    Steak Fillet Salad
    Matt M.

I usually avoid chain restaurants, but this particular chain restaurant provided a nice meal one night. I had the Steakhouse Filet Salad with romaine, fresh tomatoes, and more. My salad was well prepared and generously sized. My table service was friendly and efficient.

Bone-In Ribeye with loaded Baked Potato

Upon walking in into the restaurant it was very busy and crowded, especially for it being a Tuesday, so if you were wanting to go for an event or bringing more than just a few people I would call and make a reservation beforehand. The restaurant is very traditional and midwestern but the food is pretty decent if you are going for a VERY casual date or even a quick lunch with family. It does get loud when there is a football game going on so be aware of that. We were sitting in a pretty small area which was quite uncomfortable but our server we were given was extremely nice throughout the whole meal which I believe is what made the experience better for us both. To start we got the famous texas roadhouse rolls and cinnamon butter and for appetizers we ordered cheese fries with bacon, and a Cactus Blossom as well. I also ordered a side house salad with my 8oz steak and loaded baked potato. My husband ordered the bone in ribeye and potato. We both agreed the steak was sub par and the fries were soggy, however with that being said the onion was crispy and the rolls were delicious as always. We probably would come back for a quick bite but definitely wouldn't come back for a date.

This is our family "go-to" restaurant for most occasions. Good steaks (bone-in ribeye) with solid service.

The food is always tasty and the service is usually good. They have the best salad in town. Just a little crowded.

It's popular. It's got history & tradition…read more It's loud on loud. And it's fun! You mention Stillwater and most anyone knows the Eskimo Joe's brand. This place is as Okie State as anywhere in town, with multiple levels and people EVERYWHERE. Want to visit on a fall Saturday game day? Yeah, so does everyone else. But Eskimo Joe's is big enough to handle a LOT of people, what with multi-tiers and decks to accommodate those crowds. I can't imagine what the fire marshal has to go through when assessing the place, but hey, they serve good bar & grille food and plenty of drinks, so those are wins, right? Find a seat - often 'open' seating during those busy-busy times - and you'll have a screen sightline in any direction. Sportsball is everywhere, and with numerous bars in different areas, you don't have to go far to get a drink. The menu has some, uh, college-friendly eats, like Frito-pies & smothered fries, big burgs, & more, like the Messy Pig, a delicious disaster of a pulled pork sandwich. It's not exactly that heart-smart variety, but YOLO, and they do have plenty of light fare. Grab a beer in their recognizable plastic cups and just kick back and enjoy. The food is good, the drink prices are fair, and the atmosphere is more than just Joe College. Service comes at you from all directions but you're free to sidle up and get your drinks wherever you find an open spot. Happy hour runs afternoons Mon-Fri and the service staff will tell you that every day is 'fry day', suggesting fries smothered with goodies. You're likely not parking right in front of EJ's, but that is kind of the mystique. Also, don't miss a run through their branded merch store because the Eskimo Joe's logo is fairly well-represented everywhere. Yes, it's a 'bar' and yes it's loud, but soak up that college-y vibe at one of the premier spots in Stillwater.

Plentiful seating. We ordered a set of onion rings/zucchini sticks that were very good. For our main meal, I had a Sweet Pepper Bacon Cheeseburger and my wife had a Turkey Malt. Both were good. Turkey was a tad dry but was otherwise tasty. The VERY BEST was our server! She was a student at the university with a great background working with horses her whole life. Nicest young lady we could have met on this trip. Will definitely be back to Eskimo Joe's next year while in Stillwater.

I came here a couple times when I was pregnant and got great mocktails, too. My husband got the smoked old-fashioned and really enjoyed it. We tried the basil pesto & goat cheese crostini and the spinach artichoke dip. Both were amazing! The negatives: It was a little loud, but not unbearable sitting by a wall. I would not love if I had to sit in the middle of the room. Getting seated was also difficult, as they did not have a host stand, so we just waited by the door. My least favorite part of the evening was when we were trying to pay. They were just holding the handheld machine, so we could not take our time looking at the bill and filling out the tip. The presets were something like 20%, 25%, and 30% tips. I am not opposed to tipping that much if we received above and beyond service, but that felt very pushy for such a nice place.

Located on the SE corner 7th and Main St. in downtown Stillwater, in a nicely remodeled brick building. Inside, the restaurant is smartly decorated in a modern décor mixed with a connection to the past. Between the tee shirts that are for sale, historical pictures and a few artifacts representing rural farm life hang on the walls. In a few areas of the walls, the original brick work is exposed, but masked with a coat of paint. The building's true age shows through the makeup. The chaotic conglomeration of bricks testify that masonry skills and craftsmanship were not required of the builder, when the original structure was erected. Building codes likely not in vogue either. A work of historical beauty. On street parking. And directly behind the restaurant, on the east side, is a parking lot. On a busy weekend parking could be a challenge. Somewhat of a tourist attraction. Souvenirs for the out of towners are prominently on display for purchase. A bar is available to help celebrate yesterday's team victory or numb the pain of defeat. Patio seating is available. Breakfast was perfect. My usual. The picture describes the food. Although the restaurant seems to be a chain, the staff and the food were excellent, so give it a shot. I would absolutely come back.
