Just a quick "Covid-era" update! We were so happy to find that Bea's was open during our visit last week! Their website said their hours were still limited, but they did happen to be open when we stopped by. They are requiring masks at this point, and everyone was respecting that which was nice to see. We stocked up on our favorite cherry products and since we were renting a house with a kitchen bought a bake-at-home pie so that we could enjoy the aroma of a pie baking while we relaxed that evening. It was absolutely delicious! The crust was tender and flaky and the filling was wonderful; it was loaded with cherries, apples, strawberries and raspberries. They had signs saying that they were out of some things due to supply problems, but we found they had everything we wanted, so we weren't sure what they weren't able to get this year. Everything is made in house which is impressive. It can't be a complete trip to Door County without making it to Bea's!

    Prices circa July 2022.

We picked up a blueberry and a four berry pie on this visit.    Both were the usual tip-top delicious.  I personally didn't like the four berry quite as much only because I didn't know what variable flavor the next bite was going to be.  I know this is being very nit-picky but t'was otherwise excellent.   Prices currently holding at $16.99 per scrumptious pie.

My husband and I went to the shop for nostalgia sake for him as he used to come there as a child quite often with his family. But this shop is still full of great products. Shelves upon shelves of jams and jellies, lots of pickles and other items have been canned as well. Plus, they're fresh baked goods look delicious. We try their fruit medley jelly and my kids love it. The lime chili aïoli is another new favorite of my husbands. They also have soup and baked good mixes and other wonderful foods to try. Very reasonably priced and great selection to choose from. I would definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area. And if you're not, you can order online which is even better.

The best pies!! Order ahead and they will make them, or buy them frozen and take home. I love the mixed berry, blueberry and apple!

Very down to earth divey bakery. Reasonable prices and lies are good...not great but half the price of a place like seaquist.

The only place in Door to get good jams. Wonderful locally grown fruit with pure flavors.

Door County being famous as a cherry producer, I also purchased a jar of cherry pie filling (all you need is a crust).

I had been once before, but my in-laws were visiting from England and we just had to take them here. They agreed that it was the classic, small town, American market. We all loved our visit. It's quite big inside and very open/spacious to move around. Beyond their famous cherry pies, jams, and butters, you'll find their fresh produce, local cheeses (yumm), and a unique selection of artisan goods (I'm obsessed). Also if you're an apple lover, you'll have come to the right place. They were sampling their fresh picked options, and we of course left with a big bag to take home. Also, all things fall-esque like cider donuts, pumpkin pancake mix, and unique fudge. Oh anddd they have this great little outdoor section for kiddos, equip with a swing set, big sandbox, handful of rideable bikes/cars, and a cute little rope maze in the woods. My son loved exploring. With seasonal activities like cherry-picking, it's a perfect spot to savor the region's flavors and enjoy a classic Midwest farm experience!

And beyond that, they sell a lot of other merchandise, food and otherwise. Lots of salsa, spreads, relishes, jerky, and so on, but they don't have any recipes or food suggestions near them and I don't know how to use them. The peach, cherry, etc. salsas seemed interesting but they were too sweet (and not spicy enough) to eat with chips or something, but I'm not sure how I would want to use it otherwise and I don't want to have to do the work to figure out how. But near the entrance, they do have a little counter where various relishes and jams are available for tasting. I did buy some apple cider donuts from here, and they certainly looked more appetizing than most of the other markets we stopped at. The cider was disappointing--it looked more like juice than cider--so I skipped that. And once I had one of the donuts upon returning home, they were pretty good even a day or two later, and I"m not one who usually loves apple cider donuts. There's lots of parking here, so you'll probably have no issue there. If you have little ones, there's a small playground near the eastern end of the property. They're closed Sunday, so plan accordingly.
