There used to be a lady that answered the phone that was scary with delivery orders but that has changed. Now I can make easy orders over the phone. I love their food! The kung pao chicken is so good but not too spicy. I sometimes like to ask for extra spicy if you like a little more kick. They have really good crab ragons, and the portion size for what you order alot! I like the spring rolls, but the one with cabbage in them. And we always get the chicken lo mein or the combination lo mein. Delivery is always pretty fast. I haven't had an issue with the delivery yet.

While the service at Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant is friendly the food itself is not fairly average. We ordered the Triple delight and eggrolls to share as we tend to order too much food when trying a new spot -- a major disappointment absolutely no taste, meat, rice bland. if you are looking for authentic flavor profiles, distinct savory sauces, or consistent spice levels, this is just standard, run-of-the-mill takeout quality. It is not decent for a quick, budget-friendly lunch special, but it is certainly not the best in town. Don't let the parking lot fool you as it was full but definitely not patrons of this restaurant.

I'm not big on bashing small businesses because I understand that mistakes happen. However, this…read morewasn't the first time I received an incorrect order--it was the second. The first time, I simply made do with what I received. This time, I contacted the company because several items were incorrect. The gentleman who initially answered the phone was sweet as pie and tried to assist, but unfortunately, he didn't have a resolution for my issue. Shortly after we hung up, I received a call from someone who stated that he was the owner. He was initially very apologetic, and I sent him pictures showing what I ordered versus what I actually received. He explained that DoorDash posts the pictures of the food, not his company. He offered to refund me for two items, but I explained that I still wasn't satisfied because the one item I did receive was room temperature at best. At that point, the entire order was essentially a loss. When I asked for a full refund, I was told that I needed to return the food. I explained that the food had already been delivered, so I wasn't sure how I was expected to return it. That's when the conversation completely changed. The owner accused me of trying to get money from his company, said I was manipulating them, continued making disrespectful comments, and ultimately hung up in my face. That part bothered me more than the incorrect order. Mistakes happen. Food gets mixed up. Orders can be prepared incorrectly. I can understand all of that. What I don't understand is making a customer feel as though they are dishonest or trying to take advantage of your business simply because they are asking for a resolution to a problem. At the end of the day, my family still didn't have dinner, I paid for an order that was not properly fulfilled, and the biggest concern seemed to be defending the business rather than providing customer service. I genuinely wish the outcome had been different because I try to support small businesses whenever I can. But customer service matters especially when something goes wrong. How you handle the mistake can leave a much bigger impression than the mistake itself.

The booths have a privacy curtain also. We went in and got a server real quick who took our drinks and appetizers order. They were brought out in great time. The orange chicken comes on a plate by itself, it looks like meat balls but it tastes so good, minus the orange peel it was too much rind. (So bear that in mind to take them out if you don't like the rind taste) The combination lo mein is good but it needed a bit more flavor so I used my orange chicken sauce to sauce it. The servers were great and helpful. Place is clean and smells fresh. Will definitely go back to dine in.

The servers have always been attentive and friendly, and the restaurant is spacious, so it's a good spot for family dinners or larger groups.

Unfortunately, I shouldn't have ignored the average reviews, as this is what it turned out to be. I had lunch at Bambi House this last Friday for the first time. I was disappointed for a couple of reasons: my Orange chicken was basically mostly tempura and very thin slices of chicken. I had purchased the orange chicken, which was $9.85, with egg fried rice. The chicken was average in flavor, but as I mentioned before, the chicken was in thin slices; therefore, I mostly had tempura drowned in the orange chicken sauce. The fried rice was bland in flavor. Honestly, I agree: half and the re w the rest away. Admittedly, all of the 5-star reviews I read praised the duck, so perhaps that's what they're really good at. Unfortunately, I will probably never be back, because thin slices of chicken don't meet my expectations.

The restaurant is in a large strip mall and parking was plentiful. We arrived around 11:30 am on a Saturday and were surprised to see that the restaurant was empty. The waitress seated us promptly and was friendly. The decor is simple. The beef noodle soup was amazing! The broth was very hearty and flavorful; the meat was perfectly cooked and super tender and the noodles were the perfect accompaniment to the spectacular dish! The xiao long bao were also delicious. The wrapper was sturdy and the meat was well seasoned with a generous amount of soup. I like how each XLB was served in a foil container so that you don't have to worry about the soup dripping all over the place. The oil spill noodle had excellent flavor, but I wish I had ordered the hand pulled noodle. The fried fish was piping hot and crispy with a nice Sichuan kick. My diagnosis: one of the best beef noodle soups in the Houston area with other solid Asian staples!
