My garage door was seemingly on the fritz and it was time to enlist some professional help. Advanced Door Works was quick to respond to my Request a Quote and had availability the next day. The technician arrived promptly, studied our door, and let us know what the problem may be (old parts and cold weather being among the main offenders). They do charge a service call fee but it was lumped into the total price including the parts he replaced to get our door in tip-top shape! Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Advanced Door Works after our painless experience. We'll definitely keep their number in our back pocket for any future garage door issues. read more

This company replaced my double garage door about 18 months ago. It wasn't cheap, but I needed it. I discovered this week, when my electricity went out, that there were NO handles on the inside or outside for manual lifting and closing. I cannot imagine why I wasn't at least given the option of getting handles at the time of purchase. As an older and small woman, I had a dangerous problem for getting my car out, without any handles. Today, I called to get the problem solved, and a bullying woman would not give me any idea about the cost of getting the handles (which I think should have been there in the first place), AND I was going to have to make two separate appointments, one for an estimate and another for the repair. Unpleasant experience. read more

The work is alright. Expect to be overcharged. $100 for showing up for repair. $800 to install a less than $300 device that took 1 guy 45 minutes. They said the cost was for warranty coverage, but when I called for repair 8 months later there was no warranty for labor past 60 days. read more

They were helpful and knowledgeable from first phone call to install. Prompt and professional service. Reasonable rates. Thank you!

The garage door motor needed to be replaced and based on the reviews, I called ADW. They offered such great customer service from a visit to diagnose the issue to the installation of the new Liftmaster. I was so happy with how quickly they made everything happen. The garage door is running beautifully now. read more

Great job installing two garage door motors. Very attentive and good advice. Also had them do some garage door maintenance. Very knowledgeable. Not cheap, but not many things are these days. read more

I had Advanced Door Works come out to do a tune up and also change out the bottom of the garage door gasket (the door itself sounded noisy and operated jerkily enough that I didn't think it would make it through another winter without problems). While doing the routine maintenance they inspected all the parts, and they found some warped rollers and replaced all of them all (it was over and above the tune up, but still very reasonable). The door now operates as smooth as when it was brand new. Everyone I talked to from the office to the field technicians had genuine expertise in their business, it was a pleasant experience communicating with people that know their business and aren't reading off of a script someone wrote for them. read more

We could not be happier with our new garage door! Ben and his team are top notch. Our door was affordable and the whole process was easy They were on-time, on-budget, friendly, but not pushy. We highly recommend them. David in Aurora read more

WAY TOO EXPENSIVE! The tech did a good job, but how is 1 hour worth of work worth $325 for someone who is doing the lowly trained job of fixing garage doors, when he didn't even need parts? Utterly ridiculous. read more

We were locked in our house with a broken garage door, and struggled to unlatch it unsuccessfully. I called Advanced Door Works, and they took my concerns seriously. They dispatched the owner of the company, Ben Cheney, to come over and open our garage door at no cost. He drove through heavy morning traffic to reach us. By the time he pulled up, I was leaping for joy outside because we all had to be at work or school. He opened our garage door, assessed the situation, provided a quote, and scheduled a service call for the next day. Our garage door was fixed with expertise, and we were very happy customers. All the hardware needed replacing since our garage door was made by a specialty company. and the parts are no longer available. Having a proper working garage door is a safety issue and needs to be taken care of by an expert with years of experience. Go with the best, and trust our experience. These guys are the best. Thank you again! We are very happy customers. read more

This was my most frustrating customer service experience ever. These people are nice but their communication is a complete mess. They don't keep record of things, no one knows what someone else tells a customer and their confirmations and follow ups are almost non-existent. Their final job ended up needing fixing, somewhat minor, but just the cherry on top of the most annoying and frustrating experience I've ever had. read more

I've had Advanced Door Works work on my garage door and opener multiple times. First call to them was for a garage door tune up. My door became so quiet and smooth that it felt like i had a brand new door! Years later the spring on my door busted and they were there in a day and got my door working! My latest experience with them was to have a new garage door opener installed. Always a great job!!! Great price, no gouging, great value!!! I highly recommend ADW for all your garage door work! read more

Of course, we pay no attention to the garage door until it's broken. That's what happened to me. Ned just came and educated me about the quality and benefits of having a better garage door opener system. He's fantastic! I felt cared for and about; great experience! Everyone made this easy. Thank you Ned and Kathy(phone person) read more

These folks are great. Great communication, very fast, punctual, reliable, great price and value. Replaced springs, fixed some things and tuned up my garage door. Tuned up the door too and it's never been quieter. Antonio did a great job. Thank you! read more

Very responsive! Ben came out and repaired our opener promptly. We have used this company since 1996 and highly recommend them!

Ben was very responsive and sent Ryan out within 2 hours. Amber followed to let me know he was on his way. He quickly diagnosed the problem, replaced the defective parts and tuned up and lubricated the door. He was professional and explained everything he was doing. Their rates were very competitive. read more

Had an issue with my garage door on Sunday, called them on Monday, and as of Wednesday at noon - it is fixed. Very knowledgeable service man - corrected multiple sources that led to the issues which gives me piece of mind that I don't have to think about my garage doors again for a long time. Walked me through it, handled it, and was on his way. I would definitely recommend to a friend and will have them back for my next service. read more

Great experience buying new insulated steel doors. After contacting about half dozen garage door companies for bids on a new set of doors, (including Costco...THAT was a miserable experience...never did get a price), found ADW, small local company (BIG advantage). No games, great pricing, easy to do business with, great tear out and install. Replaced 20year old insulated wood doors with insulated steel doors...WOW what a difference! Smooth operation, openers no longer struggle, quiet, solid seal. I called these folks for an over the phone bid for standard doors (I knew model and options already). Got great price, they came by for site inspection once I decided to go with them, (no upsale, just ensuring nothing weird about my install). The guy took a SMALL deposit right there in diveway (not the 50%+ some others require!), and he ordered the doors from supplier right there before he left! Couple week later, doors were in, scheduled install and BAM, new doors. Installers charged my card upon completion, and done! I really appreciate the straight forward frictionless way these folks do business, and very happy with my new doors! read more

I use Advanced Door Works for my home and all my rental properties. They are my go to garage door repair company. Ned always does a very professional job - quick, easy to schedule, polite, and reasonably priced. I probably have 8 Garage Door companies in my phone contacts from over the years, and I'm just so glad I found Advanced Door Works because I don't use any of these other companies anymore. read more

Great service ! Fast quick and amazing !! They have been in business for 30 years ! We have used theses guys for 20 years !! Use them !

Great service! Came home from work last night to find my garage door wouldn't open. Called Advanced Door Works and they were able to come out on a Saturday. The technician showed up in the allotted window they gave me and was quick to fix my door! Greatly appreciate their timely service and affordable prices! read more

Ned tuned up our door which was running rough and had a lot of loose bolts. he arrived during window of time promised and was very reasonably priced. Thanks!! read more

They gave us a 2 hour window, 1-3 and showed up just before 1. I LOVE that. They came in UNDER the price that they quoted over the phone and fixed our broken garage door quickly. They also came out SAME day! My husband dealt with them mostly, but when I went into the garage, I was greeted nicely. You never know what someone is going through on a particular day and business owners are no different. Maybe someone's sense of humor is different than yours, but it's a lesson I'm learning and something I try to keep in mind when writing reviews. No one is perfect so if they do a good job, unless they are blatantly rude or threatening, try giving them the benefit of the doubt. In this case, we didn't have to - they did a great job and I'd have them come out again should we have a need for their services. read more

I was referred by a neighbor to use advanced door works. I had just gotten back from vacation and realized the spring had broken. I was dreading to have to call any company to get an idea of what it would cost me. However, when I called they were the most reasonable in the whole area to complete the work. Ned is extremely knowledgeable and it didn't take as long as I thought it would. He ended up replacing the springs and the rollers at such a reasonable cost I will recommend him to all my friends. My garage is so quiet now (has been noisy since I bought the house) it's amazing! You can't go wrong with calling and setting up an appointment! read more

Thank you Yelp, for helping us find Advanced Door Works. Our garage door broke on a holiday weekend, but Ned came to our rescue and quickly fixed our spring. Friendly and efficient, we would recommend to anyone who needs garage door work. read more

Excellent service. Arrived on time, nice guy, fixed the door opener quickly, fair price, will use them again.

My garage door had been giving me trouble the last few days and I called another company that could not get out for a week. Found Advanced Door Works on yelp and they were able to get out right away. Ned came out to fix my door, provided some education on how the door works/ why it wasn't working and overall, the experience was great. The service was quick, Ned was very friendly, and the work was professionally done and priced reasonably. read more

We've had Ned from Advanced Door Works coming out to do repairs since 2011 - very thankful for the sticker next to the door opener that shows our repairs and who to call! He's extremely knowledgeable, timely and professional and I highly recommend to give him a call when you need a repair, installation or anything garage door -related! Today he came out to replace a broken spring and strut and the entire call was finished in 40 min. read more

This is the 2nd set of springs we've had Ned install and couldn't be happier. Appointment times were easy and Ned was right on schedule. He takes the time to tune the door and opener to where it operates perfectly. In the 11+ years we got out of the last springs, prices have held steady and the service is even better. Thank you Ned for getting us back in business! read more

One of our two garage door springs broke the previous night. I initially called the company I have used in the past, they could not get to our house until late afternoon. After a quick Google search I came upon Advanced Door Works and I could not be happier. Ned got to the house quickly, helped pop the garage door and everyone but me could get on with things. About 20 minutes later the springs were replaced. They are quite a bit better than what my builder put in and I was happy with the cost of the work too. I readily recommend Advanced Door Works. read more

Late last night we heard a loud crash when closing the garage door, and this morning, it didn't work. Knowing nothing about garage doors, I called Advanced Door Works, and the woman who answered was able to correctly identify the problem (snapped spring) over the phone - always impressive to someone like me who is not handy at all. They were out the same afternoon, and replaced the springs. Ned was really nice and the fellow training with him was too. Thanks for fixing my door so promptly!! read more

We highly recommend Advanced Door Work because we've used them for 20+ years. They provide excellent service & are always professional, reliable, prompt & fair. We love Ned and won't call anyone else! read more

One of my garage door springs broke. I called a few companies to shop price. What I found was companies were all over the board for price, warranty, and the quality of springs. Turns out garage door springs are rated on cycles, I was quoted springs ranging from 7500 cycles (1 cycle is one up and down) to 25000 cycles. There was also a range of warranty from 1 year to 4 years. Cost was also all over the board too. I decided on Advanced Door because they offered the highest quality spring, with the best warranty and they had a fixed price. Ned came out, replaced both springs and gave the door a service....now it's much quieter than it was. Thanks for being an upstanding business! read more

I'll start by saying that I had a GREAT experience with Advanced Door works! Travis came by and he was incredibly professional, friendly, and informative. Not only did he do a great job, but he also took time out and educated me on what was happening with the door, what might happen in the future, and also showed me how to adjust the sensors so that I wouldn't have to call them again to come out and fix something that would cost me $70 each time. That's is what I call great customer service! I highly recommend Advanced Door Works to anyone looking to service their garage door by an honest, friendly, and professional company. read more

Spring broke in the morning on Saturday and I called shortly after noon for an appointment. Made one for Monday. Got a call an hour or so later and said they could squeeze me in now which was great!. Ned came and replaced both springs and a roller that was broken. I paid and Ned left. I had to pickup and dispose of the broken roller. I then tried the garage door opener and nothing happened. I flipped the breaker and the opener was getting power but wasnt moving the garage door which was left in the open position. I called and spoke to the lady dispatcher who promptly called Ned. I got a call minutes later and was told to flip the lever on the garage door to re-engage it with the opener which fixed the problem. Could have been 5 star if they were better at cleanup and tested the system to make sure everything worked before leaving. read more

Advanced Door Works was recommended to me by my neighbor after a cable on our garage door opening assembly had broken. I received a call back from a very nice lady who helped to set a time and said that Ned Schvaneveldt would be coming out to fix our problem. Ned is a wonderful person and was extremely helpful. Ned noticed that the cable had popped off and noted that the springs had put in a few years back were actually two strong from a door as light as ours. He recommended changing those out to lighter duty springs. Without me explaining what I had seen our door do with the old springs, he explained the issues that are typically seen with a heavier spring and said that he could easily fix the issues. He noted his prices up front and charged me exactly what he quoted. He also noted potential issues on our smaller door and took time to assess what could be done in advance of that happening. What a great experience from beginning to end. My thanks to Ned for a great job. We will definitely be in touch when we need help again. read more
