    Palak Paneer

I really enjoyed my evening at the Curry House! Conveniently located just off of 495- and offering a drive-through- the Curry House offers good and convenient Indian food. We dined inside; there's one dining room and plenty of square tables and chairs (no booths or anything like that). It was a little cold inside, but they were trying to offset that with a space heater. I enjoyed my mango lassi, as did my dining companions, half of whom were trying Indian for the first time! They had a good experience; they liked their palak paneer and tandoori chicken kebab (mild, of course). I also enjoyed the palak paneer, although it was a tad soupy. Tasted great, though. The naan was also a standout, it's hard to mess up naan but I thought theirs was the perfect, soft texture. I tried the tandoori chicken and it was quite tasty. My friend said his chicken biryani was good, too. Our food came quickly, although there was a slight snafu with ordering; we asked for a couple more minutes with the menu when the waiter first came by for our order, and then he never came back! A different waiter ended up serving us after a while. But no biggie, more time to spend with my compatriots!

The Curry House has its own parking lot so you do not need to worry about parking. There is also a drive through window. I came here on a Sunday afternoon. There were a few tables occupied but it wasn't too busy. When we sat down, the waiter informed us about the lunch combo. The lunch combo was $11.95+tax and definitely worth it. You choose either meat or vegetarian. We chose the meat lunch combo and got 3 different types of chicken curries with rice, naan, samosa, and tandoori chicken. The portions were generous and very filling. I think at some point of time there was a lunch buffet, but now the lunch combo is prepared by the waiter and they bring it to your table. You can also order a la carte items off the menu as well. The food was really tasty and I would definitely come back.

Nothing but great things to say about The Curry House. Food is fresh and authentic. I only had the chance to try two items...the chicken saag and lamb samosa, both were YUMMY! If you've never tried chicken saag give it a try. Such a delicious blend of creamy spinach with spices and tender pieces of chicken. Service was on point. I sat at the bar and had multiple servers checking in on me. I also got to meet the owner. She is awesome! I asked for a spicy sauce for my food and she whipped up something nice and spicy, The inside is nice and spacious. Smaller bar area but plenty of other seating options. They even have a drive through for to-go orders. Can't wait to return for some more delicious Indian food!

    This was not worth $16.00.

Very disappointed. I have been getting the lunch combo for several years and each time the portions have gone down, while the cost has gone up. Yesterday's meal was $16.50 for a lunch special and I got one small piece of chicken. I will not be going back for this meal. Very disappointed as food does taste good but this is not worth the money.

Lunch special: chicken masala, tandoori, curry plus two diff types of naan, samosa and coconut dessert

We came here on a Saturday for their lunch specials, take out only. It's not listed on their menu but they basically have two kinds: non-vegetarian and vegetarian. We bought the non-vegetarian which is a mix of rice and chicken breast in tandoori, curry, and tikka masala, so you get a mix of a little bit of everything. In addition, there were garlic and regular nann, plus coconut rice pudding all for $10!! For the amount of food and variety, I'd say this is the best value I've seen around Massachusetts for an South Asian restaurant. The food was great and I'd prefer if they used chicken thigh or drumsticks instead and make the naan more soft (personal preference). But overall, I'd definitely order from here again! Service was also excellent. They have a parking lot and drive through so easy for contactless take outs.

Very oily, and the chicken with chewy not my favorite. The flavor was decent for the tikka masala.

The menu is allergy-friendly, with dishes clearly labeled with allergens and there were so many DF options. I ordered the veggie samosa, which I forgot to request "mild," so it was a tad spicy for my palate. It was deliciously/expertly spiced nonetheless, and I ate the whole thing...nose running. ;-) If you're a spice wimp like me, just remember to ask for it mild. Also highly recommend the watermelon non-alcoholic drink that was like a mojito with fresh mint! Great, friendly service...even at 4:19...when they were almost closed, at the end of a long shift. She came back when we were ready to order. We ordered two appetizers, three meals, and three cocktails. Apparently they don't know how to make an old fashioned according to the waitress. She never brought us any water. We received our apps fairly quickly (which were delicious). About halfway through the apps, one meal arrived. (Meals were delivered my kitchen staff.) Still no cocktails or water. About 15 minutes later, another meal arrived. We ended up asking the bus boy for a glass of water. Another 15 minutes go by and the third meal was finally delivered. We called the waitress over and had to ask for the cocktails we ordered when we arrived. She went over to the bar and made them herself. Again, the food is good but, we won't be back.

To get a baseline of whether the place is good, I usually order Chicken Tikka Masala - if you mess that up, I can't trust anything else. You can get white basmati rice on the side for only $1.99 more, but I wanted garlic naan which was $4.99. We ordered on the phone and were told 20 minutes. They do have a dining room inside, but the tables are a bit awkward since the bench is too far from the table (it discouraged us from eating there). We arrived 20 minutes later, and the food was ready just in time. It stayed warm on the ride home and was the perfect eating temperature after 15 minutes when we actually got around to eating it. I noticed that the curry was a bit greasy, but it's easy to move it out of the way. The container looked small (small round black to go container), but it did bring a lot. My friend and I agreed that the onions could have been chopped a little smaller, or cooked for a little longer to make them soft rather than crunchy. The flavors were perfect. We picked mild for our spice level, but regret not going up to medium because it was not spicy at all. The naan could have used a little more garlic but it was still very good as it was soft and buttery. I will definitely be coming back to try other items. They have plenty of parking, and their staff is kind.

I would have given 5 stars were it not for the finish which was an Indian staple dessert (rice pudding) called Kheer. Yuck-very poorly made, lousy ingredients. (A good Kheer is luscious and creamy white---this was grey and tasted totally artificial) I would go back in an instant!

I have to make sure to come on an empty stomach because the food is so delicious and filling (and the menu has a great variety so I always find myself trying different foods). The menu is varied and changes slightly daily. It is a bit of a lowkey spot, and has the nicest owners! They are so accommodating, nice, and helpful. Every time I have come here I am met with gracious hospitality. The pani puri is a classic - note that it is served with peas rather than potato. But it's still delicious, it has a tasty tomato daal flavor that pairs well with the pani puri water and onions. The pani puri was great and I can be obnoxious about how I like my pani puri. The paneer tikka hot dogs are also a MUST TRY!! They are so good and flavorful, especially nice and hot. Not too much cheese and a nice, satisfying, soft bread pull. We also wanted to try the mirchi bhaji (fried pepper with toppings like roasted peanuts and chopped red onion) so they kindly gave us one. Finally had the delicious Gadbad ice cream, which I always make sure to get. It is ice cream with fruits and nuts and makes for the perfect finish to your meal.

I'm not even sure How I can describe how terrible this dining experience was. Being a fan of South…read moreIndian food, although not being from the South Indian states, is what led me to this place And I also love to support local businesses. I don't even think I could call this a legit business. Seems more like a bootleg operation. The owner, while very nice, has no clue how to run a restaurant. This is essentially a converted office and will be difficult to find. The entrance is in the back. There was no attempt made to renovate the interior so that it could have any kind of semblance of a true dining experience or even a fast food establishment. The menu is not printed. Rather it is on the owners WhatsApp messages. Refer to picture which I had to take in order to review the menu at the behest of the owner. Noted that there is a lack of pricing unless you ask him directly what things cost. Also there are no pictures of the menu or any description of the size. What we ended consuming were masala doses which came with a coconut poppy seed chutney as well as Idli. The Idlis themselves were okay. However they also came with sambar which is the traditional South Indian soup. This soup was something I normally look forward to and one of the main reasons I come to South Indian restaurants. In a word it was terrible. It's pre-made which I don't necessarily have a problem with however the ingredients are lacking. It has no flavor and is very thin. It also came with a ton of cilantro which I'd asked if they could make without but apparently because it is pre-made there is no way to avoid this. Regardless, the quality of the actual soup was bad. In fact we threw a bowl of it away because none of us enjoyed it. The dosa itself was actually not bad however it was severely underfilled. Usually after eating one of those I have no room for anything else because it's filled with the lovely stuffing of potato onion and peas. This had no peas and was severely underfilled. This is a very bare-boned operation. And the service is reflective of that. There is one bathroom and it is labeled employees only. When we were served we did not get any cutlery and had to request it on multiple times. I got a paper towel along with a spoon. Nothing else. The other two diners got a fork and a spoon as well as a paper towel. The paper towel was a half ply. And because there were three of us they gave us three half plies of paper towel. I wish I could make up this story but it is really quite ridiculous. On top of that the dining table itself which I picked was filthy. I asked the owner to wipe it off and he obliged but that is completely unacceptable in a dining establishment which was not crowded at all. This is something that should be maintained. Also we did not get any water from the tap. It wasn't even offered. If one wants to consume water, you would have to buy a bottle from them. Again, very bizarre and I suspect there's something wrong with their drinking water if they're not able to even offer tap water. Parking is in the back and that is free. I'm not sure how long this establishment will be around but I wouldn't be surprised if they went out of business, soon.
