This place is more like a huge indoor farmers market rather than just a market. You will only find locally produced food products here....anything from fruit to fruit jams, butters, pies, breads, pretzels, you get the idea. There are also some souvenirs to buy: some junky, some typical, some decent for home decor. Everything is farm, Wisconsin, or woodsy island themed, which it should be, considering it's in an area that is all of those things. I found a really nice postcard here that I plan to frame and hang on the wall. This is definitely a place for tourists, so expect the prices to be higher, but that being said, you just might find something here that you haven't seen elsewhere on the peninsula.... 8/2025

FINALLY, a place in Door County that had apple cider that actually looks and tastes like apple cider. I'd heard that Door County is known for apples, cherries, and apple cider (amongst other things) but four of the five farm stands we stopped at had "apple cider" that looked and tasted like apple juice, not cider. And there's a clear difference in the taste of those two beverages. I was really pleased with what I got from Wood Orchard. When I picked it up in September 2024, it was $5 per half gallon or $9 per gallon. As you might expect, they have apples! What they're known for, of course. I appreciate that they have samples of them because there were a couple I wasn't familiar with. There are several varieties, like the Honeycrisp that is so ubiquitous in the midwest, as well as a variety called Rava I hadn't heard about and was pretty good. My friend had mentioned that SweeTango is a variety that is only found here, but when I looked into it I found that it's actually a variety that was established by the University of Minnesota and is licensed to a cooperative of orchards to grow. It's not one I'd heard of before, and it is indeed pretty good. When I first tasted the SweeTango it reminded me quite a lot of a Honeycrisp, though perhaps a little less tart. It's actually a hybrid with one of the apples that it is derived from being the Honeycrisp so that makes sense. They sell quite a bit of other merchandise here but I was kind of antsy to start getting on the road to head home so I didn't spend a lot of extra time wandering around. They have a bakery area; you can buy fudge and of course apple cider donuts here. I almost bought some of the donuts but since I'd bought a six pack the day before it would have been too much. There's a huge parking lot, and I REALLY appreciated that the bathrooms were clean and well-kept. If you're only going to stop at one farm stand whilst in Door County, I'd probably suggest this be the one.

Great place to stop and shop for all of your Door County essentials like jams, jellies, sauces, salsas, baked goods, coffee, candy, and so much more. All made with local cherries of course. Prices are very similar if not better than other places we stopped at while driving through Door County to visit Sister Bay. If your kids get bored or need to run off some energy, there is a fun playground they can play on while you relax and enjoy a cider doughnut. You're on vacation so enjoy yourself!!

First time and will definitely be back! Everything I was looking for and more. Homemade delectable items like jams, dressings, desserts, salsas, take and bake frozen Kringle which makes the mouth water.

This is an extremely popular specialty market selling a vast variety of cherry preserves, jams, jellies, salsas, sauces, wines; as well as other sauces, pickled items, cheeses, meats, wild cherries (by the bucket), coffees, souvenirs, signs, clothing, candles, etc, etc etc. The quality of their cherry goods are outstanding, and my wife and I specifically come here whenever we are in Door County

This is a quaint farm market, and smaller and quieter than the very popular Seaquist Farm Market. We looked around on our brief stop but didn't buy anything.  I noticed they sold Door County brand coffee at $10.99 per lb instead of $11.99 per lb at DCC's  flagship store, though there were only a handful of flavors.   It's a plenty adequate farm market for locals and tourists alike.  In fact, when we walked in, I thought it might be Amish run (surprise!), as there were a bunch present, but it turned out that a busload of Amish touring from Shipshewana IN had just made a pit stop, ha.

We were lured in by the sign advertising cherry donuts! They did indeed have them and they were very good! They did have pieces of cherry in them and were fresh, flavorful and moist. They held up nicely for a couple of days as we finished them. They had some other baked goods that looked tempting as well even later in the afternoon when most bakeries are sold out. There were a lot of other cherry products here and large containers of frozen cherries. They also had peanut butter, mustards, and pretty much every jarred product you can think of. Since it was May, there wasn't much produce yet, but they did have apples, morels, asparagus and rhubarb. They also have oodles of items for the yard like decorative rain gauges, and other souvenir items. Definitely worth a stop!

    Cherry donuts are delicious!

My sister refers to this place as a freeloader shop. Samples are everywhere, and people do love free samples! However, they did reel me in, and I spent almost $30.00. My absolute favorite thing I sampled (and bought!) was their cherry donuts. Fresh and flavorful! I wish I bought more, but then they wouldn't have lasted too long. The cherry danish was delicious too. Cheaper than an Entennman's, and the local cherries are superb. My family loved it. I also bought gifts to take home. Pickles and cherry jam. I loved everything I sampled, and I sampled a lot! Don't bother buying the dip mixes. They're good, but not local. One was even made in Germantown, Maryland, not far from my home. Cherry anything is the way to go.

Excellent market that offers fresh produce straight from the orchard - and of course Door County cherries!

No visit to Door County is complete without a visit to Wood Orchard Market! We visited a few of the other markets that line the roads, but as others have mentioned this market stands apart from the rest in quality and charm. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and encouraged to look around and try everything. We arrived 15 minutes before closing, but the friendly staff took all the time in the world to answer our questions and explain that the delicious looking Cherry Pies were in fact made with local Door County cherries. I was amazed at the numerous samples available throughout the store. And I happily tried every single tasty treat! I enjoyed the fresh slices of Honey Crisp apples, dried apple rings, Apple Butter, and an amazing dessert dip made with dried apples, cherries, and almonds. The Cherry Jam, Cherry Butter, and 3 types of Cherry Salsa were all unique and delicious! Feeling like I was in the Door County equivalent of Willy Wonka's factory, I continued my tasting adventure and sampled some interesting Amish Peanut Butter (made with marshmallow crème), Pumpkin Butter, Caramel Corn, Corn Salsa, and an assortment of Grain Mustards. Everything was delicious and made with the finest ingredients. The store is nicely laid out and well organized which made shopping and sampling fun. Yes, I did actually shop in addition to sampling! We brought home Dark Chocolate Covered Cherries, Chopped Cherry Jam, Cherry Juice Blend, and of course a Cherry Pie. No visit to Door County is complete without a Cherry Pie! The Cherry Pie crust was flaky and the pie filling was made of real whole cherries for only $12.99! The dark covered cherries were also a delicious treat and noticeably higher quality than what you might find at your local grocer. Overall, it was such a treat to visit Wood Orchard Market and I encourage everyone to visit this third-generation family business. They even have free cider pops for the kiddos and bikes for them to ride outside. Tasty fun for the whole family!

I had been once before, but my in-laws were visiting from England and we just had to take them here. They agreed that it was the classic, small town, American market. We all loved our visit. Beyond their famous cherry pies, jams, and butters, you'll find their fresh produce, local cheeses (yumm), and a unique selection of artisan goods (I'm obsessed). And beyond that, they sell a lot of other merchandise, food and otherwise. Lots of salsa, spreads, relishes, jerky, and so on, but they don't have any recipes or food suggestions near them and I don't know how to use them. The peach, cherry, etc. salsas seemed interesting but they were too sweet (and not spicy enough) to eat with chips or something, but I'm not sure how I would want to use it otherwise and I don't want to have to do the work to figure out how. But near the entrance, they do have a little counter where various relishes and jams are available for tasting. I did buy some apple cider donuts from here, and they certainly looked more appetizing than most of the other markets we stopped at. The cider was disappointing--it looked more like juice than cider--so I skipped that. And once I had one of the donuts upon returning home, they were pretty good even a day or two later, and I"m not one who usually loves apple cider donuts. There's lots of parking here, so you'll probably have no issue there. If you have little ones, there's a small playground near the eastern end of the property. They're closed Sunday, so plan accordingly.

It adds to the charm for me because I remember going to farm stands with my mom and grandparents when I was growing up in Oregon before they all became mini amusement parks. The folks here aren't overly friendly, though. And by that I mean they barely acknowledge your presence. They apparently need two people to run the register (perhaps there's a method to that madness--there appears to be a single register in the entire place, so if it gets busy it probably can become a real mess). But when we were here there were maybe a half dozen people in so a hello or thanks for coming in would have been nice. It seems unlikely that everything they sell here is made by them. It's obvious on some stuff--like the Dunkin, alcohol, or noodles--but I'm not sure all the canned goods come from their own outfit, either, rather than being made by other entities and simply sold here. What might annoying me more than anything is that there's a sign on there checkstand that says that credit cards will be charged with 3% fee, but that charge isn't charged on debit cards. I used ApplePay since they take that (which was a bit of a surprise, in all honesty) and it was debit, but I wasn't asked to enter my pin so I assume I was charged the 3% additional fee anyway. Good advice to be taken seriously by novice Wisconsin roadside corn buyers. During the peak corn harvest season of August through early September, you will see lots of fresh vegetable & corn signs pop up all over Wisconsin. These often lead you to gas stations, empty lots with tents and tables set up, or just a produce-laden pick-up truck with some shirtless, unshaven farmer guy with bad teeth. You have to be certain you get good corn. Some places don't let you pick through their corn and all you get is a "mystery bag" with a dozen ears for a certain $. Then you look later and find it's some dried-up horse-corn with withered tassels. Others have undersized and immature corn that is underdeveloped and flavorless. Now located in Crivitz (formerly in Pound, WI) Brosig's consistently has the freshest, biggest tri-color corn we've come across. They have a roadside location and a smaller one in a gas station parking lot a little farther north in the same town. On our way to Michigan and on the trip home, we always stop and get a bag of fresh Brosig's corn. Brosig's puts 13 to a bag themselves, but don't fear finding any bad corn in there! They also carry other fresh vegetables like giant bell peppers, 2-foot long zucchini, tomatoes, potatoes, leeks, and other locally grown farm goodies, most of which were picked the same day. The stand is right alongside US-141 in Crivitz, with a sign about 1/2-mile away. You'll be amazed at the volume of business Brosig's gets from passing tourists like us, as well as loyal locals. Pull over to the side of the road and check it out. The folks working at the farmstand have that honest-to-goodness, laid-back rural personality you find out there but rarely encounter in the city. Come by, get some corn or zucchini, chat with them, even ask them where they recommend going for the best fish fry or something.

They also have some fresh bakery items like cookies, of which I bought a couple and they were good--especially the caramel chocolate chip one, I think it was. I would stop here again if I was in the area and looking for a pie. Parking is plentiful.
