I've eaten a LOT of ribs in my day ... NEVER as good as these. Instead of drowning them in their delicious sauces- I preferred to eat them w/out. You can smell the delicious aroma a block away. I WILL be back.

Chicken was great. They actually had white meat chicken breast. I picked green beans as my side. The bad thing is, you go to a BBQ restaurant and expect BBQ sauce. They forgot to give it to me. I called the restaurant to tell the mgr, Connor, and he did NOT offer to do anything till I suggested an incentive to come back and try it again, with sauce this time. So he eventually offered me 2 free sides. I shouldn't have had to ask. He blamed it on the fact that they were a little busy which I had one person in front of me, a couple behind me and another man waiting. Is that busy? And even if they were actually busy, I've been to plenty of BBQ places that are slammed and still remember the sauce.

To be honest, the only meat I've ever tried is the ribs, which is the primary reason I come to Billy Sims. I like to order the Half Back combo, which comes with six ribs and two sides, and a kid's rib dinner, which comes with two ribs, and the option of a fruit cup or chips, and a drink. Both meals come with toast, but they will offer onions, pickles, and pepperoncini peppers with the adult meal. I will split the ribs with my child, so he will have more, and give him one of my sides, too. On this occasion, I ordered the baked potato salad and green beans, but they gave me baked beans; neither one of us likes baked beans, so my child had to do without his side, since he hates baked potato salad. The total cost of the two meals combined was $20.69, including tax. Normally, the staff is friendly, but not on this visit. I guess it must have been a long day.

Haven't had anything that wasn't great. I eat here quite a bit and like their sandwiches. All of them.

I was delighted to find out that our hotel was only 2 miles from this highly acclaimed restaurant. Upon entering, I immediately felt the welcoming atmosphere. We were warmly greeted by the host. The inside is lovely, modern and well laid out. It's perfect for date night or hanging with friends. The host chatted with us, explained the restaurant concept, and answered all my questions. We got the Baked Chèvre for our appetizer. It was layered with flavor and a most delicious and perfect bite for a cold evening. My entree was the Rainbow Trout. The fish had crispy skin and was moist, flaky, and well seasoned. The broad bean mixture served with it was equally delicious. The hubby had Honey Roasted Lavender Chicken which he declared to be one of the best chicken dishes he's ever had. He even raved over the vegetables that came with it. Of course I also had to try dessert. I loved my warm spice cake with a scoop of ice cream and swirls of buttery caramel rum sauce. The cake was so moist and paired perfectly with the sauce and ice cream. Our wait staff was friendly and professional. I forgot to jot down names so I could give them a shout out. Excellent staff is always a part of an excellent dining experience. This was just a delightful experience. The host even gave us the name of some nearby live music venues that we enjoyed later that evening. We will certainly return here the next time we are in OKC. If you are ever in the city, make a reservation and stop by for a fabulous experience.

The Chili Cheese Dog with fresh, raw onions (as foretold by the cheesy appetizer) was dense and flavorful, maybe the best no-frills chili dog in Oklahoma. My picky 13yo ate his first First Fried Apple pie with a slice of vanilla. His eyes got really big, and the plate was clean in an instant. The big treat, though, is the full-quarter slice of Poor Man"s "Pecan" Pie made with oats, not pecans. Served hot with a perfect slice of vanilla ice cream (yes, it's a tray-cut square) with a perfect crust -- This may be my favorite dessert ever, in the whole wide world. Of course the whole wide world needs more innovative classic food stops like this on Route 66. Also, ask to see their fire-surviving copy of Eternal Route 66 by Chuck Williams, an ironic souvenir from a prior iteration of The *eternal* Rock Cafe. If you're a fan of Sally the blue Porsche from the Disney Pixar movie Cars, ask to meet the owner, Dawn. She *might* tell you her story that inspired the sweetheart sports car, and John Lasseter, Pixar's chief creative officer is happy to confirm when visiting with memorabilia gifts that decorate the cafe. Just don't go here…read more I've lived here for 5 years and by far the worst restaurant experience I have had in Oklahoma, and if you see my other reviews I'm pretty forgiving and tend to give spots the benefit of the doubt. This is a place worth an absolute flaming of a review.... But they already wasted enough of my time and energy today so I'll just summarize. No management on scene, no hostess, one server, two bartenders and a restaurant at 50% capacity on Mother's Day at 1 p.m. From walking in to having our orders taken, 30 minutes. 45 minutes later our order of roasted vegetable salad, steak eggs Benedict, and sourdough toast arrived. Salad was very well burnt but my mom was trying to be nice and didn't want to walk out. Eggs Benedict came out with two eggs boiled through, a hollandaise sauce with a sour smell and cold steak. I didn't eat it and no one seemed to notice, had it removed from my bill easy enough, but again zero F's given and no management showed daylight. Wife's toast actually arrived 5 minutes after the 'rest' of the food and the only thing hot and delicious. Toast here is $11, so there's that. No one cares here. From the health violations and poor food safety I saw in the kitchen, the multiple tables I witnessed sending back food to the multiple parties puzzled as to why they weren't being sat or once they were entirely ignored... it was so wildly bad I was embarrassed for everyone else having the same experience. Again, don't go.
