Most were dining on the patio, but since we needed handicap access and we had air quality warnings due to Canadian forest fires we opted to stay in the dining area. They graciously allowed us to be served in the dining room. We started with a traditional Bloody Mary and an old-fashioned made with mango habanero brandy. They were both delicious. We had the two meat combo which included a choice of any of their BBQ meats paired with 2 sides and a cornbread muffin w/honey butter. They had an option to share for an additional $10 (each party can choose their own 2 sides). The plate included beef brisket and a half rack of ribs. The meat was tender. Delightfully smoked with a sweet spicy sauce. Sides included a salad, Mac and cheese, fried green beans and coleslaw. The beef brisket was dry and flavorless, and really needed the table sauce to make it palatable. Same could be said for the ribs. They seemed promising as the meat just fell off the bones, but again not all that flavorful. The fried corn bites were... interesting. Not bad, but not something we'd order again. Most of the food was reacted to with a shrug. Wait on a Friday evening was about 45 minutes. Total bill (no alcohol) was around $100 with tip. Service was friendly. The interior is that weirdly comforting northeastern WI tavern experience, which, well, it is. The Löwenbräu sign is cool. Too bad it's no longer imported. We were there on a Sunday afternoon on a gorgeous sunny day. The view was spectacular. The service was..,interesting. Once we got our server she was lovely. But it seemed like everyone needed more training. Almost like they weren't sure what to do or how to prioritize things. Due to watching this we decided on splitting an order of potato skins and having water instead of each getting a meal and a drink. The food was a bit better than ok. I am a summer resident in Egg Harbor, so I go maybe once/week, on 'off' nights, last resort when we don't want to leave town. Never on a weekend. Bad? THE MUSIC! SO MUCH NOISE!! We were disappointed with our dining experience here. First, the ambience of restaurant is almost non existent. It is rather run down inside. Tables are old and beat up. It could use a good cleaning, a paint job and new flooring. The hostess was rude. Not welcoming in the least. We felt as if we bothered her asking for a table. There was only one waitress and she was lovely. We felt bad for her as she was working so hard with little or no assistance from the hostess. She kept her calm, was efficient and polite. The food was disappointing. We ordered the platter with two meats and there is a sur charge of $10 if you are sharing. But you do get two extra sides and a corn muffin. My husband ate the 1/3 slab of ribs. He said they were okay. I nibbled on the pulled pork. Very little seasoning. It was just okay. It was fatty as well. The sides were disappointing. Apologies if this runs on a bit, but this restaurant earned five stars for more reasons than just good food and service. We stayed at the Ashbrooke Hotel up the road and this bar was a natural stop on our walk back each night. We had dinner here the first night, and it was absolutely fantastic. The pulled pork melts in your mouth and I have never seen my mom finish an entire half rack of ribs and are still want more. The service was quick and to the point as they are very busy , but we never felt rushed and everyone was very kind. On the second night, my sister left her purse when we stopped for a drink at the bar. She realized it at 5 AM the next day and of course was in a panic. We had signed up for a trolley tour at 10 and of course the restaurant wasn't supposed to be open before that. We decided to take a chance and drive over there before heading to the trolley, and a very sweet man who was outside tending the smokers let her in, and found her purse behind the bar stashed safely away. Needless to say, this made the rest of our trip much much happier. This could have been such a catastrophe, and we really appreciate the honesty and goodwill of the employees here! read more

We arrived about 5:45 pm on a Thursday during the off season and at that point only bar seating was immediately available for a party of two. The small dining room had a 30 minute wait. We opted for sitting at the bar which turned out to be the way to go because we had a view of the sunset over the water. It looks like during the warmer months Casey's has additional outdoor seating with water views. The bartender was attentive and friendly. I ordered the two meat sampler with brisket and ribs. My husband ordered the half chicken. Both meals came with two sides and a corn muffin with cinnamon butter. My two sides were green beans and corn nuggets. Corn nuggets are fried nuggets of cream corn. The center firms up in the cooking process but remains soft when you bite into it. We both enjoyed our meal but agreed the food was not worth a long wait. As long as we could walk in and sit down right away we'd stop in at Casey's again. read more

Disappointing. We were so excited to have bbq at Casey's BBQ & Smokehouse. We looked at TripAdvisor reviews and everyone said how great the ribs and brisket tasted. The location is perfectly situated on Egg Harbor with a wonderful patio view. The menu and portions are big. We ordered the smoked brisket platter and the half slab rib platter with salads, sweet potato fries and macaroni and cheese. The platter also comes with a corn bread muffin. The macaroni and cheese was delicious. Unfortunately, the meats were both overcooked and dry. Smoked brisket should have a smoke ring and this was grey. Maybe they had an off night; however, we didn't eat it after the first couple of bites so we ate cornbread muffin which was so-so. The waiter took our order, dropped off the food and we never saw him again. He never asked how we liked our food nor did he take away our full plates. The busboy asked us if we wanted boxes and I told him it wasn't good. The bill was nearly $60 for two plates and no drinks. I won't be going back there. read more

Like most of Door County, Casey's is using staff from a pool of workers brought in from other countries to ensure they have people to serve their customers. Casey's is my favorite place to stop for food in all of Door County! The food is always delicious, quality is great, staff is friendly, and the prices can't be beat in the area. Casey's is also a great lunch stop because the food is always super quick regardless of how busy the bar is. My go-to is the Smoked Brisket Sandwich. Daughter loved the BLT, son loved the Chopper's bbq melt sandwich. Pulled pork was nicely smoked too. Homemade chips are way better than the sweet potato fries (my opinion). Corn nuggets are sweet, full of whole corn kernels. Soup of the day was Thai chicken with rice- creamy, with a little kick... If it wasn't for the suggestion of a resident, I would have never stopped by this unassuming restaurant/bar. It looks like your typical German bar but with a large pig on the outside. Heaven in the form of bbq food awaits you on the inside. I've been here twice, once pre-covid, and then more recently where social distancing was strictly enforced. I ordered the same item both times - because I don't think I can ever stray away from it (it had also come as a recommendation of the same resident, who had been a former employee). The holy grail of food: *BBQ*Beef*Brisket*Quesadilla* It is full, and I mean LOADED, with tender, juicy meat! I prefer the haystack onions on the side because I do not want to introduce any additional flavors into this magnificent creation. BBQ sauce also comes on the side, which is another nice touch so the consumer of the masterpiece can decided if they want their meat swimming or just wading in the homemade BBQ sauce. This dish is listed as an appetizer, however, my husband and I ordered this and a side of their amazing mac&cheese and it was plenty of food for both of us for lunch. I definitely would not be able to finish one of these quesadillas by myself. Service has always been excellent. Everything about this place is excellent! A carnivore's dream! Went to Casey's on Wednesday night before the concert in the park in Egg Harbor. Sat on the deck and enjoyed the view. Ordered the three meat platter with baby back ribs, pulled pork and beef brisket, and two sides - cole slaw and baked beans. Wifey decided to split with me so for $7 she received two sides and corn bread which was served with honey cinnamon butter. Her sides were cole slaw and sweet potato fries. Everything was excellent. Meats had a heavy smoke and bbq sauce was light and spicy. Food came to the table rather quickly, but must note they only had one or two servers on at the time and they were busy. Food was good, hot and hit the spot. We were able to make the concert on time so that was an added bonus. Highly recommend without any reservations. Price was fair and value was good. Another employee came up to us after we asked if we could sit at a table outside , not the bar. No. We decided to leave. While we were still there, the hostess sat another couple at the empty table. Great barbecue. Delicious sides. Weird place. Called to ask if reservations were needed, told seating is "first come, first served." Fair enough. Was told the wait time was 45-60 minutes. Glad that this did not deter us. My wife was kind enough to offer the barbecue place because she knows I love it.. When we got to the place, it was not clear how to get a table. We walked into the bar from the front door, no host, no greeting. Not the friendliest vibe. We then ventured back to the patio and hit pay dirt. A woman putting together silverware packets, acknowledged us and said it would be a 20 minute wait, and "you can order drinks at the bar." We don't drink (yes, I get it...we aren't high profit clients for restaurants). So, we sat down and figured we gave into each others eyes and make small talk until seated. In less than 20 minutes, when it was clear we were not ordering drinks, we were seated. Here is were it got quite good. The barbecue was really great. We tried 2 meals of the "2 Meat Combo." That basically covered pulled pork, beef brisket, ribs and chicken. We declined the Italian sausage. They also have a fish fry on Fridays as all Wisconsin restaurants are legally obligated (just kidding). The sides were also great. The coleslaw I has was fresh and tasty, always a good counterpoint to good barbecue. The pork and beans actially had huge chunks of pork. It was maybe the best version of prok and beans I have had. My wife shared (yes, I shared mine too...) her friend green beans and sweet potato fries with me. They were tasty and the portion of fries was quite generous.
