I called Dani around 4:30 pm on a Thursday to request a quote, but did not have all of the details on the locks (needed to know what locks needed to be re-keyed or changed completely). Danny is a great professional. He's on time, trust worthy, fair, and provides the most cost effective solution. My Baldwin exterior door handle was broken. Rather than suggest a costly replacement - $240 for the handle and $35 for the install, Danny was able to repair it with a simple screw and bolt and charged only the $65 service fee. Danny responded to my call immediately and came out the evening after Christmas in 30 minutes-- the best I could get from PopaLock was "we're booked out tonight but call back in the morning and we'll see what we can do!" Turned out the Smart lock wouldn't lock or unlock using the key, just the lever thing from the inside so getting in was a pain but Danny did it! (Danny says this happens all the time with Smartlocks, good to know but I wish the handyman hadn't put them on all my doors). We even got accosted by a bunch of neighborhood pre-teens asking us what we were doing breaking in at the back door, one with a little plastic slingshot -- pretty funny but thank god we weren't real bad guys... Dani explained they did not have a bond, no answer on the license. Then she says Golden Hands serves only DC, not Virginia. This too contradicts their web site, which says they serve DMV.
