First visit here. Employee who took my order at register was helpful and knowledgeable about menu details. I ordered the Country Fried Steak Sandwich because I've not seen that in sandwich form before. It's served on their "signature bread" which is a very soft, airy, and fluffy ciabatta roll that I was really impressed with. Note: they do not make any of their "signature bread" or other sandwich breads in house. The sandwich was excellent, helped by a delicious sausage gravy! The potato rings are like McD hashbrown patties in the form of a ring, although a bit thicker and better IMO. I enjoyed my sandwich in their spacious patio. They had an extensive bakery offering (apologies I did not take a photo) of donuts, muffins, cakes, cheesecakes, tiramisu, cookies, and a few other treats. This place I randomly stumbled upon when I was taking a walk with my friend! We ended up getting a coffee and desert! I'm a huge fan of iced mochas, so I decided to try it and it was alright. Something tasted a little off! 6/10 For desert I decided to have a piece of chocolate cake which is my FAVORITE!!!! On a girls trip, stopped here between state and county park hiking. Everything we ordered was delicious. We had the chicken salad on croissant, BLT, grilled cheese, and caprese sandwich. Beautiful new building - had not been to the original Klaud's Kitchen. Figured to give it a try with a drop in casual breakfast. Just a brief line to order (counter service) but plenty of space to sit down on a Saturday morning. Bus your table and you have an a la carte breakfast option for under $10 (a little more with a drink). Water station is available and they are using reusable utensils along with plateware. Day old pastries were at the end of the case and the staffperson taking orders was kind enough to walk through what was bundled on the tray. Each was $2.50 and I got a raspberry croissant and a bear (almond) claw. Bear claw had more almond to it than the raspberry in the croissant. The staff was courteous and the restaurant was attractive. The cased desserts looked delicious. I asked if takeaway was an option and was presented a dinner menu. Having ordered what was described as a tenderloin pasta dish, though tenderized, the beef cut was clearly not tenderloin. The sauce was very wine heavy, with little other flavor. Our second dish was described as a chicken breast in choice of sauce (we chose a mushroom sauce) the chicken was enjoyed. The side dish of pilaf was passable, but the beans were tough. Some of the best pizza on the peninsula! On top of that, it is still a great spot for a coffee drink, pastries and cocktails. Usually I would say when trying to do too much it's a recipe for disaster but Klaud's has pulled it off. The black and gold interior with the dark wood floor gives off a very upscale vibe but not too fancy to stop in with the family for a pizza or two. The BBQ sauce pizza was our favorite of the 2 we had but the marinara pizza was great too! The other great part is they have Coke, Pepsi and Dr Pepper products available. A rarity on the peninsula. The one question we had was the 16" pizza didnt seem like 16" but it was still delicious and filling. Highly recommended. And a special shoutout to the kind staff that took care of us so well! ... Went back again a few nights later to try the thicker crust. I would prefer the thin crust but both were delicious. The lasagna soup was a real treat also. Not what I expected but even better and super filling. Ended up not having room to finish our pizza but we found out it is still good eaten cold the next day! read more

We found out Klaud's does pizza now ! We ordered two 16" thin crust Pizzas for pick up.One was a one of their specialty pizzas The Caprese the other was a "Build Your Own" which had cheese, black olives and mushrooms. After a 15 minute or so drive home the pizzas were still nice and warm every thing looked fresh and tasted fresh! The crust was a thin crust that lived up to its name! PERFECTLY THIN with crispy edges, it had an enjoyable chew and bite to it. The taste of The Caprese pizza was absolutely refreshing!! The pizza sauce was perfect tasting fresh from the garden how it should be- not all over "doctered" type of sauce. The "Build Your Own" pizza was great tasting as well-plentifully topped with the right ratio. We are definitely ordering again and greatful for the new menu addition! The pizzas were both ready on time and the lady who took our order was very polite and professional!! We have been up here for 30 plus years enjoyed YOUR pizzas more the the big pizza joints that are in town. What a surprise, stumbling into this new culinary gem of Door County while stopping for a mini farmer's market next door. Fantastic pastries! Great coffee! Cool indoor vibe & relaxing outdoor seating as well. My only issue was trying to decide which pastry to select. We found a fantastic gem in Ephraim here at Klaud's bakery. We stopped here for breakfast after viewing some other yelp reviews. We had quiche, cinnamon, roll, blueberry crumble, and some of the specialty coffees. Everything was fresh made, tasty and delicious. All of the workers were pleasant, friendly, and cheerful. They have a wide variety of choices in the bakery case from cakes to crumbles to quiches, as well as made to order breakfast menu with burritos, biscuits and gravy, potato pancakes, avocado, toast, and other à la cart items. They have a pizza menu as well. We did not have pizza, but have read that that was very good too. There is an outdoor patio with seating, as well as cozy indoor tables: small rounds for 2-3 people and picnics style benches for larger groups. read more

This place is friendly, has indoor seating, but an even better outdoor seating area with couches and fire stations, and good food! We had the Snickers Mocha coffee which was not as sweet as I thought it would be, but still good. We got the breakfast sandwich on the English muffin. We had it with sausage and when we got the sandwich it had not 1 but 2 Pattie's on it! The way it was cooked was so dang good! We then got a cannoli for the road which was light and fabulous. SURPRISING EXPERIENCE! Visiting Klaud's Kitchen, none of the yelp images matched the actual restaurant. In fact, Klaud's Kitchen is now Klaud's Kitchen 2.0! Even says so on the menu! I went looking for very nice baked goods shown in the images but was a bit disappointed because it's been replaced by a sleek cafe. The service was courteous and prompt, and the food was very tasty with a good portion size for the price; which I found to be on the high side. I have so many good things to say about this newer place, I have to start with how it looks, definitely a new age vibe, cozy, and they really knocked it out of the park with their theme throughout the whole place, I tried both their breakfast and their food for dinner (which could also be lunch) and oh my gosh! The food was so good, but all in all the absolute cherry on top was the service, so friendly, so willing to answer questions or to help people with any questions they may have had, and the small bonus, they have a couple games! read more

We were sad to see that JoJoes had closed, but after visiting Klaud's Kitchen, we are converts. They really upgraded the inside and they have a cute outdoor space, too. Wow. Stopped here for lunch and had the Goulash - exceptional. Tried one of the deserts, a cake with buttercream frosting and blackberry filling - reminded me of deserts I've had in Europe.
