    Happy hour menu

This place has all the makings to be a local favorite but it is just not cutting it. My biggest problem for this place was it was just dirty. Looking up there was about 100 flies, we didn't notice that until after we ordered foods but it didn't give us the best feeling. We were also totally confused by the loaded fries we ordered. The literally just added a slice of Kraft American cheese, didn't melt it and called it cheese fries. We were also surprised by the sauce on the fries, wasn't listed on the menu and we thought it was cheese at first but definitely a spicy mayo. Kind of odd. So overall, just not it.

Food was def bar food but overall pretty good. Bartender was really nice and the bar was clean/chill. I wasn't there for happy hour but it looked like they had some good deals. They do have free wifi if you want to work at a bar during the day!

Nice bar. Spacious. Bartender was very cute and friendly and happy to be of service. She made us some nice spicy margaritas that needed some more drink in them if u ask me. Glass wasn't all the way full to the rim even after some ice was added. We just ordered some fries to munch on while we drank and chatted. They came with a sauce that was yummy! I gave them 3 stars due to their bathroom having a pipe issue and was causing the floor to get extremely wet and dangerous for their patrons. They really nice to fix the problem before they have an accident in it. Would come back for a marg just would like it to be a full one for the $15

Low quality picture, high quality bar food. Golden Years is the place you end up at when you're done with food-less happy hour and all you want is to split some good food for a good price. Def sit outside on the back deck but you do have to order inside which might be annoying especially if you're doing multiple rounds of drinks. I took a star away because I think the wings should be a little more crispy (I'll ask next time) but I added it back because they provide bug spray when you sit in the back patio. I've never seen that at a restaurant and it was an excellent touch. Also, management maybe play some music in the back?

Nice spot! Great for a date! A little dark inside. Small menu but good and wide enough options that you can find something even if you're a little picky.

This is a review following COVID-19 reopening. I visited this bar on a Tuesday night with two friends. We arrived very close to closing; but the staff was very nice and we were able to put a food & drink order right before the kitchen closed. I ordered the Golden Years Burger and my friend got the fried chicken sandwich which were delicious. The yard in the back is easily my favorite part about this place. Definitely a chill place to have a drink with friends, and the fact that the food is good makes it even better. Mask required unless seated. Hand sanitizer & insect repellent available! There is also a self-serve water station. Definitely a plus. $20 credit card minimum.

The sunny atmosphere and whimsical name of this bar reflect the experience. The bartenders and staff are super kind and accommodating. The drinks are great. Oftentimes they're playing indie rock from the '06 - '14 golden era, which makes my little indie sleaze millennial heart happy. I recently tried their chicken sandwich and fries: 5 stars ladies and gentleman. Exactly what I was craving. Also, the back deck of Golden Years completely transports you out of the city, and into a small town backyard. We actually heard a freaking bird chirp back there. What are the odds.

The pub is really nice inside. Clean bathrooms, pretty atmosphere with a beautiful backyard in the back. Food is just ok, kind of expensive for mediocre food. I've definitely had better bar food, but if anything I'd come here next time just to drink. Our bartender JP was awesome! Super sweet and funny. Shots were pretty cheap, only $5 which isn't bad in Brooklyn. Overall I liked this place, I'll definitely come back

I've never been a huge bar person. I enjoy a drink as much as the next gal, but it's not typically my first instinct to hang out at a bar on a weeknight without a group that's making me meet them there. But after strolling into Golden Years last week early-ish on a Thursday, I could definitely see the appeal and I might even consider trying to become a regular there! There's something great about having a leisurely time at a chill bar when it's not too busy and there are plenty of places to sit, especially when there's food to enjoy on top of the drinks. In fact, the only drink I had was a few sips of their frozen Orange Creamsicle drink, which was heavy on the Tito's and very refreshing on a hot day. As for food, we went with the queso and chips, the kale Caesar salad, and the fried brussels sprouts, all of which were super tasty and fresh. You might not think that getting fresh veggies at a bar is a great idea, but you can rest assured that it's high quality here. And the queso didn't taste like it came straight from a jar! The music was loud but luckily it was a great playlist so I spent my meal Shazaam-ing all the songs. They also had a huge projector TV so it might be a good spot to go to catch a game, if that's the kind of thing you do. A great neighborhood spot that I'm definitely going to revisit on another school night!

Immediately upon entering, one of the servers said it was standing room only by the door or by the stage. That was not a problem, but then she immediately proceeded to question our ability to provide patronage, asking if we had a card to validate us occupying the space. The vibe was off. After explaining to the owner/singer that we felt unwelcomed upon entering his establishment he said "right on" and it's busy on Saturdays. Also only 2 bartenders and 1 server bringing out food for people for an event that's 70+ is just a lot for staff to handle by themselves and can cause understandable frustrations. Even thought it took awhile to order, once food and drinks were inputted they came out pretty quickly. I had some of the buffalo chicken wings with fries and the wings were BOMB.COM! This place was the winner, and it was everyone's first time. We got in at our reserved time, and we had to wait about 5 minutes before our table was ready. Once it was, we were taken care of and quite frankly had no idea what treat we were in for! Let's start with the drinks. They have a drink on the menu called Celadon City. Who won the staff as a pokémaniac?! I had to get it just for the name. The rice vodka, yuzu, melon liqueur, and other flavors made it a fantastic, summery drink. My friends got the Smooth Landing & Smooth Talker ... One was a fantastic dirty martini and the other had the best bite of ginger. The food... Oh my God. We decided to split the breads and spreads and burrata... Each came with their housemade grilled focaccia, and the smoked paprika hummus and ricotta with chili honey? WHEW! The burrata dish with the sweet potato, pesto and tomato jam was a hit too. The menu didn't even say I'd have a balsamic drizzle on top! All of that was just the warm up... My gnocchi dish was spectacular. I'm not even a big mushroom person, but those oyster mushrooms and charred kale were a hit in the pasta. My friends' gigli pasta and mussels were great too. We ended up sharing a bottle of white wine as well, and the dinner was truly a 5/5. 0 I would absolutely go back, and it seems like their menu changes every now and then. I'm looking forward to the next time! Even if it's just for a cocktail.

I chose this place because I had visited a few times in the past and expected a positive environment. While there, I ran into an old friend who was accompanying individuals with special needs. They informed us about the R&B karaoke event, and we attempted to participate respectfully and supportively. Unfortunately, after participating, the DJ became rude and dismissive. My friends decided not to continue because each time they attempted to request a song, the DJ was unkind and impatient, seemingly unaware--or unconcerned--that they were individuals with special needs. The situation escalated when I attempted to calmly address the disrespect. Instead of listening, the bartender repeatedly accused me of being drunk simply because I was defending myself after a rude comment. I was not intoxicated; I was advocating for respectful treatment. Even the DJ's own companion appeared visibly shocked by the comment made toward me, as if anticipating a reaction. I remained composed and professional despite being deeply upset. What disappointed me most was the staff's decision to defend the DJ's behavior rather than acknowledge how inappropriate and disrespectful the interaction was. This reflects poorly on how this establishment treats people--especially those who deserve patience, understanding, and dignity. I came expecting an enjoyable brunch experience and left feeling ashamed for having trusted this place. It is clear that the venue prioritizes protecting mediocre DJs with minimal local popularity over treating customers with basic respect. Poor organization, lack of proper event management, and unprofessional staff behavior made this experience unacceptable. I have visited many establishments and have never felt so disrespected. I will not be returning.

Let's start with the good - the service and ambiance were on point. I went on a Sunday evening around 7pm. It was busy inside, but since I was a solo diner I was seated immediately by the bar. The servers were friendly and attentive. Probably 3-4 different people checked in multiple times throughout the meal. Where I struggle is with the actual burger itself. As a non-resident New Yorker, for me $22.50 is a lot to spend on a burger and fries. It needs to rock my world at that price point. And it just didn't. I got the B&B Burger. The onion ring tasted like it had been refried a second time to make my burger. The bread was crumbly like it was on the verge of going stale. The actual beef patty itself was decent - good flavor. Usually I can overlook an okay burger if the fries are top notch, but these fries were under-seasoned and also 'just okay'. I also got a side of Chicken Tenders. These were good - no complaints here.
