This park sure has come around over the last few years. It used to be fairly basic but they've continued to work on it and make it nicer and at this point it's really great venue The bowl area has a slope and if it's not too crowded you can spread a blanket to listen to the music if you want. They roll and a bunch of food trucks for most events that circled the area and they have added a ton of portable toilets to the standing building toilets although it would be nice if they put some air conditioning in those concrete block bathrooms at least they are clean Every show that I have been to has had a great Sam system and the facility stays very clean there is no trash lying about You can walk down along the water, there's pavilions, this is turned into a great location

If you wondered where the alligator went to...it is here at Metro Park!

Metropolitan Park is now used for all kinds of venues! Today is The Greenscape Tree Festival. They are giving away a variety of N. Fl trees up to 15'! Then they have all kind of educational booths with facts on invasive plants and such. They have natural art vendors, honey, food artists, flowers for sale and food trucks. Music on the river is great too! Good way to us this park on the river!

Great venue! I can't believe I have lived in Jacksonville almost two years and been to Everbank Stadium and had never been to Metro Park. It is such a lovely place for a festival of any kind. I was out riding a bicycle through beautiful downtown Jacksonville when I came across The Natural Life Festival and Metro Park. The amphitheatre is set up with a rolling grassy knoll for spectators. Vendors of food and crafts have ample space to set up their wares in non invasive and easily accessible areas surrounding the center attraction. Then there is the gorgeous St. Johns River waterfront running along the southeastern side of the Park. Love it!

We came to the nature life festival here. This is the 2nd time we have come to this festival! I love the location! It's a stunning park! With lots of room best part.... It's on water. I love to just come here for photoshoots or to walk around! Great park right by the stadium!

Funk Fest has been all over the place the last couple of years . its back at Metro park and the old reunion vibe is reigning supreme today.

My Welcome to Rockville 2013 experience at Metro Park... One word: unreal! Can't wait for next year.

I came here for Welcome to Rockville back in April of 2014 and this was the best experience of my life. I had so much fun at this event and Metropolitan Park made it even better. Parking was super easy, we parked right outside the venue and proceeded to wait on line to enter the park. We waited on line for what seemed like forever, I'd say about 45 minutes, security folks doing their thing and checking everyone for contraband. Once we entered the park we were enamored by how huge it was! So many food venues and all the stages (there were about 3) Not only to mention that it was a magnificent view of the Jacksonville skyline. The only downside was the food vendors weren't all that good and there was not enough seats. Next year I'm going to bring some benches and not to mention sunscreen! We're still in Florida and that sun is a beast! I can not wait to come back to Jacksonville for Rockville 2014!

Located in a 101-year-old building that used to be an A&P grocery store, this space perfectly blends history, creativity, and community. I love that so much of the original architecture has been preserved -- and the fact that it was designed by a woman architect back in the day makes it even more special. The Cove offers so much: daily coffee service, cooking and cake-decorating classes in "The Lab," yoga and meditation on Wellness Wednesdays, Social Sundays focused on mindfulness and connection, and even Art & Wine nights where you can sip, snack, and paint while listening to live music. They're also about to open Sticks & Stones, a private cigar club next door that will be available to members -- it's going to be such a great addition to the experience. The next membership cohort begins November 1st, and spots are limited to just 150 members to keep things community-focused and personal. They also host networking events, lectures, and business education workshops, so it's a great mix of social and professional. Whether you come for a coffee, an event, or to meet new people, The Cove Social Club is one of those places that makes you feel instantly connected and inspired.
