Muffins and pastries and scones oh my!

Highlights 1) Friendly Service 2) Cute Vibe 3) Gluten-Free Options Stopped in to Fika this past weekend for coffee and a sweet. The vibe is super cute and even on a dreary day this place was warm and inviting. It's Swedish inspired and feels super cozy. Service is top notch! We were promptly greeted and ordered a few complex coffee drinks. Staff didn't even bat an eye! I had one of their Fall specialty drinks (pumpkin toffee latte) and was able to get it iced and made with skim milk. They have a big selection of pastries and sweets and it seems like they have a rotating selection of a gluten-free item. The day I was there it was a peanut butter banana muffin with a cream cheese frosting. It was awesome! Highly recommend. Can't wait to be back!

Another 5+++ stars on the coffee, food, and service and this is a great place to support a woman owned business! When my friends and I plan our annual girls' trip to DC, daily stops to Fika are always on the must do list. The coffee and homemade pastries are phenomenal, and the owner is one of the nicest people we encounter here each year.

I love Fika! The cardamom rolls are delicious and I also enjoyed the cherry roll. Service is great as well!

Went here close to close on a Saturday and was happy that they were finally open! I've been wanting to go here for a while, but just havent been able to get there until now! I ended up getting the last cinnamon roll in the pan, which was probably the problem. They are brioche rolls, so I was assuming it would be soft and fluffy. Unfortunately, it was a little dried out on the sides and kind of crusty. Good flavor, but the texture was just off. I think I should have probably just heated it up slightly. I'm sure I'll be back to try some of their other goods so that this review can hopefully go up in ratings!

Delicious food and coffee! We stopped in here and were amazed with an enormous array of baked goods. Everything was so good!!! We got the cardamom sweet roll, a chocolate donut, the bread pudding, the Reese's peanut butter bar, the lemon cake and the dog cookies...and coffees. Such a comfortable, homey place seating inside or out. And wow! Their baked goods are now our Fav in DoorCounty!! Yum!

The staff there is so friendly, she answered all our questions with friendliness. The coffee is alright. The food we had tasted a tad old/hard. We did go in off season so they didn't have a lot of things to choose from. It was $14 for a pastry and a drink.

This little unassuming gem is son the northern side of fish creek and is a fabulous place to grab scrumptious baked goodies. The GIANT cinnamon rolls are amazing. Buttery smooth, spicy, and sweet. They also have a few lunchables including a fabulous Swedish meatball plate. They are lighter than others you can get up here on the Peninsula but incredibly filling! The ligonberries they served with them were not quite as sweet as some other restaurants, but that was great! The scratch-made pickled cucumber salad and mashed potatoes were perfect matches. If you need a great continental breakfast or a filling lunch, this is your place. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. Be sure to grab a latte to go. Their coffee is a wonderful roast which is smooth. My cappuccino was a perfect blend and needed no tinkering.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Swedish items and look forward to trying the new location in Egg Harbor next Spring.

It's nice to be sincerely welcome. There were two other tables eating and they seemed happy so I felt like I made a good decision. My server greeted me within 30 seconds or less, not sure if he was also the owner but he was also extremely kind and helpful with the menu. It was around 9:30 so I ordered the Biscuits and Gravy (personal fav) which came with a side of fresh fruit. I also ordered an Orange Juice. The Orange juice was actually super delicious and I am kind of picky on Orange juice so I am glad I went with it. As for the biscuits and gravy I was sold. The gravy tasted like it was homemade and made in small batches with extra attention. The biscuits were also super moist and complimented the gravy perfectly. It was served with a side of fruit which you can not substitute. I am glad I did not substitute because the fruit tasted really fresh and went very well to counter balance the biscuits and gravy. He told me he just cut the fruit and I could tell. All in all this breakfast was a perfect way to spend a birthday morning. The ambiance and environment made for a very nice and relaxing morning visit. The only small knock I have on the place is that the chairs they have at the tables were very hard and uncomfortable. But that was literally my only thing I could gripe on. I would without a doubt come back again to try another dish. I highly recommend. Thank you Village Cafe! :)
