I cannot even begin to emphasize how good the food is here! The absolute best indian food i've ever had! I went during the weekend buffet and the variety and authentic indian flavors are unmatched. such good food for such a good price!! the workers here are also very friendly and make sure you're well taken care of. the atmosphere here is also great!! I will definitely be back! 12/10 would definitely recommend!!

Excellent spot for lunch. Fridays and weekends they have a buffet. We went on a Wednesday and got the plate with a little of everything which ended up tasting great!

We drove from Massachusetts to try out this place. We have heard about their buffet but it's only offered on Sundays. We got a dosa to share and a non-veg thaali each. The dishes in the thaali are chefs selection, but it's a great option if you want to try a bunch of different things. The food was decently spiced, something you don't get too often in the Boston area. The chai was also very well done, withe less masala. Overall, great option for good South Indian food. You'll also get a lot of leftovers- definitely bang for the buck! Will definitely be back!

This is my first plate. There are 10 different items on this plate alone!

I'm in love. This place is fabulous. It was wide open, for plenty of room to move around. Clean, warm atmosphere. Huge selection of items to try and only $20 per person. Plus, warm welcome from a woman to explain the layout. For so cheap, I was worried the food would be limited or be low quality. Nope in every way possible. I got to try a little bit of everything. Thinking about 20+ items and still didn't try it all (by far). So many things that were amazing and I don't even know what they were! The flavors of the spices in the food was like a party in my mouth. Plus, everything was fresh and well stocked. They provide you bottled water but, you can order a drink if you like. I got my favorite, a mango lasse. Which I highly recommend. It was a little thicker than usual but, again, flavor. Wow. Also, they have little brown balls soaked in some kind of syrup as a dessert item. They don't look great but, please, try them. You won't regret it. The only tips I give to people looking for a wonderful buffet is, 1) their buffet is only on the weekends, 11am-3pm. 2) Go around 12:15, it started to fill up as we were leaving at 1:30. 3) If you're not great with spicy, be careful. It's closer to authentic Indian which has quite a kick. I love spicy but, my husband doesn't. Although, there were a few items that he enjoyed very much. The paneer tikka marsala is delicious and much more mild than other dishes. Over all, 6/5 stars. Highly recommend to anyone searching to adventure outta their comfort zone and try new Indian dishes. Or heck, just love Indian food! We're so going back.

Proof they have no license to serve food as of Saturday July 29!

Zero stars. No license to serve food. Trying to add a photo of the RI Dept of Health website that they're license has expired. Verified Saturday July 29, 2023. The DOH knows they are serving food with an expired license because I told them. All these good reviews-I got sick.

This was my first Indian restaurant in the US. Went on the first week of my arrival. .n to my surprise it did meet my expectations then.. good quality, good taste n satisfying ambience. Mango lassi was enjoyable, but I hope the cinnamon becomes an optional ingredient. Recommend Indians to visit this : yes definitely Service : 4/5

Godavari buffet is always good but the buffet at Rhode Island was exceptional. There were plenty of vegetarian and meat options and all of them tasted great. If I have one feedback its just that the chicken biriyani tasted/smelt like it was not too fresh. I took off one star for that. My favorite was the chaat corner!

I was then greeted by the chef/owner and I asked If lunch was being served since it was 12:15 He answered yes and asked if I wanted to sit in the dining room. I really didn't want to disturb the settings for just myself so I opted to sit at a high top in the lounge. So I was offered 2 specials which consisted of a sirloin steak or a fish filet. I opted for the steak and I asked for a menu also Just to see the offerings (I posted them) So talking to the customers at another table they were very nice to offer dining recommendations on future visits. They're regulars as 1 might have guessed. My steak was pan seared and topped with a garlic sauce and a fried egg along with rice and fresh fried potatoes. Steak was cooked to medium as I requested It was a 6 to 8oz portion tender for the most part and I found the garlic sauce a bit salty. May try to come back to check out their buffet on weekends. Although I asked the regulars on the buffet situation and he referred me to another place for some reason.

There was a larger party that came for the last part of our meal who were on the louder side and let their children run around the restaurant. While not Kinnera's fault it did lead to a lease than pleasant meal. For dinner we had the mango lassi, onion pakora, chicken korma, and paneer masala. I always appreciate when restaurants bring out papadums and chutneys as well which Kinnera did. However, I wasn't a huge fan of the pakora. I didn't get a lot of onion flavor in them and found the dish to be very dry. A sauce would have been a welcome addition. My chicken in the korma was cooked very well as it was nice and tender. For $16 the portions were huge and the meal comes with plenty of rice. I wasn't as impressed with my korma sauce though as I'm used to a creamier base. My significant other said there wasn't a lot of paneer in his masala either. Our service was standard but pleasant. The waiters didn't come over as we were eating and took a while to ask if we wanted the bill. However, they were prompt once we said we were ready for the check. I love Indian food and have had it around the world but I am glad this place is up and running. One day I'd like to try the lunch buffet.

The venue itself felt polished and high-end from the moment we walked in. The meats were definitely the highlight of the evening -- top-tier cuts, well-seasoned, tender, and served fresh off the skewers with incredible flavor. Every selection we tried was juicy, flavorful, and cooked beautifully. You can tell quality is a priority here. The salad bar had a nice variety overall, but since our reservation was at 8 PM for a party of four and the restaurant closed at 9 PM, some items were no longer fully stocked by the time we arrived. Service was also a little slower toward the end of the evening, which seemed understandable given the late reservation and closing time approaching. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant, but I'd strongly suggest booking an earlier reservation to fully enjoy the entire experience, especially the salad bar and full pace of service. Even with that, the food quality, upscale atmosphere, and outstanding meat selections still made for a very enjoyable dining experience.

Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. We were seated by the bar and began with the salad bar. Even with our table marker on green, the service was very slow and inconsistent -- it took roughly 10 minutes between each plate, despite being right next to the grill. For meats, we only received: * Picanha * Bacon-wrapped steak * Bacon-wrapped chicken * Chicken leg * Parmesan pork * Sausage We never received beef ribs, bone-in ribeye, or most of the specialty items advertised in the full churrasco. We requested these multiple times to both the gaucho and our server, but they never arrived. Lamb chops finally showed up over an hour later, long after we were already full. Most of the cuts were dry. Our server, Aiden, was friendly and did his best, but my girlfriend never received her drink, asked for another side of mash which we never got . At that point, we had to downgrade our meal since so many items were missing. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing Brazilian steakhouse experiences we've had. Many of the promised cuts of meat were never offered, and the service left the full churrasco feeling incomplete and frustrating.
