger cups.

Inside of beignets

I came here and ordered at the front. I got the utensils, condiments, napkins and water that's available in the side areas near by. The food was served to wherever I was seated. Outdoor patio seating: Nice outdoor seating area and it is dog friendly! (Brownie points for that!) Customer service: The staff were all nice and helpful. Drip coffee (regular $2.50): it is a regular coffee. Beignets ($7): One order comes with an order of 3 beignets. I had anticipated the beignets to be filled with chocolate, but it wasn't and it tasted like fried dough with powdered sugar on top. No sweetness to it. Looks can be deceiving as it sure looked tasty in pictures but I also read a review previously that there was chocolate in it so maybe that has changed recentIy. I wouldn't recommend ordering this.. Build your own breakfast sandwich, comes with your choice or side ($13): I ordered with an Asiago bagel, sausage and pepper jack cheese. The bagel sandwich is huge and was filled with 2 sausage patties and 2 eggs. It was very filling to say the least! I had tator tots with the order which came out fresh, hot and crispy. A good meal prior to a long hike or if you are uber hungry. The bagel sandwich overall was tasty as well! Would recommend a breakfast sandwich. Louisiana Skillet ($14): The skillet was big and filled with lots of andouille sausage (generous on the amount that goes in the skillet). A go to for meat lovers. The egg tasted a bit like it was made from powder..or maybe didn't taste as fresh. The overall skillet was good but would opt to try another item on the menu next time. I'll be back if I'm in the area.

The big easy is a cute little place to have breakfast in Door County! The service was friendly and the restaurant had plenty of seating. I would say the coffee was meh and the breakfast sandwiches were a bit overpriced, but our food was tasty. My only suggestion was to not put so much sausage on the sandwich, 2 patties was way too much with everything else going on.

Stopped by Big Easy on a whim for a late lunch shortly before they closed and could not have been more pleased with my decision. While I didn't get the beignets (although I was VERY tempted to), the Louisiana skillet I had was exactly what I didn't realize I was in the mood for. It was a hearty portion with a great flavor mix between the andouille, bacon, cheese, and seasoned potatoes. Several other menu items made it a hard decision, so I'll have others to try if I'm back in the area again. The atmosphere (partially, I'm sure, because I was the only one there) was calm with some jazz playing on the speakers to give it a Big Easy vibe. Overall, great place to check out.

This place was immediately next to our resort, and sold me at beignets. We mozied over on a Friday, snowy morning and got excited to see a cute little New Orleans themed cafe. It wasn't too busy and the cashier kindly explained the menu for us first timers. There was plenty of seating and natural light. The selection on the menu was bigger than expected, too! I highly recommend building your own breakfast sandwich. It's hard to go wrong it was so tasty!! The egg was cooked perfectly. The tots that came with it were fried to perfection. Super crunchy. We ordered beignets since my boyfriend had never tried one. Beware, they come in an order of three and it's a lot of food! We took some home for leftovers. The French pastry was yummy and authentic. Warm with plenty of powdered sugar. Texture was awesome. We would come back again! It wasn't the cheapest of breakfasts, but we got good bang for our buck. Would love to come back and try a smoothie, too. It's a great addition to this area's ambiance and restaurant scene.

This place was packed but getting through the line was easy. Staff was friendly and patient as we navigated through the menu knowing there was a line behind us. We didn't get the beignets but should have because it was a hot item for sure! Give this place a whirl, you won't regret it! The food was delicious but the 5 stars are definitely for the staff!

I came in on my way home from Peninsula State Park and I am glad I made the quick stop. I wasn't…read moresure at the start because you just never really know what a small restaurant in a small town is going to turn out to be. Upon arrival a young lady greeted me with a genuine smile. It's nice to be sincerely welcome. There were two other tables eating and they seemed happy so I felt like I made a good decision. My server greeted me within 30 seconds or less, not sure if he was also the owner but he was also extremely kind and helpful with the menu. It was around 9:30 so I ordered the Biscuits and Gravy (personal fav) which came with a side of fresh fruit. I also ordered an Orange Juice. The Orange juice was actually super delicious and I am kind of picky on Orange juice so I am glad I went with it. As for the biscuits and gravy I was sold. The gravy tasted like it was homemade and made in small batches with extra attention. The biscuits were also super moist and complimented the gravy perfectly. It was served with a side of fruit which you can not substitute. I am glad I did not substitute because the fruit tasted really fresh and went very well to counter balance the biscuits and gravy. He told me he just cut the fruit and I could tell. All in all this breakfast was a perfect way to spend a birthday morning. The ambiance and environment made for a very nice and relaxing morning visit. The only small knock I have on the place is that the chairs they have at the tables were very hard and uncomfortable. But that was literally my only thing I could gripe on. I would without a doubt come back again to try another dish. I highly recommend. Thank you Village Cafe! :)
