Beautiful threading job. Owner is very sweet and attentive. Eyebrows look amazing!! Will be back again

The only place I get my brows done. Not only she precise, she actually cares. And once your eyebrows to be as full and healthy as possible. Definitely recommend booking an appointment with Uma. Parking is easy, and you can grab some groceries at Trader Joe's once you're done. read more

Uma was really wonderful and a pro with threading. I have been neglecting in self care and my eyebrows looked like overgrown caterpillars when I went to her today. I called ahead and she said she could take me. She's inside the Sola Salon Studio but has a window unit facing outside which is nice because she gets natural light. She did an expert job with my eyebrows and face. I liked her much more than the last place I went to in Oakland for threading which tried to sell me lamination services which she said I do not even need. I will be back Uma! Thank you for the TLC I really needed for my hair removal today! read more

Uma is incredible! I've been going to her for over a year now, and I've stopped going to any other threading salon (I live in SF but make the trek out to El Cerrito every week b/c it's worth it!) I have a low pain tolerance & sometimes will leave threading sessions at other salons with some hair still left b/c of the pain but Uma is so gentle & patient, I've now gone from just doing upper lip & eyebrows to doing my full face with her every week. I've seen my hair growth reduce over time, & now have much less hair in between threading sessions than before. Last note is that Uma also is so sweet :) she treats everyone like family, and goes out of her way to make sure you're comfortable. A pro tip is that she's usually booked Fridays but if you come Monday - Wednesday after work, she's less busy - if you're in the area, definitely stop by!! read more

Hello, My name is Brenda, and I want to say that this is the best place to get your eyebrows threaded. Uma is very precise with her work & very attentive to her clients. I love how you tell her what's wrong with your eyebrows; & she works her magic. It's been one year since I lived in the area, and I went to do my eyebrows in Marin, where they completely messed up my eyebrows. I waited to grow them back so I could come back here to get them fixed. The lady here brought my eyebrows back to life; I was so content that she shaped my eyebrows! I can't thank her enough! If you're looking for an excellent place to get your eyebrows done, I recommend this place! I've learned my lesson and will be a loyal client to Uma read more

I haven't gotten my brows threaded probably since the last time I came here about 2 years ago. I just moved back to the area and found the establishment under a new ownership and it's no longer Renu who does the eyebrows but Uma who is also amazing! She was so fast, friendly, and precise. She truly cares about your shape and helps you relax. I loved how when she did my upper lip she also took care of some of the hairs in my upper nose area which I didn't even know was possible, as I used to wax that part. I highly recommend this service and place. She truly deserves to be fully booked. It was only 25$ for both and with tip I paid about 28$. She accepts card or Apple Pay which was great as well. Thank you Uma for the excellent service! read more

I specifically gave Her direction on not touching areas of my eyebrow hairs & only wanted minimal clean up (I pointed to the areas - I wanted to threaded). I was told - "ok, I got it, don't worry" I HATE IT WHEN SOMEONE SAYS OKAY & DOES OTHERWISE. Months of growth gone because this lady decided my eye brows would look better her way. Sorry doesn't make up for ruining my eye brows. I don't recommend. read more

This was my first time here and I'm so glad Renu was available to take me as someone was leaving. She was patient and checked with me as she was threading my eyebrows to ensure I was pleased with the shape. Her space is in the Sola Center and I love that it's just you and her and not a bunch of people sitting around waiting. Her shop was clean and she was quick. Renu did a wonderful job and I will definitely return! I read more

I absolutely recommend this place, Uma is the best!! I have tried many places in the past, so I know amazing skills and great service when I see it. I've been a regular going in biweekly for the last few years, and she does my threading and henna in my eyebrows, making them look perfect. She is so kind, and mindful of my time, and has trained me to not touch my eyebrows until my appointment with her. What a difference good guidance makes. I highly recommend UMA!! read more

Been going to Uma for about 2 years now. She's great with taking me in as a last minute walk in though sometimes there's a little bit of a wait which is understandable (my fault for not scheduling ahead of time). I don't trust anyone else with my brows, she does them exactly the way I want them. I've even got my boyfriend going to her. read more

Uma is always great. She tells me the exact time she is done with other clients so that she can fit me in. I appreciate their work!

I love this place and Renu. She is warm and caring. I have been visiting her for my eyebrows for 3 years now. We always have profound and deep conversations which I love about Renu. She isn't just a beauty specialist who does the small talk. She is very conscientious person. I always love my eyebrows after she is done. I have a scar on my left eyebrow and she always takes care to properly trim around it. She maintains the top notch cleanliness in her work area which I have NEVER SEEN in other businesses. I went to her just yesterday and would love to share the pictures of my visit. read more

Service is great and fast! I really enjoyed the music that she plays on the TV while you're there too. I did have a hard time calling, but Uma is sometimes in there working by herself, so be patient or just wait a bit and you'll be able to walk in! read more

I am very picky with who does my eyebrows, and I gotta say that Uma is amazing! She has helped me with the shape of my eyebrows and I really appreciate that she takes her time to do them. She always makes sure to check with me to make sure it's what I want. She listens to what her customers want. The space is clean! She's always cleaning and disinfecting the chairs, prices are reasonable as well. I honestly have to say that this place is the best hands down, you will not be disappointed. Trust the process and trust Uma. Thank you Uma!!! read more

I have been coming to this threading salon for at least a year now. I'm a south Asian male so I have thick hair and need a lot of attention for eyebrows. The ownership changed recently to Uma, who takes good care of my concerns and checks in with how I feel and look. Her process is fast and painless, and I love coming back again and again! Uma makes sure you get enough time to complete your service, and is also willing to stay late if you have an appointment near closing-time. Highly recommend! read more

I've been going to this salon for a few years now and recently the ownership has changed to a lady named Uma. I'm giving her 2 stars because her work is good, but this is the 4th time she has been late for my appointment. I tried giving her the benefit of the doubt but today she was 40 mins late and told me it's because she didn't see me waiting. What really happened is she took another client during my time. She did offer an apology but it's too little too late. read more

I just left my appointment crying. I get married in 4 days and my eyebrows look completely different than what I wanted and would have expected from a professional. I've been here one time before and my eyebrows looked nice afterward, which is why i went back again. However, this visit went horribly wrong. For starters, the woman was 10 minutes late to our appointment. When she finally got there she walked in and got on the phone. I finally knocked on the door and she asked me if I had an appointment? Mind you, this appointment has been booked for over a week now. But the worst part is, one eyebrow is much thinner and smaller than the other. When I pointed this out, the woman told me that my eyebrows grow differently and that it's "just my eyebrows." I showed her a picture of what my eyebrows looked like before I came in and she blew it off. She just kept saying that it's my eyebrows and that if I wanted, she could make the other one smaller?! Like, im sad because one of my eyebrows is pencil thin, why would I want the other like that?! I like my eyebrows being full! Im not sure why I still paid, and I felt like I still had to tip because she's hovering over me while I make my payment... needless to say, I won't ever be coming back. I'm so distraught that this happened right before my wedding and that the situation was handled the way it was. Buyer beware. read more

Renu is no longer here, and the replacement Henna Artists are abysmal as well as super rude. Not to mention always late. They mocked what I wanted, which was a traditional North African henna style. It is remarkably simple, and somehow they messed it up, laughing and mocking it all the while. If you're from any part of Africa, AVOID - they have a bias! read more

Really happy with my service here. I came in as a walk-in and was seated right away. The place itself is small, tucked into the interior of Sola Salons. I missed it the first time and I had to walk around the building to find the entrance, but found my way. I ended up getting an entire face threading. It went by super fast and nearly painless as the woman helping me was nice and made light conversation. The entire place is very clean and tidy for how small of a space it is. She did a great job and definitely am thinking about coming back! Also there's plenty of parking in case that's an issue for some. I can get in and out of the place (while my face is still slightly red, LOL) and head home. read more

Uma is great I've been getting my eyebrows done by her for about a year now. She's super welcoming and nice.

Best eyebrow threading place ever, she takes her time to leave your eyebrows perfect. Super nice and very clean space!

Renu is the best!!!! I have never gotten my eyebrows threaded before, I heard rumors about how painful it was and it scared me. But one day I decided to try it out for myself. I found Golden Eyebrow threading through Yelp, and Renu welcomed me with open arms. I explained to her how I have very sensitive skin and a low pain tolerance. She listened to everything I said and did an amazing job! I barely felt any pain at all. I have been coming faithfully every 2-3 weeks and I will never allow anyone else, besides Renu touch my eyebrow! Through time she got my eyebrows to grow fuller and I am happy with the results every time! You must go to Renu at Golden Eyebrow threading!!!!! read more

If you're looking for a threading place you can trust, that gives consistent results, no drama, low pricing, never a long wait, easy parking, convenient location, good energy....this is it!! I've always been super happy with the results and the owner is super kind and very skilled. As you can see by all the 5 star reviews she's got a ton of fans, and with her move to the new studio downstairs the location is even more convenient. Only problem is that after seeing her, you'll become addicted to having flawless brows all the time, and you won't want to DIY or go anywhere else!! read more
