    Calzone
    Robbie G.

Ordered a calzone it's pretty consistent to other chain gondolier restaurants, I do love the sauce and the dough of gondoliers but the calzone had all the ingredients shoved in the middle and way too much ricotta.. still good and was cooked well and quick. The service there is ok I will be back

It smelled like someone tossed 2 fart bombs last time I ate there. Rotten and disgusting smell.

We went on a Monday night and it was pretty crowded but we were seated quickly. They give each table a big plate of bread with butter, which was delicious and a nice treat. I ordered the arancini to start with. I love arancini, and so many restaurants in Atlanta put meat in them. These were SO good, maybe my favorite arancini that I've had recently. Good ratio of risotto to cheese and nice and crispy. The sauce that came with them was really good too. I wish you got more for the cost, but it was comparable to every restaurant. I ordered the Pomodoro al Vegetariana but subbed penne for the spaghetti (just not a fan lol). The pasta was really good and perfectly cooked. The sauce was maybe a little too garlicky? There was a good ratio of pasta to veggies. I don't like mushrooms but they blended in enough that I could eat them. My gf got the Penne Toscana because she's allergic to garlic, so this was one of the few things she could eat. (Side note, one of the other local Italian restaurants we called basically said there was nothing she'd be able to eat there.) Some of the artichoke pieces were really chewy and the dish was very oily, otherwise she enjoyed it. The inside is very nice, cozy and not stuffy. Our waitress was super sweet.

The wine was good, the food was tasty, the staff were friendly and attentive, the setting was comfortable and enjoyable. Really enjoyed co-owner Jake stopping by for a discourse on wine and music and the correlation between the two. The guy is knowledgeable and welcoming. He must be swamped but takes a few minutes to talk vino with guests. The wife and I appreciated that. I definitely recommend this place for a classy Italian meal.

When we entered we were greeted right away and welcomed in. My husband placed our order at the counter while I found us a table. The food took quite a while to arrive as there looked to be one lady cooking and running the food. She was doing a great job. The restaurant started filling up but she kept a smile on her face. The food: I ordered the pasta with meatballs. The meatballs were moist, the pasta sauce was very bland. I wouldn't order it again. My husband ordered the grilled cheese sandwich and loved the multiple cheeses along with Italian seasons. He also enjoyed the meatball sliders. His only complaint was that the sliders didn't come with sauce on them. He loves sliders with cheese and extra sauce. He ended up building the slider and enjoyed it. The pasta salad was amazing- one of the best either of us have had! Kudos here. This shop also has ice cream by the scoop which is a fun addition. We didn't get any this time but will remember next time we have our kids with us. Overall the food was average. If you're in the mood for Italian you might give it a try. The table beside us ordered calzones and Stromboli that looked amazing.

We decided to give it a try, and wow we were not expecting it to be this good. I loved that you can build your own pasta dish by selecting your pasta, sauce, and toppings. It feels customizable without being overwhelming. The pasta tasted fresh and homemade, the sauces were flavorful, and everything came out hot and delicious. The prices were incredibly reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes. They also offer free parking for customers, which is always a bonus when you're traveling. If you're looking for a casual, affordable, and genuinely delicious Italian meal in Chattanooga, Tony's Pasta is absolutely worth a visit.

They had no problem making the swap and I really enjoyed my meal. The chicken was great, and the portion was plenty big. I've tried a few different dishes and for the most part enjoyed them. In particular, I love the ravioli. The only thing that fell short for me was the carbonara dish. It didn't have a ton of flavor, but was still fine. I do think this is probably the best pasta in Chattanooga, so it's a great option if you are hoping for some pasta.

Appetizer plate of calamari, shrimp, and fish was served piping hot and excellent prepared. It was also huge considering the price. The remoulade sauce was very mild, I had hoped for a little more spice. Main dishes were also well prepared and more than adequate portions. The cute interior is well laid out, but did get a bit loud as it filled in. Will return and take guests when they are in town. Highly recommended

As a high level chef of sorts, I have high expectations especially knowing the market price of ingredients. The focaccia with olive oil was good but the oil deserves some seasoning to elevate it. The arancini was positively delicious and the highlight of the entire dinner. I ordered the quail and I was underwhelmed. Due to the "no substitutions" rule on the menu and me being diabetic my options were limited so the bok choy was sampled but left mostly uneaten. The mashed sweet potatoes were good and the candied pecans were good. The quail was good but nothing special. I wouldn't order it again. My wife ordered the pollo parmigiano and it was also good but not great. There was way too much pasta water in the bottom of the bowl. The broccoli was good, the pasta was well cooked, and the chicken was well fried and seasoned. At the end of the day, the appetizer shouldn't be the best thing you eat at an upscale restaurant. The entree's shouldn't be so mediocre.

We chose to sit outside on the covered patio, which was beautifully lit with twinkle lights and had a great atmosphere for a relaxed dinner. To start, we ordered the arancini. The flavor was good, but my wife and I both felt it could have used a bit more sauce. For our entrees, we had the rigatoni and the lasagna with Sunday sauce. Unfortunately, the rigatoni wasn't my favorite. The dish felt a little unbalanced, and the sauce was on the greasy side, which didn't pair particularly well with the noodles and lamb. The lasagna, however, was the standout of the evening. It was surprisingly light, and we loved the spinach noodles. The flavors came together beautifully and made it the best dish we tried. Overall, while not every dish was a hit for us, the ambiance and lasagna made the visit worthwhile. I'd recommend stopping by if you're in the area.
