The best! I've used Golden Garage doors now about 5 times. I thought I'd already left a review a couple of years ago but perhaps it was on a different site. Anyway, Jeremy is the kind of small business owner you just rarely find these days. A stand up guy that offers top notch customer service at remarkably competitive prices. I've used GGD for simple repairs and additions from tuneups, keypads and extra remotes to complete door replacement. Not only did he beat competitors' prices, he provided excellent service to boot. I've used Overhead door and other good companies I found on Angie's list but now I will call nobody but Golden Garage Doors. read more

Call'em! One of my garage door spring broke Friday evening and I planned a DIY project for Saturday. After unsuccessfully searching for parts at three stores, I began calling service companies to find parts. I spoke with Josh(?) and he had all the required parts and quoted me a very attractive price and could complete repairs that same day. This was already 3:00 pm! Lucky for me, Taylor arrived at 4:00 and brought not only parts but a great attitude! Because of his expert knowledge and professional demeanor I let him do the work! He went above and beyond, completed a thorough inspection, made reasonable recommendations and replaced and tuned not only the broken spring but all the other parts that made everything work as new. I got to watch! Thank You! PS, he was finished by 5:00!!! Highly recommend Boulder Garage Door. Yelp erroneously has their name as "Golden" Garage Door with address in Wa state. read more

I got a free estimate yesterday in the amount of $400. The extent of work needed was a $35 chain and cable and 30 minutes of installation that I was able to do myself. I understand that technicians need to get paid for their efforts, but this estimate was silly compared to what I actually needed. read more

Great company and Great Guys. On Monday my opener burned up to my main entry doors. That night I did some research on garage door openers and also local companies. GGD had installed a door for my neighbor across the street and they were extremely happy. I called and spoke with them first thing Tuesday morning and they had the door installed by the time I got home from work. The process was painless and they also did a great job explaining all of the functions for the new door. They also reprogramed all of the vehicles and did a Great job with the clean up. I am planning to replace the other opener and also have them install new garage doors in the fall. thanks for the great service, I always appreciate a local business that does quality work and has service front of mind read more

I stupidly backed into my own garage door UGH!!! Having given myself a swift kick in the rear, I researched a bit and called Golden Garage Doors. I left a message and received a prompt call back. Given that it was late in the day, we set an appointment for early the following morning for Jeremy to inspect and give me the (dreaded) estimate. The estimate was dreaded by me as I was anticipating a high estimate, maybe even replacement of the door or a significant replacement bill. Jeremy talked with me about the damage that was present, and my options for repair or replacement. I wanted to have the door be serviceable, and so a repair was what I chose.. The repair was completed quickly (in about an hour) and everything looks great! The door works well and seals well on the garage floor. Search no more, give Golden Garage Doors a call. I found them using Angie's List and they were "A" rated there, 5 stars on YELP. Good Job, Jeremy! read more

Great service and they came same day when requested. Very pleased with the young man who installed our unit. He was careful to clean up after himself. His explanation of the choices of garage openers was thoughtful for our needs. I would definitely return as a future customer. read more

Had these guys install safety sensors for our garage door and they apparently didn't check their work because the sensors didn't function at all. I ended up finding another service provider who fixed the issue. read more

It's hard to feel like you've been taken care by a business, but these guys are great. First time I've used them and I'm impressed. The guy who took my call was very friendly and took the time to take down all of my info and the repairs I needed. Since it was after lunch, I fully expected to not get on their schedule until the next day. However they squeezed me in same day due to another appt they had in my area. Joshua came out and was great. He made adjustments to the springs and my opener. And then he thoroughly maintenanced all the parts on my door and opener. He was also very personable and down to earth. The price was very fair. I'd definitely recommend them. read more

I am so very pleased with my decision to hire Jeremy and Golden Garage . I was treated professionally, kindly and with appreciation for my business. I did get a new garage door quote from him and another local company. The difference in professionalism between the two companies was so stark and so blatant. Golden was the right price for the value, the other company's quote that was texted to me....was less than Golden's but again, I cannot stress how unprofessional the 2nd quote company was. I did ask Jeremy to help me understand my quote better and he made it crystal clear the value he intended to bring to my project. My gorgeous new garage door is installed and I adored the installation process and the end result. Golden Garage Door exemplifies the Golden Rule we should al be living by! read more

This company is top notch! On a Friday morning the 3 other companies I called could not fix my garage door until Monday afternoon. I even explained my car was inside the garage and I needed help before Monday. When I called Golden Garage Doors the gentleman on the phone was very helpful and said he would have someone here within the next two hours. Their amazing tech, Joshua, was here in 30 mins and had my car out in 15 minutes. He repaired my door with new cables and reinforced brackets. He was informative, kind and hard working. Who could ask for more? My completely broken garage door was fixed in one hour. And the price was right! They had no interest in gouging me, a senior citizen, who was in desperate need. Call these gentlemen, you will be pleased! read more

Rarely contribute to Yelp but was inspired to by the service I received. So, had a broken spring 2/5/2015. Called Golden Garage and they: 1 - Arrived on time (called prior to arrival) 2 - Performed the switch 4 - Charged me an exceptionally fair rate. Such a nice surprise. And the technician was engaging, professional and informative. I am impressed by their business practices and quality of employees. If only other service providers were as efficient, friendly and trustworthy. One can dream. Highly recommended. read more

A cable that lifts my garage door broke on Sunday morning. I emailed Golden Garage Doors and received an immediate reply and estimate to replace the cable. First thing Monday morning, a repairman came to my house and not only replaced the cable, he lubricated all garage door parts, and made sure all parts were working. There was no up sell or change in the quoted price. I highly recommend this company for garage door repairs. read more

I am a retired Maintenance Engineering Analysts who spent his 31 year career in the maintenance field working for a multi billion dollar concern. Golden Garage Door replaced the springs on my residential garage door yesterday. The company is locally owned with a BBB A plus rating. The owner gave me a firm estimate over the phone. Uniformed garage door technicians with the Golden Garage Door emblem arrived promptly and performed the same day repair safely and above expectations at a very competitive price. read more

Great customer service! They replaced my garage door opener, springs, and other parts about 3 years ago. This week I had my house painted and thought I needed to have the garage door trim and seal replaced at the same time. We agreed on a price on the phone, but when they came out and looked at the job, I was told I didn't really need all that work. While here, they looked everything over, then would not charge me for the trip, since I was a repeat customer and everything was working just as well as it was when installed 3 years ago. Definitely recommend these guys. read more

I highly recommend this company. Very friendly, helpful and explained a lot about garage doors to me. I found them on the BBB website---had a perfect rating there and I completely agree. When I am ready to buy a new garage door, these are the folks i will be calling first. I called around to a few other companies from direct mail ads I had before calling here, so I know I got a good deal on the repair and tune-up. My garage door opener screw drive had come out of the wall and taken some drywall with it, so I had it repaired and the whole thing given a "tune-up". The tension in the garage door springs is what allows the heavy door to be opened, and it was likely an imbalance there that caused the problem I had. The guy explained how it should be easy to manually open, easy to manually close and stay open half way if you leave it that way--thats how you know you have the proper tensioning in the springs. (Mine would not stay open half-way) As the springs age and wear, they need to be adjusted or problems can arise, as they did for me, prompting the need for repairs. I would definitely recommend a "garage door" tune up every few years to prevent problems like the one I had. I didn't realize how many parts need to be in balance and how easy it is for things to go out. The rollers can go out, the "stop" mechanism can go out, the tension in the springs needs to be adjusted, and (for screw drives) the trolley can get stropped, among other things. I am no expert, but my thinking is to have a tune-up/inspection every 5 years. read more

STOP looking for other garage door companies and go with Golden Garage Doors! Today, 8/16/16 I needed service on my door. Immediately, I saw dollar signs flash in front of me and all I could think about was how I was going to be taken advantage of. Jeremy called to set up an appointment first thing this morning (returned my yelp quote inquiry) and said that either he or Joshua would be out to my house. He told me rough estimates over the phone and when Joshua showed up, he asked me what happened and then walked me through the fixes - that and pricing was on point with my first call. Joshua finished his work within a hour and walked me though what he fixed. He spent the time educating me on yearly preventative maintenance, tips and tricks, etc. Not once did I feel like i would be taken advantage of. Would HIGHLY recommend to all my neighbors and YOU. Will only use Golden Garage Doors from now on. THANK YOU, Joshua for your assistance and professionalism. read more
