Can't say enough good things. On a Friday night, my 11 year old garage door would not close. For the past week it had been making terrible noises. I could tell a rail was bent but didn't dare to try to mess with it myself. I called Garage Door Guys on a Saturday morning and spoke to Sheena who answered to phone in person--and was totally sweet, sympathetic and helpful, and she offered same day service at 1:00 -- 2:00 pm. Mitch was on my doorstep at exactly 1:00 pm. He not only took care of my problem, he lubricated and serviced the door, programmed the door to work with my car (which I had never been able to figure out because it involved having to do something to the unit itself) and reprogrammed my digital opener which had stopped working. And fixed a few other "little things" he found that I had been neglecting. The whole thing was less than $250. Door is now working perfectly and sounds so much happier, too! The first time I used the garage door guys was last year when I couldn't get my garage door to open and close call the office very smart and formative person answer the phone and said that she would send someone out right away Mitch arrived promptly and inform me that I just hadn't pushed the rope back enough to engage the mechanism then charge me anything first time didn't charge me for coming out was so courteous friendly I didn't try to tell me any services or tell me I needed anything that wasn't necessary fast-forwarding to today I came home after a long day of work and my garage door wouldn't open the keypad wouldn't work the remote in the car wouldn't work needless to say didn't know what to do had to climb over my fence which was locked to get into the house and called the garage door guys office once again I believe Gina answered I'm not sure if I spelled her name correctly so nice so polite so comforting she said she would send someone else as soon as possible mind you this was after 5 Mitch arrived about 20 minutes later and unfortunately my spring had sprung and needed to be replaced he worked on it for the next couple of hours kept me informed of what he was doing explained everything thoroughly and my garage door got fixed and they also give you 10% off if you pay cash I can't recommend this company more highly I wish I could give them 10 Stars Mitch is absolutely an honest repair person doesn't try to upsell explains everything and shows you everything even if you don't really understand it if you ever have a problem with your garage door call the garage door guys there locally owned and ask for Mitch he's the best read more

They were able to help on short notice with my garage, but charge $140 for labor. A quick fix.

One of the springs on my double garage door snapped. I called many places to compare pricing and was given a ballpark of $190 for Springs plus $150 for labor. Their website had a coupon for $73.95 off a service call and I confirmed over the phone that would be applied to the ~$340 total cost. $340 minus $74, so $266 seemed reasonable an in-line with other quotes I received. I went with Garage Door Guys and they even arrived early which was great. As the repair went on it turned into "you need new cables, probably good to replace the bearings and rollers while things are disassembled". I figured I'd saved the $74 with the coupon so why not... may as well get it done. By the time they were finished my bill came out to $533. The $74 was additional to the cost of the springs and labor and that definitely was not clear on the phone. Had I been told straight up that it was going to cost a min of $350 I would have gone with a cheaper quote I received. I also noticed the belt for my belt-Drive opener was sagging out of the track after the guy had left so I ended up adjusting that myself. Overall service was good, but the final pricing was not in alignment with my expectation from my initial call with beforehand which made it feel a bit bait and switch. read more

I made an appointment for an estimate for a new garage door. The estimator did not call or show up during the hours they said they would be there. He then called 1 1/2 hours after the time slot, and complained about wasting his gas to get there because I had left for work without calling them! How about this-be where you're supposed to be when you're supposed to be there! Or call if you are running behind! If you can't get that right I'd hate to see how one of your projects goes.
