Two different amazingly funny elderly cheese gentleman schooled and entertained my wife and I on Wisconsin Cheese and cheeses in general (we are from MI). It was the highlight of our trip and by far the best cheese place we found in 3 days of vacationing in Door County. Don't skip this place!

Well organized and informed cheese master guided us through about 6 cheese tastings. We settled on buying their aged cheddar and a port wine cheese. Seating outside for cheese nibbling if you cant wait to get it home. There is a winery in an adjacent building Ta Da picnic!

Amazing winning cheese sold, and very funny people to buy from!! Tomato basil, and the scorpion delicious. Good seating indoors and outdoor.

Cheese Glorious Cheese! Hidden behind a Winery is the Wisconsin Cheese Masters. So go yet your wine on, and then make your whey (lol) back to the cheese shop! Not a big place, but so worth the stop. You can sample everything they have... Except the 35 year old cheddar, that costs a buck, but it's donated to something! I would say they have about 40 different cheeses in the place. Good luck trying not to buy all of them! The 2 girls working were about the biggest cheese nerds I ever met! They gave out info, recipes and smiles the whole time I was there. Very likable. In sure their prices may be higher than other places, but I figured we were in Door County (touristy area) and I ate about a half wheel of free samples so I didn't care! I see lots of toasted cheese sandwiches in my near future....

I had been once before, but my in-laws were visiting from England and we just had to take them here. They agreed that it was the classic, small town, American market. We all loved our visit. It's quite big inside and very open/spacious to move around. Beyond their famous cherry pies, jams, and butters, you'll find their fresh produce, local cheeses (yumm), and a unique selection of artisan goods (I'm obsessed). Also if you're an apple lover, you'll have come to the right place. They were sampling their fresh picked options, and we of course left with a big bag to take home. Also, all things fall-esque like cider donuts, pumpkin pancake mix, and unique fudge. Oh anddd they have this great little outdoor section for kiddos, equip with a swing set, big sandbox, handful of rideable bikes/cars, and a cute little rope maze in the woods. My son loved exploring. With seasonal activities like cherry-picking, it's a perfect spot to savor the region's flavors and enjoy a classic Midwest farm experience!

And beyond that, they sell a lot of other merchandise, food and otherwise. Lots of salsa, spreads, relishes, jerky, and so on, but they don't have any recipes or food suggestions near them and I don't know how to use them. The peach, cherry, etc. salsas seemed interesting but they were too sweet (and not spicy enough) to eat with chips or something, but I'm not sure how I would want to use it otherwise and I don't want to have to do the work to figure out how. But near the entrance, they do have a little counter where various relishes and jams are available for tasting. I did buy some apple cider donuts from here, and they certainly looked more appetizing than most of the other markets we stopped at. The cider was disappointing--it looked more like juice than cider--so I skipped that. And once I had one of the donuts upon returning home, they were pretty good even a day or two later, and I"m not one who usually loves apple cider donuts. There's lots of parking here, so you'll probably have no issue there. If you have little ones, there's a small playground near the eastern end of the property. They're closed Sunday, so plan accordingly.

I don't think I ever had curd cheese but hey, when in Rome! What helped find this place was the big cow and the sign that says 'CHEESE'. Can't miss it! The store is huge and the staff were super friendly. It made the experience even better! Inside the store, it is very well organized. I was surprised by the size of Bigfoot at the front entrance. Anywho, I didn't know cheese could be aged from 1 to 20 years old! Blew my mind away. I got so carried away that I walked out with over $100 worth of cheese. Either way, the experience was great! If you have a chance to visit Wisconsin for a day or two, take some cheese to go!

I believe they bill themselves as the largest gift shop in Wisco. They are probably correct. I bought a 5 year aged sharp cheddar and a 20 years aged cheddar. A fellow working there I believe may have been family walked me through the cheese selection and was right on target. I also got into some Wisco products called hard boiled eggs. Great selections and great customer service. Love them both though as he mentioned the 20 years is a strong taste good in small doses. A family business and obvious why they've stayed n business so long.
