I am the type to wrote a review only if I've had either a horrid experience or if I was super impressed. My in-laws locked themselves out of the house. It was the lock on the handle/knob, not the deadbolt. I messaged them on Yelp with details so I could get a quote. They responded within minutes and said they could get to my house in 30-40 minutes. As soon as I gave the okay, they really got to my house in 40 minutes and the price was exactly as quoted! They didn't even have to break the lock (unlike other locksmiths I've used which meant I had to buy a new door knob... grrrr). I was absolutely amazed by their responsiveness to the yelp message, their prompt service, their price, and the overall customer service. I hope I won't have to use them again but I know who to call if I do! read more

Wow this guy arrived quickly during the later hours of the day, changed the lock expertly, gave me a discount and he was on to the next call! read more

Our deadbolt lock was jammed on the front door. Dani G. Was very professional and knew exactly what to do. Since it wasn't an emergency we agreed he should come out the next day. He was on time and worked swiftly to complete the repair. I definitely will refer this company to my friends. read more

Absolutely stellar service! I got quotes from 10 different places and after weighing the quoted price with Yelp reviews, I went with Golden Hands Locksmith... so glad I did! David called me half an hour before the appointment time, was there before me, and was able to get the lock opened in 15 mins. It wasn't an easy job either since the lock couldn't be cut! Really appreciate the speedy and professional job. No offense, but I really hope I never see you guys again, but if I ever need a locksmith again, I know who to call! read more

Good, prompt service. I was prepared to replace a jimmy proof lock, but the technician told us he could repair the existing lock at a lesser cost. Be aware this company does not accept checks: cash or credit only. read more

Dani and Golden Hands EARNED my absolute highest praise. I was blown away by how quickly Dani responded to my inquiry and he was very flexible in scheduling my housecall. His quote was considerably more affordable than other quotes I received for the same job and the quality/speed of his work was excellent. I will be recommending Golden Hands to anyone who needs a locksmith in DC. COVID note-- Dani arrived exactly on time and wore mask and gloves for the entirety of his visit- much appreciated! read more

Highly recommend - very responsive and great communicator. Gave me a 2 hour window and was there right at the beginning of the window- reasonably priced and did a great job - very professional. Look no further! read more

The locksmith that came out was really nice and helpful. But I felt over charged because all he did was slide a piece of thick paper between the latch and it opened. It cost me $109 for that. I didn't even need new keys and I felt it was unfair to charge for a change in locks for a 1 minute job. read more

Broke off a key in my deadbolt. Issue was fixed within 45 minutes of my call. Highly recommend.

Our cleaning ladies accidentally engaged a lock that we don't have a key for. The same thing happened to my neighbor a few years ago and I remembered what a nightmare it was because the person she called in took the whole handle and lock off the door. So you can imagine my surprise and joy when Dani showed up to my apartment 20 minutes after I called him and had me in my apartment in less than 10 minutes. I highly recommend him. He's good at what he does, reasonably priced and willing to do emergency services. read more

Dani was terrific. When we first moved in he re-keyed our door lock and our mailbox lock. There were some issues with the mailbox latching, and he told us that he would come repair it free of charge. After a few months, the mailbox stopped closing so I reached back out, and he came and fixed the mailbox lock with no questions asked. read more

Rich was absolutely wonderful. Their competitive prices and high reviews are what made us choose them and the efficiency, honesty, professionalism, and kindness of the technician will keep Golden Hands Locksmith our go-to. We had recently moved and Rich had rekeyed all of our locks and installed 2 new locks/ handles (they were very old and uncooperative locks) for a VERY affordable price. Extremely happy with them! read more

Dani was prompt with his quote and I thought it was very fair. His response time through text was on point. He even let me know when he was 25-30 minutes away. He was fast to fix the problem. I am very happy with how it all worked out and I'd hire him again if I had to. read more

We just moved into a new home and needed our locks re-keyed. I called around and found these guys to be a more reasonable option that seemed to be well-liked by a few community references I sought out. After a few text exchanges, we were able to confirm a time the very next day for Golden Hands to come out and change our locks. Really responsive and flexible. Highly recommend for a hassle-free, convenient, and well-priced lock changing service. read more

Rich was great, he came within a few hours of my call. And more importantly, the initial quote was considerably lower than the other businesses. I highly recommend them. read more

Danny is a life saver!!! We literally walked out of landlord court, searched Yelp, called the number listed and Danny arrived 30 mins later to change the locks of our investment property. He was polite, professional and fast. I would definitely recommend him to all of my friends/colleagues in the area and become a repeat customer. As a realtor and landlord, finding a reliable small business in the district is priceless. Thanks again Danny! read more

So to make a long story short, i got locked out of my Adams Morgan Basement apartment last week and Called Goldenhands locksmith. I only had to wait about 25 minutes until Dani came to my rescue. he was very friendly and unlocked my apartment in less than 5 minutes! I highly recommend G.H. Locksmith. I started out with requesting a quote on Yelp and the service was excellent from the beginning. Some of the factors of the process that I appreciated were: 1. Prompt and clear communication 2. Upfront about fees/no hidden charges (service fees, rekey, fresh install etc.) 3. Showed up on time 4. Quick and thorough work 5. Accept credit card payment via Square read more

I'm extremely satisfied with the service I received from Golden Hands Locksmith. I called Dani around 4:30 pm on a Thursday to request a quote, but did not have all of the details on the locks (needed to know what locks needed to be re-keyed or changed completely). Dani requested that when I got home, I take pictures of the locks and he can give me advice on what I needed to do. Overall, Dani advised that I can save money by picking up locks in advance from the local hardware store and he would install on the next day (Friday). He even advise on options that would save me even more money! I highly recommend Golden Hands and if I ever need any additional services (such as smart locks) I'm calling here! read more

We are new homeowners and wanted a deadbolt installed into our solid wood front door. Dani gave a quote for the job and was able to show up the next day. He was communicative throughout the process and showed up exactly when he said he would. He was fast, courteous and did a great job. He even took care to not get wood shavings on our floor. Would definitely recommend. read more

A few hours before I was heading out for an international flight, I accidentally locked myself out of the house! In a panic, I called a friend who recommended these guys. If your locked out or you need to switch a bolt Danny is your guy. Danny provided me five star service in the middle of a thunderstorm. I had gotten locked out of our home and the moment I called Dani he said he would be on his way. He worked like a champ until it was all back in order. I was really impressed when Dany went back to the car in the poring rain to grab screws I did not even notice we were missing. read more

I've hired Dani many times. He's a life-saver. Prompt, respectful, friendly, affordable and reliable. What more can you ask for?

Good service and prompt response. I was locked out of my condo around 5pm. They showed up within 15 minutes and helped me get the key out of the lock without having to replace it. read more

Danny is a great professional. He's on time, trust worthy, fair, and provides the most cost effective solution. My Baldwin exterior door handle was broken. Rather than suggest a costly replacement - $240 for the handle and $35 for the install, Danny was able to repair it with a simple screw and bolt and charged only the $65 service fee. He also provided feedback on next steps should the problem come back. Lastly, he's very responsive over text. I'm very impressed. read more

Excellent Prompt Service We recently purchased a new home late evening and realized that I needed to have the locks changed immediately. We called golden hands right after closing on the home. They arrived within 1 hour and finished the job within 15 mins. I will defintely use their services in the future. read more

Confirmed an installation, he had me take a picture of all my locks, received a quote, and they didn't show up. When I inquired, was told they now have a "big job" and can't come out for two months. Don't waste your time. read more

Was able to have a locksmith come in without a couple of hours of even submitting the early-Saturday morning quote request, even though it was not even an emergency. Richard took his time and was patient, trying to work with old mechanics. Would definitely recommend! read more

Dani of Golden Hands helped me greatly in a tight situation! I was in the process of moving from my apartment building, and I realized I had lost the key to my bike lock, which left my bike attached to a gate. This was a U-shaped metal lock, so bolt cutters were not an option. I messaged Golden Hands after reading reviews on Yelp and got an immediate response. The movers were already loading the truck for a long-distance relocation, so time was of the essence. Dani showed up within the hour and quickly drilled off the lock. Now I get to take my bike to my new home! read more

I called around and found Golden Hands Locksmith to have the most reasonable prices. I have used other locksmiths in the past as well. DANI (not Danny) was very professional and it took him less than 5 minutes to change out my lock. However, as someone who once tried, unsuccessfully, to save money to change out a lock; the professionals are worth it. Danny was quick but efficient. I know that my lock was installed correctly and that gives me a peace of mind when I leave my house. Locksmiths are always on the move and almost any great Locksmith will quote you a estimate upfront and also charge a service charge. I highly recommend Golden Hands Locksmith. read more
