This is a great little local, family-owned spot in Boulder for classic Chinese food. Nothing fancy -- just solid, familiar dishes done well. The lo mein is standard Chinese lo mein. I wouldn't call it amazing, but it absolutely hits the spot, and my daughter loves it (which honestly counts for a lot). Not sure why the rating is so low but I will say it was an excellent experience for us. We went fairly late, around 9pm. No one was there when we got there but two tables were full when we left. The food was excellent and big portions. We ordered 2 apps and 3 entrees. There was 3 of us and we had extra for two more people. We ordered chicken dumplings, cream cheese wontons, Shanghai noodles, orange chicken and Mongolian beef. Everything was really good!!! Service was great. Went there late Thanksgiving night. Seemed to have only two to three people working. Had very prompt service. Food was excellent. Had Mongolian Beef, Garlic Chicken, Curry Chicken, Vegetable Lo Mein and the chicken potstickers. All were good and very fresh. They had three tables and four to five carry out orders during the time they'll we were there, and they handled things very well. Great experience. Would go there again! read more

I normally like to visit a place more than once before writing a bad review, but I don't want to pay to come back here. The food and service were awful and it's just not a thing I'm inclined to do. I'm pretty sure the curry sauce on my Vegetable Curry dish was just curry powder mixed into warm water and I feel that if we hadn't gone to the counter to ask about our bill, we'd still be waiting for it. According to their website, they offer free delivery and their hours are good, especially for Boulder, so I can see how there could be an allure. Some dishes may well be better than the one I had. My husband ordered the combination fried rice and it was ok. Not great, but better than mine. Also, the portions were large, so that's something. There will be plenty of average leftovers for later. If you need an affordable place with good hours and free delivery, I will cautiously recommend this place, but only then, and one should keep their expectations low. read more

My boyfriend and I order the same thing for delivery each time: Pan Fried Noodles, Pork Dumplings, and Vegetable Egg Rolls. Although we haven't tried other dishes because we're only in Boulder during the school semester (and have since graduated), this meal is perfect whenever we're craving Asian food. For us, our entire delivery experience was fast and excellent. They were responsive with our delivery order and always call us to ask if we want the sauce for the noodles on the side (since pouring the sauce over fried noodles will just make it soggy). There are so much noodles that we're able to split it between two people! The Pork Dumplings are an absolute game changer. The dipping sauce is the perfect blend of savory and spice. Went on Christmas. Every Chinese food restaurant knows what's up on Christmas. Even though they should have been HEAVING with guests, they had like 3 tables. We were stoked to find a place that wasn't busy. Oh it was me, my wife, and my tiny little 7 year old buddy. We were given the cheapest menus printable and told to sit wherever. White paper, black text, inside office max binder sleeves. Not a problem! We're not picky! Let's grub it up. We sat at an empty table as an employee slurped broth and dumplings from a large serving dish about 4 feet away. Whatever, we all gotta eat sometime, no big deal! Let's just get a beverage? Ignored. My super well mannered 7 year old was friendly and waved to the passing staff. Ghosted. Let me reiterate; this was not a slammed busy restaurant on Christmas that I'm lampooning unfairly. They were practically empty. Carry out wasn't doing much either. Phone wasn't ringing. Other tables were pretty neglected too. They had enough staff walking about that it's a bit insulting to have been ignored that hard. I honestly think that maybe they realized that they were about to get more business than normal, and they didn't mind losing an eat-in table so they just ignored us until we took the hint and left. So, not to be dissuaded, we ordered via grub hub. It's been just over two hours now, and still no food. I've been in the industry for 15+ years, and I'm totally cool with waiting for service on holidays. I salute all of you who work in service on holidays, and do so with pride. But when you turn or your open sign and start seating guests, we expect you to be somewhat interested in our business. We were excited and ready to over look all the red flags. As far as Chinese food goes in the Boulder area, this has become out primary go to location for lunch at my work. We are averaging at least 2 times a week at this point, and the food is consistently good for us. WE order about for 3 to 7 people every time from the lunch menu, and everyone usually gets the same thing they did last time because of how much they enjoy it. The delivery is usually consistent as well as we order for a 12:00 delivery the food gets here between 12 & 12:15 which to us is acceptable given the lunch rush for Boulder. Some of the times we do have special requests with the food for things like making it spicy or no vegetables given some of our employees food allergies and they have always gotten the orders correct. The lunch portions are fairly huge which usually lets us take at least half of it home for dinner or to save for lunch tomorrow. On the occasion that we did order the dinner portion it too was large filling one of those standard black rectangular containers completely to the top. We find the sauces to be rich and full of flavor with very little need for salt or pepper, or any other modification to the sauce. The meats for beef and chicken have never been overcooked and are tender and flavorful. The fried rice is one of our favorites and has a really good flavor to it that isn't just wok oil and isn't dried out and crunchy. The only negatives that we wish would be improved is with their breaded dishes like sesame or sweet and sour. The breading is kind of generic and doesn't stick to the meat at all. Feels like a really thin pancake batter type of texture and usually contains a decent amount of oil in it. The batter itself adds a weird flavoring to whatever else is with it and honestly could use some improvement. read more

As far as Chinese food goes this is not good by any standard. The rice tasted old. Almost every product seemed like it had been sitting out all day. It's not that authentic and it's not that cheap and it's not that delicious. Why go? Also this place suffers from the eternal problem of giving white peoples super mild food due to stereotypes, instead of just asking people how spicy they want their food. Very lame. read more

Food took almost an hour to come out when the restaurant was empty (it was extremely cold and most of the lights were off.) It was lukewarm and the orange chicken we got was disgusting with half of it being burnt and the other half still frozen inside as if they left it in a pan without stirring it. Tea arrived and the water wasn't clear? Even though I had ordered green tea (and I know for a fact this place doesn't sell matcha), and again it was barely warmed up! Rice was hard as if they just pulled it out of the freezer and they gave us dirty dishes! The only good thing about this place is the takeout but after seeing how filthy this place is in person I will never order take out from here again; the floors were greasy (i found myself almost tripping several times); there was a pungent smell coming from the bathrooms it seemed like no one had bothered to fix it; I literally saw the waiter rub the dust off of the plate he gave us; the clearly visible kitchen had raw chicken thawing out on the floor in cardboard boxes; worst of we could hear the chefs complaining whenever we asked for something to be heated up or cooked throughly we barely got through our chicken when we decided enough was enough and left (we paid in cash.) that was the most disgusting experience I've ever had in a restaurant! All of this could've been excused if their food was like the food we had ordered from them on grub hub! I am severely disappointed and will never order from this disgusting place again! And I'd advise many of you not to either. read more

I was there in a very late flight and was trying to get a restaurant that time . It was one of the fewer that I can select. But it proved a very good choice time and my friends.
