This is a beautiful place! We sat inside and enjoyed the ambiance! The food was delicious and our server, Bryanna, was wonderful! She was very knowledgeable and took great care of us! We enjoyed the bread and pesto she brought immediately as we studied the menu. We ordered the Avocado Fries appetizer - very good! My husband had the Baseball Cut Sirloin and it was delicious. Perfectly cooked. Tasted more like a ribeye! I ordered the Crispy Chili Lime Shrimp and it was delicious also. There was a slight, yet perfect , kick! I am a wimp and this was not too spicy! I have ate here several times now and each one is special. I've been here with groups and just two of us but the one constant is the food is amazing every time. The steaks are great but to me the special things are the fish dishes. This is as good as anything in Chattanooga so if you are local stay on town and eat here. read more

Wow. The food and service here was amazing. It felt very upscale without being stuffy. We went on a Wednesday at about 4 in the afternoon. They were already seating reservations for dinner, so if you plan on going at an actual meal time, you may want to make sure you have a reservation. We brought our kiddos with us, but I forgot to snap a picture of the kids menu. Both of mine ordered the cheesy pasta (which was fantastic btw). I feel like I remember there being a kids steak, chicken tenders, fish, and shrimp. We had the bread with pesto dipping sauce along with the calamari for an appetizer. Between the Caesar Salad and The House salad, the Caesar was by far, my favorite. My husband ordered the flounder and I had the duck. We both loved our meal, but that flounder was phenomenal. We ordered the Cookie and ice cream for the kids dessert and the fruit bread pudding for the adults. They were both excellent! We were there celebrating our 10 year anniversary and the server brought us a hand written anniversary card with an adorable box of cookies. It was a perfect evening! read more

Cyras was. Perfect charming spot, both inside and out, to stop as we were headed to South Georgia. It was nice to sit down and relax with our dog on the patio and get some quality food. The fried mushrooms and pastrami were especially delicious. A gentleman that I can only imagine was the chef came out and personally served the dog water then came back with a whole serving of salmon to share with her which brought us all joy. A very classy interior. Despite it being a winter weeknight the establishment was already quite busy, so I would definitely make a reservation at a busier time. Since I was dining solo, I sat at the bar, which is in the adjacent building on the other side of their open courtyard. The entrance of that courtyard was festooned with blooms despite being November. All three dining areas were beautifully arranged and have a wonder ambiance. The staff was also very friendly. For my entree I had the jambalaya pasta, which was preceded by a salad. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful and nicely presented. Drink refills were fairly prompt. My only quibble was that, strangely, the ceiling fans in the bar area were on high even though it was a cold winter night. I had to keep on my coat and zip it up to stay warm. read more

As my usual, a Yelp search led me to this restaurant. Upon entering, it was the main dining area, white table cloths and very formal in appearance. I was seated in the bar section through a courtyard and so grateful I was. The interior of the bar area was beautiful. Enjoyed winding down and the company of Natalie, my server. We had reservations and they were able to see us straight when we got there very fancy. I got this fish plate and it was outstanding. I ate every bit of the fish. I will say that the grits under it. The texture was a little bit weird but was still great. The service was Outstanding. I loved the vibe of the restaurant very laid-back. And the music was not too loud one thing that I wouldn't do is go there for steaks. They cook it on an open fire and that doesn't make as well as crust either way though it's an amazing restaurant and I would 100% go back. read more

We came an hour before closing as we had been moving all day and wanted a nice dinner. Helena was our server and was absolutely amazing. She was prompt and so kind! This is such a cute place!!!!!!! It's larger than you think, too. They have a beautiful inside dining area, outdoor area and a separate building with a gorgeous dining area and bar. My husband went for lunch. We split a salad, burger and chocolate cake. Everything was absolutely delicious and perfect in every way. I'm glad that we split everything because the portions were generous enough that we were both full when we left. Our server, Paisley, was attentive, friendly and responsive to our needs. Heard about his place and decided to have my boss's retirement party lunch there. The appetizers were ok, but the fish dish that I ordered was not. It was overcooked dry crap, definitely not "Simple Goodness". I understand it is very easy to overcook fish, but didn't expect this from a seasoned restaurateur who is full of pride. Ok, next the next episode. I was meeting a couple of folks who were already seated before I arrived. They were seated at a table, large enough for only two people, with two chairs and a settee, whihc i had to seat on, that was so comfortable that one could literally sink in and have a hard time getting up. I am a short person, so the edge of this table was chest high. To make matters more uncomfortable, the table had almost 4 inch pedestal, so all the time that I was seated, I had to rest my feet on the pedestal since there was no room between the table and my plush settee. They could make customers wait instead of crowding them in uncomfortable spots. Shame on you Cyra. Any seats on your roof? you could use that place to seat some more. I know, I am on a roll. Ordered Ahi tuna salad, another disappointment. With lettuce it had a few diced pieces of stale squash with some sprinkle of pumpkin seeds and 5-6 pieces of tuna. Now comes the problem. This tuna had its connective tissue intact, which I had to spit out because it is not edible. Whoever the butcher was, he/she simply didn't bother to clean that tuna, it should have been a sushi-grade fish. Anyway, enough said. Overall it is a mediocre place. The ambience is fantastic, but that is not why people go there. You can check it out and be satisfied, but for me, never going near it. It is not a bad place to eat, just mediocre. read more

11/22/2025. Dalton Ga. Dinner with wife. We dined here a year and a half ago. We decided to give it a second visit the next time we drove through Dalton. The service was pleasant and efficient although the server wasn't as entertaining as the last time. The dining area is very pretty: brick, high ceilings and not loud at all despite being full. We had dry martinis...no vermouth...have learned that you have to tell them that at many places. We had avocado fries ... skip them...avocados are not meant to be fried. We had the lobster bisque with crab cake (1 tiny cake), although the bisque was good, a side salad and the jambalaya pasta. The pasta was quite good and a handsome portion. The prices were noticeably higher than last time we were here. We enjoyed the meal but it wasn't as enjoyable as the last time. An entertaining server makes a big difference. The name of the restaurant does show on their premises. It is just a brick wall with double doors. I had to walk past it twice and walk in to find out that it was the restaurant. Reservation is best since it looks like it's always busy in this little town. I got lucky and was able to take a patio seat. Their sourdough bread is nice and hot with a pesto dipping sauce. I was hungry so I went through two of these. I ordered the following: Deep fried portobello mushroom: tasted very good. House salad with house dressing: good Jambalaya with Homemade Noodles: Excellent, could taste the chewness of the noodles and jambalaya taste was great. I always use yelp when traveling out of town for a place to dine. After researching Yelps choices we decided on Cyra's while we were in Dalton, Ga. I made a reservation for Friday evening for 2. We showed up a few minutes early but were seated right away. The restaurant is a very nice upscale casual restaurant. Our waitress was great and the food was excellent. She brought us fresh baked bread and their take on olive oil and herbs. Both very good. We had crab cakes as an appetizer which were delicious. I ordered one of their specials, blackened flounder with crab stuffing on grits. Again delicious. We enjoyed it so much we decided to go back Saturday evening. The service and food were as good as the first night. Unfortunately I did not take a picture of the flounder I had on Friday but I did get a picture of my steak with cajun butter, au gratin potato's, and my wife's shrimp and grits. Really good food. Their lobster risotto and crab cakes are some of the best things I've ever eaten. Is it pricey? Yes definitely. This restaurant - in my opinion - is for special occasions, and special occasions only. But the food is consistently good, the servers are outstanding, kind and attentive, and the ambiance is nice. It's does get a little crowded and claustrophobic though. The noise level is too high during dinner time, but that cant be avoided with a relatively small dining area. read more

This is the best restaurant in Dalton, period. I searched the net before making my trip from Murfreesboro, TN. I was not disappointed. Even the ladies at the hostess stand were friendly and amiable. When I go to a high dollar menu restaurant, I get fussy. I warned our server, Nick and he did not disappoint. Two crab cakes seemed too much, so he capitulated and brought me just one. It was awesome and the menu did not over sell it when it said there were no fillers. It was a cylinder of lump crab seared on one end, served with a nice sauce and was GREAT! I mentioned I was fussy, well, I grew up on the coast and know seafood. With all good intentions, I asked Nick if the scallops were wet or dry pack. The scallops were a brand new menu item - see attached photo. He did not know, but found a person better educated to answer my question. Not only were they dry pack, but were U-10 to U-8. Then came the piece de resistance. When I asked if they would cook them medium rare, I was told they could be and was told the magic words. They were wonderful. I'm not sure how far I pushed my snobbiness, but I asked if they made their Bleu Cheese dressing in house. It was made outside, but by the original house recipe. It was great. Aged steaks should not taste rotted at all. In order to properly dry-age beef to ensure that it doesn't rot, and instead, harness the rich, nutty taste, it has to age in optimal conditions. Many dry-aged steaks age anywhere from 28 days to 240 days. The longer the steak ages, the stronger the nutty sweet flavor. A typical sweet spot is between 28 and 45 days. Using a sealed chamber, the steak has to maintain specific humidity, temperature, and ventilation levels. Look up online to learn more about technology and how the chamber successfully dry ages steak to perfection. Aged steak should be dark brown with a nut flavor and so very tender. If it has a rotted flavor, then it's just rotted! Don't get deceived like we did. The first burger my husband got tasted perfect. The steak I got tasted rotted was sent back and the second one tasted just as rotted. I was hungry and ate it but only because I had been lied to, I didn't like it. The manager kept saying that it was aged n not rotted. As it was I only got mild affects of a bit of a loose stool from it but not food poisoning. If they tell you the meat is aged, just send it back and go somewhere else. The first burger was so good without any rotted flavor at all, so good that we got one to go. That second burger was rotted. This is also how we know it was a lie about the rotted flavor being an aged flavor. The first burger NOT rotted but the second burger was? We will never go to this restaurant again. The only thing that was good about the meal was the flourless cake and that is so over priced. We are going to try to find a Belgium chocolate flourless cake online or a recipe we can try out. Do yourself a favor and try somewhere you know has true aged meat that has not got any rotted flavor. The restaurant itself looks rustic n barnish looking but with class, which we liked. The service wasn't that great. It's like they are afraid you might ask for something. Or complain that the meat is rotted! They couldn't be bothered much even though they had only one other table occupied. But she was ok nice when she did show up. They did replace the rotted meat with more rotted meat. But Is this a true kindness? And gave us a rotted burger to take home. We went to eat the burger on the way home. Seriously If it wasn't so late and a bit less than an hours( 45 -50 min ) drive then we would have went back to take that burger back and ask for the money back on that take out burger and on the bad steak also. We didn't finish the burger and even our cat wouldn't eat it and she loves burger meat. And truly we should have taken it back especially after getting a bit sick from it. If we only would have known. We truly wanted to be able to give a good review. We can't even give it one star but that one star is forced. We are so sorry we had to live this and share this experience. We are a bit ticked that we had paid so much for such low grade meat that even had caused us some ill effect. This should not be acceptable. A warning, if they serve you rotted meat, don't eat it and just leave. read more

There was nothing less than perfect about every bite I ate here. The whipped feta in the appetizer course was ambrosia. The salad dressing (a hot bacon/honey mustard) was also perfect. And yet, the duck breast was far and away the best part of the meal. The accompanying spinach and polenta cake were also Allstars. Flavor and texture were the best I've ever had. Then the dessert! House-made ice cream and a chocolate chip cookie. What actreat. After eating here, I just had to read the reviews below 5 stars. I can't imagine those people being invited to spend eternity in Heaven. They'd be so disappointed in something there that there' s no reason to let them have a coveted spot.
