The project was finished more quickly than we anticipated, and we are very pleased with the end result. We would absolutely recommend Lemon Remodeling to anyone looking to enhance their home!

The most important things to me are clear/frequent communication, well organized and high quality - they nailed every aspect. The design recommendations were right on point. Once permits were obtained, the project stays on schedule. Use of Buildertrend let me see the entire schedule so I knew what subs were working and when and I could see frequent photo updates (my renovation was 40 miles from where I was living, so I couldn't be there most days.) I am a super detailed person so I appreciated the fact that Woodcliff readily strives to make the results perfect. The team operates with high integrity and everyone is always easily reachable for any discussion or questions. Renovating can be stressful, but this was overall an enjoyable experience.

Sunny Design and construction did a fantastic job on our kitchen and living room remodel. From…read morestart to finish, the communication with owner Jose was excellent, the quality of all the workers, including subcontractors, was high, and everything was done on time. All workers were very polite and respectful, which we really appreciated since we were living in the house during construction. The process started with the bid, which was done quickly and clearly. Of the four bids we received, Sunny was competitive with others. However, we liked the professionalism and approachability of Jose right off the bat. Through the design process , we were updated regularly on options, and never felt pressured to select specific products. The suppliers recommended were excellent. Demo and construction was quick and very tidy. We lived in our house during construction, and both Sunny and their subcontractors made sure to keep things clean around their work areas. All workers and subs were always on time and showed up when they said they would. There were never long periods where no work was being done, as is often the experience with other contractors. Small things would come up during construction, and questions were asked, but they were transparent about options on how to deal with them, and we quickly moved through them. Often the construction team would be waiting on us to make decisions, instead of the typical reverse! They were again very prompt and communicative with construction. The quality of work was great too, as we would often look at the work during the process. Our kitchen and dining room are beautiful and we are thankful the process was so smooth with Jose and his team at Sunny!

I had an interior home renovation project and i got referred by my designer Shweta Chhajed to Jose…read moreand his team. Jose was very communicative in showing and explaining his current and completed projects. We(designer and me ) visited multiple projects Jose and team had done. My impression of the work turned out to be good, i was also taking estimates from others . Jose seemed to be on the higher side of my expectation but his time lines were good around 6 weeks to complete. The project needed to move 2 walls then full kitchen demo and rebuilding all of the kitchen with re-done electrical, cabinet install with counter top, plumbing, 2 rooms needed closet expansion , fire place removal in living room , re-flooring the whole home including stairs, re-painting the whole home . Jose had many people working on almost a daily basis and the skill these guys poses for the job is very good. However i would say these guys can get very good results working with a designer who has more idea of the final outlook, their work without the designer can seem not very detailed oriented. I would highly recommend them to work more with designers to make their work shine . Learning from a designer and listening to them can take them way ahead, taking feedback from a designer and re-doing things can seem a lot but it would take them to be great professionals brining out their best work. Some of the materials the designer and me and ordered ahead of time , like the kitchen cabinets , the flooring. During renovations we had to move out to an air bnb and got stuck in moving when last minute the mover bailed out, Jose and team saved the day and i am really thankful for the quick help. In the whole renovation there was a lot of back and forth which is typical of projects but i would say Jose was clear in defining the scope of, efforts and almost everything was in writing. The part i was not very happy about is higher change order costs than i expected, we went some back and forth on those things. This led to overall cost bump for me which seemed higher than expected costs for me. Time and execution wise there was a minor hiccup for about 5 days in total but apart from that these guys worked on time. There were some material delays which i am not counting at all on the delayed timeline the project got completed (8-9 weeks). Jose and team still have some electrical work to be done but it's more pending on my carpenter to complete it, then the electrical work for LED's can be completed, Jose is very understanding of this current limitation and will schedule the electrician to work after a month or so on this. Overall i would say these guys have very good skills, clear communication, take very good care and permissions when kids and family is around, they are accommodating . I would recommend them to add more flexibility and learn from a designer to make their work stand out and shine.

They handled the entire project from demo including a small wall, custom vanity, plumbing, addition of pony wall, steam unit installation, and marble fabrication. We purchased our material in Santa Clara and Felix picked everything up for us, and kept our calacatta viola slab in his shop until it was time to fabricate. They did an excellent job with our marble, making sure to use every inch of the slab. I am so impressed w the fabrication of our integrated sinks. They implemented everything I asked for and had great suggestions for design ideas. Fernando also provided a rendering of the space and I added a pic in comparison to the actual space and they look identical! I am so happy that the project came out exactly like we designed. We are having Felix quote more projects, and would highly recommend FL Granite and Marble to any neighbors and friends.

They installed the cabinets that I sourced from another company (although they also manufacture their own cabinets in-house), and everything was installed to spec with the trim pieces cut perfectly to match. For the countertops, I sourced my own quartzite slabs, and F&L handled the rest. They picked up the slabs, created the templates based on my cabinets, fabricated everything, and completed the installation. The templating team also went above and beyond to make sure my expensive slabs were used as efficiently as possible with virtually nothing wasted. They took the time to help me plan the layout so the veining flowed naturally across the countertops and backsplash, which made a huge difference in the final result. As someone who had never gone through this process before, I really appreciated their patience and attention to detail. A special shout-out to Fernando, who was my representative throughout the project. He was professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and incredibly patient with all of my questions and design changes. Jeff is responsive, realistic, and reasonable. He sets proper expectations and he is VERY detail oriented. He helped me foresee potential issues and knew exactly what steps to take and what order to do things in to ensure a meticulously executed finished product. Jeff had excellent tile partners who did beautiful tile work all over my house. His main partner, Parry, who did much of our electrical, plumbing and woodwork, is absolutely wonderful. He is a perfectionist and values doing things the right way (which is not always the fast way). Jeff also helped me find a wallpaper expert, who was incredible. Finally, while I gave Jeff what I consider a lot of money (!), he gave back in many ways, not nit-picking me for charges for extra work here or there. I am grateful for that, so thank you Jeff.

He said a permit for the work was not really mandatory, so I believed him. I hired him to remodel my master and guest bathrooms and he had a very young, unexperienced guy to actually do the electrical wiring for a new cam light in my guest bathroom who did a bunch of wiring in my attic! I told Jeff about my concerns because I live in a townhouse with other homes attached and was concerned about the safety. There are numerous other reasons why this man should not be doing contractor work, including lying about the cost of the materials after I had already paid him thousands of dollars for those materials. Needless to say, I am meeting with other reputable companies to finish the job.

My Project Manager, Chris Gard is the best. Even after a design is completed there are always things that come up during construction. Chris kept me posted on a daily basis and was always available to answer my questions. Because I am only 4'11" I had a lot things lowered and Chris frequently called me over to the ADU to determine where I would like certain things. He is very knowledgeable and could answer all my questions ( I ask a lot of questions) and did so willingly, respectfully and kindly. Because of COVID, I was naturally home a lot and the ADU was the main focus for me and the entire neighborhood. Besides me, he had to deal with a very curious neighborhood. When he wasn't on site, I could always text him or call him and he always got back to me. The only bad news now is that everyone in the neighborhood wants a tour and I am still living out of boxes! During these hard times a lot of personal issues came up for me and in addition to managing the construction, Chris became a trusted advisor and friend. Amy Moody
