The Reuben was good, the service was friendly and the tables were clean couldn't ask for much more.

We went about 45 minutes before they actually closed, but the employees had locked the door. Love the food, but why?

I love, LOVE the ambience a whole lot of wood, very cozy, very homie. It's a mix between a treehouse and a tavern. i didn't feel rushed to get out of there. And they encouraged you to stay and visit. The servers were very helpful, friendly and very attentive. It took us 20 minutes after we ordered all four of us to get out food. After getting our food, the only conversation we, 4, had was, How good and fresh and flavorful our sandwiches were. Tell your friends highly recommend

I also know from friends that it hasn't changed and it's been just as good. I don't come through this area often, but my friends wanted to meet up and have dinner here. Also the ambiance is so cozy and home-y! It felt like something out of Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, some kind of fantasy tale. They were quick to seat us, because we were a group of 5 we had the bigger booth upstairs in the back corner. Though we were seated quickly and our group trickled in after a few minutes, it took a long time for us to put our orders in. I feel like part of it is the booth placement in the corner. We spent a couple minutes trying to look at a server for eye contact haha. I ordered the Veggie Burger, which I loved as a college student years ago, and a cup of the Butternut Squash Soup. Everything was absolutely delicious. The Veggie Burger was so tasty, it came with a side of chips and a pickle slice. The burger was hearty, flavorful, and had veggies like sprouts and avocado that tasted very fresh. For me, it was a hit back then and it still is a hit now. And I wasn't planning on getting the soup, but I saw on the menu that if it was the soup of the day then the Salmon Chowder would be priced differently. And Salmon Chowder is probably my favorite soup of all time. However when we asked, the soup was Butternut Squash which was a good one too. We got a round of 4 Butternut Squash soups for the table lol. I just got the cup and I loved it. And the bread too! I wish I had another slice because I finished that in a couple bites. Anyways the soup was so delightful, it was so cozy and great. I loved the added nuts sprinkled on top, it gave a nice texture with the soup. I feel like with Butternut Squash, people have their preferences about savory and sweet soups and sometimes Butternut Squash tends to be more sweet. But I feel like Yellow Deli nailed the balance between the two. Also I had a bite of my friend's waffle ... and I have to say that was definitely a Top 5 Waffle I've ever had in my life. It was just one bite but it was extraordinary. I'm not trying to exaggerate, it was just that good. They have great quality food here and nice service. I had to dock off a star because we were waiting for a good 25-30 minutes just to order when we were ready. Other than that, we had a wonderful time.

Assuming they were simply understaffed, still absurd. Spent about 30 minutes in there. Manager did give us a free upgrade to a large drink because of the wait though. That was cool. Still though, should've just skipped lunch

(my young son LOVES their tuna sub, and they always make it "just right" for him... AND they remember who he is, which thrills him to no end) 7:00 p.m. on 12/18/2024 I entered the store with NO OTHER CUSTOMERS in it... made eye contact with 2 or 3 employees standing in back of the kitchen. I approached the counter and waited. Employee comes out very slowly, stands behind the meat cooler fumbling with something. I wait SEVERAL minutes, (Still no one has uttered a word to me at this point) I finally make eye contact with the employee behind the counter... without saying a word, he simply RAISES HIS EYEBROWS at me. I said, "are you ready to take our order"... to which he replies, "Uh Huh". I told him that was alright, we could just eat someplace else, and we left. Pitiful how hard the management works, to only have the wrong kind of employee COMPLETELY ruin it.

The food was so yummy - truly one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The toasted coconut coffee was recommended by our server in training and man he was right on. It was so good, and giant (pictured with butter and creamer for size comparison). I subbed the sides of the black bean burrito for chorizo and a slice of the Japanese milk bread French toast. I cannot overstate how good it was. My husband got the JM omelette and he said it was also delicious. Our bill with my substitutions was only $45. 10/10 recommend!!

I enjoy when a restaurant "plays" outside their comfort zone, and feel a real need to support those spots that do. So today we visited Bluegrass and while I sampled their Burger Week entry, the rest of the table kept with the more traditional approach, breakfast. This is really a funky, eclectic little spot. Family-owned, it's always a beehive of activity, Small, packed inside with even a few community tables, they also have a couple tables outside on the street. Hey, and they even feature coffee from my favorite local roaster, Mad Priest. The flavors they opted to meld together for their Greek Freak Burger, were out there. There was a lot going on and you could absolutely pick up on some of those actual ingredients, starting first with their bun option, which was a Parmesan-sesame crusted sourdough. I liked the burger, it was a brave execution, and I had to fight off others at our table that wanted to sample it. Service is great, though on this particular day, food delivery was a bit slow......it may have had something to being on the Burger Week circuit. They have now expanded adding Sunday to their hours of operation. Be forewarned, there is likely to be a wait give its' status with the locals. It is worth the wait.
