Excellent service! As usual, extremely busy, even with that the wait was not long. A wonderfully prepared open face sandwich. Excellent blend of flavors and neatly stacked components. Once given my order, I was thanked sincerely for my business.

The hype is real, y'all!!! Cultured is phenomenal, we loved their bagels and egg Kimchi bowl. The kimchi was not too spicy and was perfect for breakfast. The staff is so nice and despite the long line, they were patient, gave us time to pick out our food. I loved the cozy ambience and space filled with light and conversation. Its a perfect cafe for door county

Visiting Door County in the fall. This spot caught my eye on Yelp. It's a bakery with a simple menu. Mostly folks just grabbed the baked goods and headed out. I ordered the veggie bagel on a toasted everything. It is topped with tomato &garlic cream cheese, a tomato on slice, thin cuke slices, pickled carrot chips and very thin sliced pickled garlic. It was unique and full of flavor. The bagel choices are slim and don't expect a NY bagel. But the taste is....cultured. And the friendly Midwest service is a stark contrast to the NYC brash counter help. Worth a visit. Oh, skip the coffee. Not the best.

Wow! Just stopped in and this place was amazing I had the breakfast Sammy on an asiago bagel with garlic and herb cream cheese and it was so delicious. We also grabbed a loaf of the jalapeno bread and a ginger rhubarb and strawberry turnover and they are all perfect. So flaky and tasty with all the flavors. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in door county!

We got a whitefish open face and the pickled veggie bagel and both were absolutely delicious. We had to get some bagels to take home too because YUM!

My favorite place to eat in Door County. I'll come here as much as I can. Don't let the size fool you, the open face Sammie's are generous portions.

Worth the wait!! I love the breakfast sandwich and the focaccia (and, of course, the loaves of sourdough).

Likely the best bakery in Door County. Have to show up early and wait in line, but it will be worth it!

The classic dining area has not changed in 30 years, nor has the great service by the wait staff adorned in Swedish apparel. There are NO RESERVATIONS, so either go early or plan to wait a long time. We knew the drill, so we put our names in at 8:30am to get a table for 6 at 10:45! Plenty of time to shop in town as well as watch the live goats grazing on the grass roof of the restaurant! Once seated, we enjoyed the Swedish meatballs, Swedish pancakes (with traditional lingonberries or Door County cherries, and a delicious warm cinnamon coffee cake. All of the food was served quickly, was amazing and in just the right amounts. We love the classic look of the restaurant as well as the cool Swedish themed gift shop attached.

I haven't been here in almost 10 years, and I had to bring my girlfriend for her first time, and…read moreI'm so glad I did. I forgot how delicious the food is! We ordered the Swedish Pancakes special, which includes three pancakes, two fried eggs, and choice of protein (ham, Canadian bacon, sausage, or bacon), and we chose bacon. The pancakes had a texture similar to crepes and are delicious on their own, but we added butter, lingonberries, and syrup to make them "eyes roll back in our heads" delicious! The eggs were perfectly cooked to over medium, as we requested, and the bacon was perfectly cooked with a crispy and chewy texture. The side of Swedish rye toast was probably the best rye toast that I've ever had! Maybe it was the butter. The side of Swedish meatballs was excellent, as expected, but the star of our breakfast had to be the Pytt I Panna. We asked more about the preparation after reading the description and felt it sounded interesting enough to order. This dish far exceeded our expectations! The American fries are diced & sauteed potatoes with skin on some pieces, with onions and diced "Swedish roast beef." Not sure what makes it Swedish, and it doesn't matter. What matters is how incredibly delicious this dish is. Again, I'm thinking butter was used to sautee, and I support that! We shared every dish and side, and I'll say this meal is in the discussion for the best breakfast/brunch I've ever had...and I've had some pretty great ones in my lifetime! Also, shout out to our server, Natalia, who was very sweet and helpful, providing great service! If you've never been, make it happen. We waited just under an hour after signing in at 8:30 on a Friday morning, which was fine because we grabbed coffee next door at Happy Coffee and relaxed in Al Johnson's courtyard, while admiring the goats. It was a great way to wait for our table!
