This place is so good it was a surprise. I don't mean I was expecting it to be bad. I'm saying that my taste buds were surprised because it has been years since they had such a fantastic experience. I don't know anyone there, but I want to advertise for this place as much as possible because I want them to be open and successful for years and years to come. Food is a big part of my life. My husband and I had a spectacular meal here tonight! It was our first time and we were pleasantly surprised. I had the shrimp korma (hot) which was perfectly spiced and creamy. Needed to find a place with Gluten and Dairy Free options, so this place popped up on my search. In a small plaza with decent parking on Mendon Road. We were pretty much the only ones there for most of night. Decor is clean and welcoming with a huge projection of Bollywood movies on the wall. If there were any sort of crowd at all, I think the movies would've been a hit but it was a slow night. Service was very warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, there was a booboo on the menu stating that they had gluten free breads but it was in error so my friend couldn't order any. =( I had free range but she needed both gluten and dairy free option - our waitress was very sweet and asked the chef to tell us what could be done to cater her needs. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and garlic naan and she ended up with the mango chicken. Masala was good, the typical flavors you would find in any masala - the chicken wasn't as tender as I was hoping but still good. The garlic naan was really tasty - nice garlicky flavor and crispy crust. My friend said hers was fine as well. I ordered some vegetable samosas to go - these were on the larger side but reheated nicely and came with really good dipping sauces, one sweet and one refreshing. Overall score 3.75/5 Let's start the review off by me disclaiming that as an Indian who eats 99% of his Indian meals cooked at home, I am very tough on indian restaurants. Food: 4/5 - given my above disclaimer this means a lot. Food was very good and came hot and fresh from the kitchen. The entrees were creamy and the aloo chaat was an interesting spin on a classic appetizer as it cut out the normal fried sev and puri bits normally found in chaat and opted my a more simple fresh potatoes and chick peas. We ordered the food medium spicy and definitely made a mistake and should have ordered it more spicy, our food did not have enough kick (our fault though). The thing though is that the food is overpriced, the portion sizes are good in the sense that you will be full, but will kinda wonder how you ended up spending so much. Finally there aren't as many vegetarian options that I'd like to see. There's outdoor seating if you are into that but not much of a view of anything. There's a bar which I feel is there to attract a wide variety of patrons but feels unnecessary/unfortunate that maybe it's there due to the location of where it is. The rest of the interior is uninspired, nothing bad, it's very clean at the very least. Lastly I felt the large projection of random Indian movies unnecessary and distracting. Focus on the food hollywood grill, it's definitely your strong suit! read more

We come here regularly and the food is excellent every time. We ask for assistance on what we may like and everything they suggest is fantastic. The people are so sweet and wonderful. If you like real Indian food, this is the place to try. We go here almost weekly. The chicken korma and lamb saag are our favorites. The naan bread is also exceptional. The service is always over the top great. If you are ever in Cumberland, stop in and have some korma and a tall Taj Majal beer. You will not be disappointed. read more

My nephew was working in the area, and we met at the Bollywood Grill when I visited from Colorado. He was RAVENOUS and, no kidding, he ordered two appetizers, three entrees and naan for the two of us. The good thing about ordering all that food is that we learned EVERYTHING is delicious. I sampled everything and my nephew did justice to the lavish meal. I sincerely hope that the Bollywood Grill gets customers from Boston and New York. So close to giving a 5 but there were a few things that could be better, place was full when we arrived so we sat at the bar, which had no bartender. We were seated and ordered our food and drinks, the food came and still no drinks, when we asked she was so apologetic, numerous times, it wasn't a big deal but enough to knock one star off. So I found this restaurant here on yelp, and decided to give them a try. First off it's in a strip mall, but once you walk inside, you are transformed into indian culture, smells, sights and music. The couple of people who said it was bland must have gone on a bad night, or something, because the flavor and spice was absolutely delicious. The Lamb vindalo was full of lamb chunks and was loaded with flavor and spicyness. The rice that accompanied it was eh okay, not bad, but nothing great. The naan was warm, and not greasy, just the right amount of ghee on it. My husband got the Goat Biryani because he was afraid of the vindalo being to spicy and said the Biryani had a nice spice too it with out too much heat, and it was such a large size order he had enough for lunch the next day and then some. All in all, this place has just ok Indian food. The lamb samosas we had for an appetizer were tasty. We also got the tomato soup which had the potential to be really yummy but there was so much pepper in, like someone dumped half of the pepper shaker in - I wouldn't suggest getting this soup. The chicken tikka was yummy as was the chicken curry and naan. I got a free mango lassi with the yelp promotion going on. With that said, Flavours is more expensive than other Indian restaurants I have been to. Went with family recently, first time visiting. Friday night 6-7 PM, and I think there was only one other party there, weird since it's actually a fairly large place. Roomy and clean, but I noticed not only were few people there, when some additional parties finally came in, there were no Indian customers, which is in my experience not usually a good sign. However, we ordered a bunch of different things, and the food was very good. Naan not included with meal, and like most items on the menu, runs on the expensive side. Other reviewers have mentioned the prices, and this could be partly why the place seemed deserted? Have to say the Tandoori Salmon was outstanding both in the seasoning and the moistness/tenderness of the filet. Overall, food very solid if a bit expensive. And, the service was good. Here are my only two comments for the restaurant; first, for westerners, it's really helpful for menus to list an English description for each dish, as we didn't know what a lot of them actually were. And dish names do vary among different Indian restaurants, so it's hard to know what variation of a dish you might be looking at on a menu. Secondly, when it was time to pay the server brought over a tablet/point of sale system and asked for my name and phone number. This is not something I wanted to be asked for when I visit a restaurant. Worse, I had to handle the device and enter in my tip amount directly in front of the server, which I also really dislike. read more

There are 2 dining rooms, one primarily servicing the buffet lunch offerings, the other contained the bar and catered to the menu service. We ordered off the menu and shared four dishes on this visit: kadahi paneer, lamb vindaloo, chicken balti, and Goan fish curry. All were well-executed and tasty, but the standouts imo were the Goan fish curry (delicate and creamy, a nice counterpoint to the spicier dishes and complemented the white fish well) and the chicken balti (a drier sauce with bold flavors and big chunks of chicken, peppers, and onions). The naan was good though a little on the oily side; the basmati rice was serviceable and not too floral in aroma which I appreciated. It took a little while longer to receive our food, but once we did I understood why: this was no 'fast food; rinse and repeat' type of deal. I only had a lunch there so keep that in mind. Yes, I agree. Food is good. But, it wasn't $12.99 (plus tax and tip, I paid about $16) good. That's the only reason I give three stars. They only had chicken and vegetarian entrees. For that price I would expect more variety of meat options. They have crossed out $9.99 price in their take out menu and I really think they should have sticked to that price point. Please, let me know when they lower their price to what it used to be.
