Went in yesterday at their new place in Jacksonport! What a great place! As someone who lived my whole life in the Chicago area, I know what a good beef sandwich, gyro and hot dog is! This place hits a home run on all 3! I thought I was back in Chicago. They use Vienna beef and hot dogs, Turano bread and Kronos gyro meat! Delicious! The staff could not be friendlier or more pleasant to talk to. The new space is clean, warm and very inviting. It's not very big inside, but they also have outdoor seating. This is a must-do in Door County. Best breakfast I've ever had. The poutine is beyond compare. Truly!! We were there twice during our 4 day stay and I wish we found it day 1!! A great fast and easy option for lunch/dinner in the harbor. I had the Greek salad only...was looking to up my veggie intake. Lovely Greek salad! Just up my alley. The salad includes cucumbers, chick peas, tomatoes, Kalamata olives, feta, celery and dressing. It was fresh and delish and already premade and fresh that I didn't have to wait. After hiking, my wife and I were looking for a bite to eat and Wally's was right there! We stopped and ordered two Chicago dogs and coleslaw. Absolutely awesome. The dogs were perfectly done and dressed, and had that great "pop" when you bit into them. Staff and owner were so kind and friendly. Have been here twice now, both times had amazing food and spectacular service. Had the danger dog and garlic parm fries and also had the bringer special which was the outlaw burger and again the garlic parm fries. All food was phenomenal!! The garlic parm fries are the best ever and being able to add malt vinegar to em was a great enhancement (not that they needed it). Very generous portion of fries, easily enough for two people. The burger was out of this world. Cooked perfectly, the slaw and candied bacon on it has me excited for my next one. Anxious to sample the entire menu. read more

Ran out of biscuits before 9:45am despite Tuesday being the Farmer's Market. At least five staff standing around doing, not much. We make biscuits at home, they take about 45 minutes if that. The places is open until early evening. Breakfast poutine and yogurt "parfait" good. read more

Casual spot in a great location. Gourmet hot dog creations. Loved the garlic fries. My only issue is that they say Chicago style, but the hot dogs have a thick skin east coast style. They are Vienna, so taste good and the added toppings are great. I order the Jumbo at Portillos because that's the Chicago style without thick skin (vs. NY 'snap'). Wish they would have had that option. read more

God I wish this was a local joint in Chicago. But they just had to be in Wisconsin. Came here with my folks on July 14, 2025 and it was just insane. Because I am rather gluttonous, I ordered a chili cheese dog. We shared fries and cheese curds. The food was out in like 10 minutes with only two or three people working the wagon. Wally (Jr?) put my dog in a boat because it was very messy. Thank you sir. I ate my whole dog and then plopped some fries in the leftover chili, onions, and cheese to have me some makeshift chili cheese fries. I found myself grabbing cheese curd by cheese curd, intoxicated by the battered greasy goodness. My mom got a Chicago dog and it was very authentic. Wally was a very nice guy and the service was unbeatable. Seriously one of the best meals I've had in awhile. Tasted like love. 10/10 comfort food. My brother got a Italian beef sandwich which also looked reminiscent of top notch Chicago street food. My dad got a big ol chicken kebab and it also looked great. Many might be swayed by the price of the food but hey. It's big ol portions and the taste of the food is completely worth it. Trust. If you're in Baileys Harbor you gotta hit this food truck. Go to the Wally! We bought dinner for my crew and will be eating for days! We got the Greek nachos with gyro meat, the Greek french fries with Gyro meat, Italian beef sandwich, the onion rings, a huge order of fries, and had to have a bumper sticker. The location is beautiful because you can sit and look out at the water. It's like a magical little courtyard. People were bragging about the Chicago dogs and that sounded good but we had our own agenda. And I have to say you get a lot for your money. You can go into the corner Stone restaurant next-door and get a drink from the bar to go and sit by the weenie wagon and enjoy it. read more

Nice people, fast and friendly service. Great dogs and gyros. Only complaint is that they often aren't open due to weather (Hence the four stars instead of five). If I owned the place, I'd put up a tent extending out from the ordering area and keep serving - as the rain in Door County is usually short lived. And, closing at 4p is a bummer, as we have often headed out for a late afternoon or evening snack only to fine them closed. Pretty risky in a tourist area. This is a pretty easy pass. Food was expensive for what it was. Gyro had no flavor. I never thought I would actually say those words but it's true. It wasn't very busy and still had a good 15 minute wait for a gyro, hot dog, and fry. There are definitely other options to satisfy a quick hunger craving. read more

The fairly expansive menu features a variety of fun, top quality dogs as well as gyros cut fresh from the rotating cone of beef-lamb-garlic, exceptional marinated and grilled lamb and chicken kebabs, fried cheese curbs, beer-batter O-rings and hand-cut fries! I mean, really, that's some next-level truck food! Don't let me forget their Greek chickpea-cucumber-tomato/feta salad Several times a month, May-October, I find myself making the 50-mile round trip from my home to Wally's, usually parked in downtown Baileys Harbor, because I can't stop obsessing about something on the menu! So, so, so worth it. This is not your buck-fifty Costco dog and drink, but several times that for a Vienna all-beef dog is still a bargain. Food exceeded expectations and the prices are, uncharacteristically low.
