My MacBook's battery died completely. The local Apple store in University Village didn't have any appointments open for at least a week. This place had appointments open all day. I decided to take my laptop here. The service fee was ~$50 non-refundable but they said it would go towards the cost of parts. Turned out, my laptop was still under warranty so the parts were free. I dropped off my laptop Sunday afternoon and it was done by Monday afternoon. Not only did they replace my battery but my trackpad and keyboard at no extra cost. Incredible turn-around time. Perhaps a bit pricey for the service but worth it to me to have my laptop back in a day. I'm sure Apple would've taken a week if not more to fix it, plus the time to get an appointment. Jesper and his team are amazing!! I spilled tea on my Macbook Pro 16 2022 and they were able to fix it for $498!! When I first spilled on my macbook, I went to the Apple store and they said it was a flat rate of $1490 for any liquid damages. They referred me to GoEBITS, which is the only Apple certified shop in Seattle with actual Apple parts. I brought it in on Wednesday evening, their technician was confident they could fix it without having to replace the logic board and by Monday morning it was already fixed, saving me $1000 that I would've spent. TL;DR if you're screen won't display, go to Apple it's like $200+ cheaper. My screen stopped working about a month ago. I got an estimate from Apple (for FREE) of how much it was going to cost. They didn't know if it was the board or the display, but it was going to be the same either way. I decided to try here because it might've been cheaper. It cost $53 for them to look at my computer and I wish I hadn't done that knowing what I know now. Let me pay it forward to you and say if you have a 2017 13" MacBook Pro, GO TO APPLE IF YOU NEED A NEW SCREEN IT WILL BE MORE THAN $200 CHEAPER. I paid $53 for them to take my computer apart and plug it in to a screen (I couldn't do this at home because I don't have an adapter or screen). When I went to Apple they couldn't get it to display either, but go ebits claims plugging it into a screen worked. I don't know who was right. Either way, they wanted $700 for this, which I would not do since I knew apples estimate was in the mid $400 range. Still not fun, but less of a scam. Thus, when I got the call that it was going to be $700 and I declined I said "no I'll come pick it up" and the other person on the line said that was fine and hung up quickly. I showed up ~20 minutes later and they wouldn't give me the computer because it was taken apart. Why didn't they tell me this over the phone?? When I was waiting to get my computer (both times) I found the employees to be fairly impatient with the customer on the phone. Just an overall really disappointing experience. I found way more compassion and friendliness from the people at the Apple store about my situation. Just go there if you can wait. UPDATE: they also told me the fix would take 2-3 weeks and Apple's would take 4-6 weeks. Apple is getting mine back in 3 days... just go to Apple. read more

I bought this laptop at the Apple Store at U Village in Seattle, and had it diagnosed at the Calgary store, who told me it would be $1300 to fix what they said was a spill onto the laptop. I then took it to a private technician, who looked at it and said there wasn't evidence of any liquid, but they didn't know what would fix the laptop to restart it. It sat as a dark screen for several months, then I grabbed it to take to Seattle so I could take it to Seattle to pull data from it, and recycle it somehow. Luckily I met Tony at GoEBITS, who restored the MacBook Air, installed a new battery, and ran a diagnosis for $59 (that they then applied to the battery cost.) Then he spent his time explaining to me what had happened. This is my first time using GoEBITS And I was very impressed, from the moment I walked in the door they listened very carefully and explained my options for repairing my 2015 MacBook Pro. I had a swollen battery that was deforming the case and eventually I suppose battery could have exploded or the very least stopped the computer from working. I was quoted a price for labor and parts and essentially what I got back was a new bottom case including the trackpad, keyboard,and new battery. They are an authorized apple repair facility and only use genuine Apple parts. I would recommend them highly if you have computer hardware issues. This place is top notch. My 1-year-old work laptop (MacBook Pro 2018) had a stuck spacebar, and I found GoEBITS via the Apple website when I clicked through to make a repair appointment somewhere nearby, figuring I'd have to wait a couple days to take it to the Apple Store. There was an "appointment" available at GoEBITS within 20 min, so I booked it and high tailed it up there. The folks I spoke to were all clear, courteous, and knowledgeable. They have seen it all. I had to sign an acknowledgement about deductibles even though I have AppleCare+ and I was pretty sure the keyboard should be covered under the keyboard replacement program. They were impressed I had my own backups. Within a couple days I heard back (by phone and email) that the keyboard repair was done, but followup diagnostics found a problem with the logic board, so it was going to take a couple more days. I was frustrated but understanding. Finally I got word that they were done (exactly 1 week after I initially brought the computer in - it's so fast because they do the repairs in-house). Everything was under warranty and/or covered by AppleCare+ so I paid $0. I picked it up the next morning and had to upgrade and restore everything... I had already upgraded to Catalina so my backup wouldn't restore to the High Sierra they put on it until I upgraded to Catalina again... a few days later, everything is up and running and great, and I go to figure out how to get my backups re-started. And, dear reader, do you know what I found? I found that my SSD had 1.15 TB free (of 2 TB total). I only had a 1 TB hard drive when I took it in for repair. Winning. Thank you, GoEBITS, you are the best ever, and I hope I never need your services again, but if I do, I will be back. read more

I unfortunately had an iPhone 11 screen break and MacBook Pro screen break within the same week, and these guys SAVED me (devices weren't under apple care warranty either). My iPhone 11 screen replacement cost the same or less here than any other third party repair shop, and they give you real apple product so you don't get screwed over and break it again (but more easily). He also fixed it within the same day (within 2 hours) even though I was a walk in. My MacBook display issue was more serious and I had a couple more minor issues (that had needed resolving for a while): touchbar would not light up, and usb-c port damaged. I hadn't dropped my computer or been reckless, it just ended up a black screen with lines going down and once again, I returned to these guys. At first, I was prepared for repair costs to be around $1000 and was considering buying a new laptop all together. But Jasper, the owner remembered when I came in about my phone screen and took the time to talk with the technician and realized my 2018 MacBook Pro issue with the Touch Bar was very common and actually covered under a program. I ended up getting a brand new keyboard (battery, Touch Bar, mouse pad, etc) for free. This made my $1100 repair about 700 after tax, and I got a basically brand new computer out of it because nearly every feature was replaced. My laptop screen unexpectedly gave out on me on Wednesday, May 29th. I called Apple to schedule a repair appointment and they redirected me to GoEBITS. Upon my arrival, I was helped instantly. I left my laptop for them to run diagnostic tests, which costed me $50. A day later, they called me with an estimate for the repair if I chose to do business with them. I asked for some time to think about it because the repair was pretty expensive (roughly $650). They were very understanding and did not make me feel pressured into doing business with them. The next day, I decided to look at other options so I told them I would not be having my laptop repaired here. I went in to pick up my laptop and Jasper, the guys who helped me, told me he could give me a discount which took the price down to roughly $550? It was a really good deal and I really appreciated the offer. He told me he understood what it's like to be a college student and he felt bad that I was going through this so he wanted to try his best to reduce the price as much as he could. Initially, I was shocked because didn't expect this kindness from a place affiliated with Apple. Apple has never done something like this so I didn't expect it from them. Despite the offer, I decided to keep looking for other options. Jasper then asked me if I had a laptop to use while I looked for repair options. I told him I was just borrowing my friend's. He then offered to lend me one of his laptops for free. At this point, I was already extremely grateful for them reducing the repair costs and this offer just made me even more grateful. To top it all off, before I left, Jasper told me that if I am unable to find a place, to come back to them and he will still give me the same discount. I was so touched. Usually I feel pressured to do business with certain companies/places because of their customer service but here, they NEVER made me feel I had to do business with them. They made me feel genuinely appreciated as a customer and as a person. They understood my financial background and accommodated to it. I have always gone to Apple for repairs and such but after this experience, I would recommend them over Apple. Their customer service is PHENOMENAL! read more

Jesper, who I believe is the eBits owner, then quoted me $130. I told him about Ubreak's price match offer, and he agreed to throw in a free phone case and tempered glass to keep my business.
