Inside is a little tight, but it is an old building with naked bricks, historic decor, a good sized bar and tables inside. Outside is a deck with covered tables, another area for corn hole and a food truck which has all the major bar food groups including churros. Sean was my beertender and he really was the best. They have a policy of holding your card for tabs which I really hate, but he made me feel comfortable about leaving my life in his hands. When I first walked in on a weekday during happy hour, it was pretty light, but around 4:30p the place started filling up. Happy hour is Monday - Friday until 6pm and they have 18 taps which qualify for happy hour. Plus they had 3 guest taps, both ciders. Ruby Beach has a mug club, it is about $80 for the year. You get a free beer on Tuesday as well as your own numbered mug. It is limited. So exclusive in fact that they do a raffle every August. The BEER: Crown Jewel Belgian Tripel 11.4% ABV... easy drinking, not boozy and quite delicious, this one will sneak up on you Return of the Mac Daddy Pale Ale 5.5% ABV... the description is "rye pale ale hopped with Amarillo. On the first sip I thought one note, but boy was I wrong. As it warms it has layers. And in my opinion the layers are all good, like a good lasagna. Over the Ditch 15.0 NEIPA 6% ABV... if I was in front of a firing and they gave me a last request, I might choose this beer. Sweet grapefruit and stars... love this! Grit & Glow Lager 5.2% ABV... if you have ever smelled fabuloso that is what I first smelled when I put the beer to my lips, the beer itself is just as perfumey, not for me... but if you like those type of flavors in beer, you might like this one Rosemary In the Rye Pale Ale 5.5% ABV... all day crushable pale ale, with a slight hint of rosemary, basically the Mac Daddy plus rosemary O'Ruby's Irish Stout 5.5% ABV... smooth coffee with hints of toffee, so ver crushable, but it is way better warm Didn't get to try the food on this visit, but on a side note... the bathrooms are both unisex and CLEAN. I arrived unaware of its history, but the owner's love for basketball is unmistakable, and the locals reflect that same devotion... not just to the sport, but to the space itself. There's an ease here, a sense that people aren't just passing through. I took a seat at the bar, did what one does in such environments, and ordered an IPA. It was solid... confident, balanced, exactly what you'd hope for. But then came the onion rings, which I ordered based on a subtle but unmistakable social cue: everyone else seemed to be eating them. Reader, they were correct. These were not mere onion rings. These were structurally sound, texturally precise, and philosophically complete. Large, fully cooked onions, no trace of that unpleasant raw bite, encased in a crisp, golden coating that somehow maintained its integrity from first bite to last. Crunchy, consistent, and deeply satisfying. Naturally, I paired them with blue cheese dressing because I'm from upstate New York, and that is not a preference, it is doctrine.

I was thinking the outside looks like they made it with Lego, but Lego from an artisan. I especially love that they have Belgians on tap in Florida, where Belgians are few and far between. The Belgians here, including the hefeweizen were made with love. Before I forget, shouts out to Jeff for answering all my eclectic questions, and being a genuinely all around professional. Love your energy bro, low key and inviting, an authentically good person. The BEER: Weizen Wolf hefeweizen 6% ABV... this is the hefe I remember from Germany, banana and clove goodness BPA Belgian Pale Ale 5.5% ABV... like a party in my mouth, perfectly balanced and so very crushable Hostile Wit-Ness Belgian Wit 4 5% ABV... not what I expected, it has floral notes, is light like jasmine tea with a kiss instead of a bite at the end. And once it gets warmer it opens into something wonderful. St Anthony's Fire Rye Barleywine 10.8% ABV... slightly boozy, a semi sweet, with a delicious finish. This one is one and done. A full pour of this will send you home in an Uber. Southbank Hazy IPA 6.5% ABV... not a basic hazy, some citrus and when it warms up it is so very wonderful I didn't spend much time at Aardworf Brewing Company, but the time I spent was fantastic. Last night a group of friends and I came here to celebrate a birthday. Nothing big or fancy, just wanted a good time with good people, with plenty of food and drinks. - The Taps System - Upon using the tap systems, between my husband and I more than 4 taps we're emptied, but we were still charged 2oz - 4oz pours... even if nothing but foam came out. There was even one instance where my husband was charged for a 4oz pour before he even touched the handle. - The Food - My husband and I only ordered the chip duo (comes with queso and salsa). You can tell the salsa IS made fresh in house, but it was extremely sweet, almost like a ketchup sweet but not the same consistency. It really needed some extra seasoning blends in it. The queso was good. I enjoyed that, but nothing too special about it, but good. A friend of ours ordered a burger, and after waiting 20 minutes for it, he was told he never placed the order for it. He pulled his phone out, showed where his payment had gone through and order was submitted, and then come to find out, the kitchen so.ehow didn't receive the order or his ticket got lost in the process along the way... so he never got food. Frustrating. Another person at our table ordered a special made drink from the bar, and after waiting 20 minutes for it had to ask about it and what happened. Then a couple minutes later two came to the table, she let them know she only ordered one, so they took the second one they goofed on making. - Service - I forget her name. She said multiple times she was new and had only just started. Bright, bubbly, energetic, and full of charisma. She is the reason this isn't a 1 star TBH. She was an absolute delight and wonderful to have serving and assisting us. I wish I remember her name, but she had wavy/curly hair and a sunny little finesse to her we all enjoyed. She was your saving grace last night for all of us. I hate to say, but after the multiple mishaps, we probably won't return. The atmosphere and space are great and beautiful, but the many failures in different aspects really made it feel like it wasn't a one off thing. When we reviewed our receipt at home, we noticed that a lot of the overcharges from the empty taps were not removed, and in this economy, that really sucks.
