Not a date night but definitely a large party kind of spot. Came for Mother's Day since my mom wanted something comfortable and a spot we've been before, years ago. On Mother's Day weekend, selections were full and a great variety with plenty of swaps and refill. Very packed and a line leading outside. This is the most people I've seen ever inside. There's 8 rows of hot lamps and food with a back section of fresh, pick your own ingredients, lo mein hibachi grill that is cooked right in front of you. Don't forget to tip the cook! They have sauces to pick including spicy, hibachi sauce, soy sauce, garlic sauce and teriyaki. I think, especially on packed days, staff should be more on top of their dishes and watchful that parents check-in on their kids since some items were mixing. Also wanted more replacement of spoons and pinches since they had residue of food mixing old foods and new dishes of food~ Overall a standard place with good flavors. Went to lunch at the Hibachi Buffet. I was a little surprised at how big the buffet was, and how many choices there were. There is also a hibachi section where you can choose the meats, vegetables, and rice and noodles. Your selections are put on the grill and you get a choice of what sauce you would like. Unfortunately, we ran out of appetite before we could taste everything at the buffet The only thing we tried that was not good was the peel and eat shrimp The desserts were the usual scen at Chinese buffets. The exception was that there was a large cabinet with scoop yourself ice cream. The service was wonderful. All the used dishes were removed promptly. You need to give it a try as they offer various selections to choose from - Chinese dishes, Japanese sushi, salad, Western dishes, and stir fry. We did not have a great experience at this spot. I was excited to check it out, but it didn't live up to expectations. I will note the price is incredibly reasonable. We tried it out since my husband loves Mongolian BBQ and this was the closest in the area I could find. The live grill area was out of stock of almost everything and they don't add the sauce until the end so everything was pretty flavorless. Went last night, the food was dismal. Monday may have been a bad choice as nothing seemed fresh, Food was bland, the Clams were yellow, the sushi which consisted of mostly rice with small bits of edible filling. The shellfish mostly overcooked and rubbery, many choices fried and somewhat oily. The hot and sour soup without distinction. Limited fruit choices included to basic melon, pineapple, orange slices and canned peaches, lichee and mandarines. The meat slab completely hard and difficult to cut, basically blah food with no outstanding flavor. We chose to come because we were craving some Chinese buffet. The reviews online weren't attractive but since this is the only big buffet around the area we decided to give it a go with pretty low expectations. We came pretty late at around 8 pm (they close at 10) on MLK day. There was a sign that said that even if it was a Monday, they'll be charging a holiday price. It's not that much of a difference: regular $15.99, weekends/holidays $16.99. When we went inside there was someone to attend to us immediately and we got our table right away. The interior is very dark. There were very little lights on inside except for the warmer lights for the food counters. We were sat by the windows and requested to sit somewhere away from the big glass windows because it was very cold outside. They happily obliged and told us we can sit pretty much anywhere, which was still cold but it worked. I started with the grill. There wasn't much options but they were decent. The proteins were chicken, beef, imitation crab, shrimp, and there were a bit of vegetables if you choose not to eat fish or meats. I'll say that if you have allergies or strict dietary restrictions, do not go to the grill area. The grill cross-contaminate and they cook everything in one spot. Multiple people's dishes at once. There were options for sauce like teriyaki sauce, garlic, etc. I left it to the cook to choose my sauces and mine tasted decent. 8/10 I got a spicy tuna sushi and some other proteins like salmon. I saw that they were still refilling the sushi bar at that hour. The sushi was bland and the rice was cold. The salmon had no taste, just a lot of salt. I found that majority of the food was heavily salted but had very little flavour, which indicates that they are not fresh. I am giving a fair rate of 5/10 for the hot foods because it was an hour before closing and they might have had only the leftovers left on the counters, but the sushi was a solid 2/10 because they just did not have any taste and it was cold. The ice cream was also pretty much out so I didn't get to taste as much. It was pretty hard to get them out of the buckets. I wish it was replaced more regularly. The ice cream counter smelled like strong bleach though for some reason. The whole time we were dining, the servers were timely in taking our plates away and served us with a smile. Water was served quickly. Everyone was pleasant. By the time we wanted to pay, they didn't ask for a tip at the counter so we gave them cash directly. 10/10 service. The bathrooms were very clean, it smelled like bleach from the door to the stalls, and the floors looked like they were recently mopped. Just a tip, maybe go light on the bleach because the bleach smell was very strong. Otherwise very clean and tidy. Overall if I came back it would be for the grill and service. read more

Available on their dinner buffet is prime choice ribeye steak. For those individuals that are vegetarian there is a large salad buffet with fresh vegetables, many toppings and a wide variety of dressings including a special ranch dressing that is made fresh daily. If you're looking for sushi, Hibachi Grill offers daily a sushi bar with a selection of freshly prepared sushi. I tried three varieties and they were below average. None of them had a name tag, so you really don't know what type of sushi you are eating. Not a place for sushi lovers... ​They also have several kid friendly food items, such as pizza, mashed potatoes and homemade yeast rolls. The dessert buffet is filled with a wide variety of fresh fruit, pastries and cookies. In addition to the dessert bar, is a large ice cream buffet with 8 different flavors to choose from. These ones you scoop yourself with an ice cream scoop....not single serve portions like other places. Wasn't bad but wasn't great, some of the foods tasted a little rubbery especially seafood wise, the crispy chicken finger I got was mushy on the inside and looked under cooked. Most of the other foods were really good. Crawfish, most deserts, Honey Chicken, Lo mein, and Crab Rangoon were pretty amazand service was good but the sodas were warm. I hadn't been for a couple of years. I've gone in occasionally to get their crab ragoon from takeout. Apparently, that is the best thing on the buffet. While it seemed to be well attended by the employees, the fried chicken dishes were less than optimum. More like dried, fried batter...not much chicken to speak of. I feel like this place has been here all my life! Ever since elementary school I've been coming here loading my plate. This buffet has a variety of food for an extremely cheap price. It taste like the chicken is from a package and frozen now which is disappointing. The honey chicken is the best one there. The crab rangoons are also pretty good but tiny. One of the nice parts about this buffet is they have a desert and ice cream section which always a plus. My boyfriend and I decided to grab an easy/quick dinner while out running errands yesterday evening... Neither of us had been to a Chinese buffet in a long time and thought it might be fun to have some variety - and I love the idea of the cook-while-you-wait hibachi stir fry... But no. Just no. In fact, so much 'NO' that while reading someone else's fairly recent GLOWING and impeccable 5-star review, I simply have to assume that it was completely written by A.I. and posted by this person just so they can pat themselves on the back for blindly supporting a local business, regardless of quality. That, or their bar is set so low that they simply don't know what decent food/service even is. But I digress... We arrived and just stood there unsure if we should seat ourselves... finally someone came and led us to our seats and took our drink order. That was literally THE LAST time someone assisted us during our meal. I understand it's a buffet and you help yourself to your food, but our multiple used dishes we not collected from our table and not once were we able to get someone to bring us even a SINGLE drink re-fill. Not-a-one. We tried flagging them down as they walked nearby or were within view, and they just walked on by or turned the other direction - each and every time. (And it's Chinese food so...we were thirsty!) The place was only about 30-40% occupied in my estimation and there were employees milling about - but not once could we get someone to help us - even when it came time for the check. Regarding the food... The hibachi stir fry was... ok enough, but nothing to come back for. The selections from which to pick for your stir-fry were extremely limited and the mushrooms should absolutely not have been out there - they looked old and all bruised up. My stir-fry was cooked up quickly on the hot griddle and was probably what I enjoyed most about the evening, but that's not saying much, sadly. With regard to the buffet portion, there were a few enjoyable items... the tiny little purse-shaped Crab Rangoons had a tasty filling inside and I've always been a sucker, for some weird reason, for the slightly creamy, cheesey, oniony, Baked Imitation crab... But otherwise, it was a buffet filled with very questionable seafood including craw fish, raw oysters, and clam dishes (my Southern boyfriend took one bite of the tail meat out of a Crawfish and immediately said "NOPE, that's not how that's supposed to taste...I don't trust that at all."), and other disappointing items when it came to taste and texture. Things that you know are supposed to be crunchy - were not... and things that should have been softer in texture, were dried out. I imagine the food was just sitting out on the buffet too long without enough people to eat it and increase the speed time of turn-over... As far as cleanliness, there were more than a few serving spoons (and surfaces) I didn't want to touch because things were lookin' sticky... and, while I might have been tempted to scoop myself a cup of ice cream, I wasn't going to be picking up any of those ice cream scoops out of water that looked like that... Not last night, Satan. (A soft serve machine would make for an easier ice cream-related experience here, as a side note...) And, for the record, I think I've already proven to anyone reading this review that I'm hardly a germaphobe because, well, I was down with going to a buffet in the first place. When it came time to pay the bill, we sat and waited for someone to assist us... we tried flagging people down... my boyfriend even went up to the main counter (near the entrance) to see if he could pay there, or at least have someone sent over to us, and there was simply no one there. After about 15 minutes, finally we were able to flag someone down (third attempt on the same person), and she brought the bill. We promptly gave her our card, signed the bill, left a tip on the table, and walked out of there knowing that it's not a place we'll venture to again. Ultimately, we were not looking for (or even expecting) some 5-star dining experience last night...but we were at least hoping for a 3.5 to 5 star BUFFET experience and sadly we didn't get it. Worst buffet I've been to in RI, plenty of other buffets nearby that are a lot better. They stop refilling food and start to close hibachi 2-3 hours before official close time. This meant that even though I arrived 2 hours before close, a good portion of the food was already gone, sushi was out, salad was out, most desserts were gone, ice cream was low, hibachi was cleaning up, workers started to hand out bills, etc. Much of the food was undercooked or overcooked, and every soup was absolutely disgusting and had weird aftertastes. read more

Food is fresh with a ton of variety. For lunch they have all-you-can-eat shrimp and clams, which are usually available only for dinner at other buffets, and beef ribs. Incredibly inexpensive. They occasionally have the deep fried sesame balls filled with red beans, one of my favorite snacks. For weekend dinners, they offer all-you-can-eat locally caught rock crab. They're well-cooked, so I've never gotten sick. The meat is flavorful and sweet. There is also a hibachi grill in the back, where a cook will grill fresh/raw ingredients of you your choosing for you. so my dad(vishnu love him) LOVES chinese buffets. this is where we took to celebrate his birthday. hey , whatever keeps the old guy happy ;) anyways this is a pretty big buffet in terms of quantity. i really like the wok stand they have which you can pick your own stir fry incredient , including spicy sauce, and they make it to order. i also like the stir fried bok choy and mustard greens. their ice cream is also delicious the price is great as well given the food . service is fine, no issues. parking is free, in a lot. ambiance is clean. they are constantly clearing tables. the place is pretty noisy but that is part of the experience ! overall- good bargain meal to eat to your fill enjoy! read more

Simply the typical buffet food some great some good some not so good. I enjoyed every thing I had except for dumplings. I love the pan fried but they only had steamed and they had been in the steam table pan too long so the dough was so rubbery it was inedible but the filling was delicious so I would have loved them fresh.The hot and sour soup was delicious and quite hot both temperature and spice level and I loved it.The desserts were ok and lots of fresh fruit. All in all I would return.The servers were nice and good with refills and helpful but some workers I tried to ask questions of did not speak nor understand any english. I come here with my family every now and then. Definitely the go-to spot when we can't decide where to eat and also because it's great for the kids. Food is average but great for the price. I do a lot of takeout also. 3 fully packed trays would cost me less than 25 dollars. The reason why a 3 stars is because every time I come here it reminds me of how much I miss "East Buffet". Disclaimer that I didn't choose to eat here, my relative wanted to eat here for her birthday. The restaurant is dimly lit, you can't really see your food. The waitresses watch you eat and take your plate immediately when you're done which is creepy, they should at least find something to do other than stand there and watch. The food seemed to be sitting there for a very long time. The onion rings I had were SUPER stale. The jell-o sits right next to the seafood which is gross. dessert shouldn't sit next to fish. They only had lo-mein no other noodle options... which disappointed me. The lo-mein was also really salty. The hot n sour soup wasn't sour or hot. Gonna be honest, the hibachi is the only thing that makes this kinda special but tbh, the hibachi ingredients weren't all that either. Not even worth your time.
