So I use to get golden chick last semester and I haven't had it in a while so I decide to go get some after work today. I placed an order through the drive through. Now I've had this problem before I think with their chicken strips being the size of my pinky. I don't want to sound greedy but why am I paying almost 13$ for chicken strips if they are going to be the size of my pinky and mashed potatoes cold? Don't think I'll go back to this location. I will definitely update my review once the place gets a bit more established- I had gotten the 6 piece tender (all spicy) and they barely put any zing spice on it, as depicted below. The chicken was a little cold; I suspect from them taking it out of the fryer too early due to the dinner rush. Same goes for the fries. They tasted fine, but had patches of cold spots. I would still go to Golden Chick, but hope they work out some of the kinks within the coming weeks- definitely put more spice on the spicy tenders!! I don't mind waiting the extra few minutes for everything to be nice and warm. read more

I'm sorry but for some of these bad reviews I don't understand I literally go to Golden Chick 3 times a week and have never had a bad experience. Sometimes the drive thru is a wait but that's just because they are busy inside and in drive thru and if you ever have worked in the restaurant industry you would definitely understand. If there ever is a long drive thru wait they sometimes give extra food or make your experience better at the drive thru window. These people are trying there hardest so let's support this company by uplifting them!! All of my friends go here at least 3-4 times a week! read more

The service here has gone downhill. This is my second time within the last month or so where I have had bad service. Tonight I went and there were 2 people on the mic. One was making rude comments, and the other took my order. Not to mention, the price was wrong. I ordered the same thing yesterday but was quoted over a $1 more tonight. Jesus, Carlos, and Boston were 3 of the workers tonight. They also claimed management wasn't there, but i saw the car (Toyota) was parked in the spot it was parked yesterday They claimed she left with another manager. I will be contacting the manager, and if it isn't resolved, I will be contacting corporate. It's beyond ridiculous at this point. The food is great when you receive it, but I refused to get my order after giving the workers a piece of my mind. You cannot and will not stay in business if it does not change. read more

Service is always slow no matter what time of day or how long the line is. Rarely get the order correct and numerous times our food has come out cold or tasted as if it had been setting for a few hours under a heat lamp. I've driven by this place for a year or two since it was built, thinking, yeah, that's what we need, another fried chicken place. But my husband tried it while traveling elsewhere and recommended it, and it's delicious! Of course, it's a splurge as far as calories go, but the chicken tastes like fried chicken that I had when I was a child and didn't know where I could get anymore. And, it's hot, fresh, crispy, juicy. I love that fried okra is on offer as a side -- Not a native of the south, but I've grown to love it. My husband likes the dirty rice, lots of flavor. The mashed potatoes are bland and boring but I have high mashed potato standards ;) and want them peeled and made fresh, something you can't get in fast food. We've gone three times now, in a rather short period of time, so we're going to have to spread things out a bit or eat kale the rest of the week. Take your time and speak slowly when ordering at the speaker - I'm not sure how good the quality of the microphone is. (And maybe some of the people working there speak more than one language, which is more than most of us.) Oh, one of the times I got catfish instead of chicken, and loved it! read more

my dad ordered big red and a Dr Pepper 4 wings and 4 original tenders AND Gravy, BUT instead i get a a whole different thing we ordered our order was completly changed. And the prices just make it worse cause we spent $27 on a whole different meal we didn't even pay for. Workers are incompetent. I called because I didn't get my food from Grubhub, and they put me on "hold" but I heard them arguing about losing my meal. This is the worst golden chick I have ever visited in my life. Every time I come here it always takes forever for our food to come out and it's not like they're even busy. There is no one ever in the line and it always takes 20-30 minutes to get my food. If you're expecting "fast food" don't come here because that's not what you'll get. read more

I used to go to Golden Chick all the time, but it seems like each time I go they raise their prices by 75¢. This wouldn't be bad if it was every once in a while, but it has become too expensive for its quality. Went this afternoon for lunch and the service was bad, took me 25 minutes to get a 4 piece tender meal with fries in the drive through. Maybe if the food was fresh it would be excusable, but both the chicken and the fries were cold when I got home. It's a real shame bc this used to be one of my favorites. I was picking up an Uber Eats order. The order had come in 15 minutes before I got there. I still had to wait 25 minutes for it, so I did complain about the long wait. The manager followed me out to my car and said don't ever come back, and if I did, he would refuse to serve me. Not what I would call professional behavior. Ironically, I still have what's left of a 10 piece personal order in my refrigerator. So it looks like I can never eat at Golden Chick again, or even pick up an Uber Eats order. I went to Golden Chick twice this month and had two negative experiences. The first visit, I waited for an HOUR for my meal, which was only a one piece chicken combo. I was told to pull up and I think they forgot about me until I rolled around to the drive thru again. At first I asked for a refund and they said they don't do that and they can comp my meal instead. I was fine with that. I went a second time and asked to use the comped meal and I gave them my coupon and said the manager on duty gave them to me and they said they don't use those anymore. I had high hopes for the roasted chicken when I ordered. The chicken I received was moist but almost black. The grease was orange so obviously there was paprika or some spice on the chicken but the chicken tasted of nothing but salt. I checked the nutrition information when I got home and yes ... salt. For the basically the same amount of sodium in one roasted chicken thigh I could have had a fried thigh AND 3 fried chicken tenders. We have eaten at this Golden Chick many times since it opened. No problems until tonight. Ordered the usual roasted breast/wing combo. Was told they didn't have any roasted wings ready so husband said a thigh could substitute. When got home found 2 thighs in each box- no breasts at all. Tried to call the restaurant and no answer then went to voicemail saying the voicemail box has not been set up yet. POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE when you can't reach the food establishment you just visited!! Will think twice before going there again. read more
