Parking is tricky on Sundays - the market was packed. The park itself is so nice and I love how the vendors were set up all throughout. I also noticed there were restrooms that were not port a pottys. They had a variety of vendors, food trucks, etc. This market is bigger than I expected, and I will go even earlier next time.

And on the other side, a skate park and open field! Definitely nice to stroll around for a little fresh air, sun, and exercise. They do have some covered table areas and benches to relax in if you just want to enjoy the surroundings. I like the chill atmosphere. And the tree coverings are good, so it's not so hot in the shade. I'll try to get more pics next time!

It's great for dogs, children, adults. Everyone. I like that there is a sidewalk circling the play equipment so I can walk while my daughter plays. It's also good for her to ride her bike on a continuous loop. There's a larger outside sidewalk for walking a longer trails or taking the pets for a walk. There's trees to help shade the equipment and people as well. The picnic tables allow for family picnics. Such a great park. I will continue to visit.

I always carry protection when going to this park but after a strange man took pictures of his surroundings and said "I'll see you later" to me as he left I will not be returning. I wish they would send a cop to keep it cleaned up or had a better solution. Luckily the city's park crewmen were there and he seemed to scare off at them. The trees and walking path are beautiful but, something has to change :(

Overall, the park is just kind of covered in trash. I have not been able to find a halfway decent park since moving to the Jacksonville area. I do have to say there's a lot of shade here which is nice other than that it's not great there's two small play structures, but would be a pretty good spot for riding scooters.

It's located right at the corner of Blvd and Southside Blvd, yet it feels miles away from everything. Here's why I love it: The Trails: Whether you're on foot or two wheels, they've got you covered. There is a dedicated mountain bike course and several miles of well-maintained trails for hiking. Water Views: There's a beautiful pond featuring a kayak launch and an event center available for rentals. Peace & Quiet: This park is completely tucked away. I've visited twice now and was the only person there both times. The trails looked pretty clean; I think they have volunteers that come through periodically. Birdwatching & Picnics: There are plenty of benches to sit and admire the local birds, plus several picnic tables.

The south parking lot is tiny but there is parking at a senior center off Beach nearer to the dirt jumps which I guess is fine to use? I mean, it's owned by the city as well, not a private business. Unless you're interrupting bingo night I would think it fine to park over there. Be watchful for snakes including possibly cottonmouths. I did not see any but one trails goes between a lake and swampy, flooded, area and seems prime for water snakes--I like snakes but don't want to encounter a cottonmouth on a trail and this seems a great place to do just that.

Lovelace Park is a small park by a public school. I mentioned this because if you come around when…read morethe school is letting out, traffic is insane and a lot of people are meeting their kids at this park instead of waiting in the long line to get in the school. There is not much at this park. There is a little paved walkway, a few gazebos, and the children's playground. Still, it is not a bad place if you are in the neighborhood to come and chill for a bit. I would not go out of my way to come to this park, but all in all, it was not bad. Overall, I will give Lovelace Park three stars.

There are light poles every ~100 feet so it's well lit at night. The park is full of tall trees and along the wall of trees there are a few "off the beaten path" entrances that lead into the forest behind it. A few minutes through the forest leads to a small river. If you look to the far right, you see houses from the neighborhood next door. But to the far left, there is a bridge that leads you to a second forest area. We didn't go too far into this area because we forgot bug spray. The forest is pretty and shaded with all the trees. However, there is a lot of litter which is unfortunate.

Carroll Memorial…read morePark is a great little versatile park which also includes a skate park, playground, and is on one end of the historic Jacksonville-Baldwin Hiking Trail where the railroad used to run. There are a 2 covered areas and 6 tables for holding parties or just picnicking on the premises. It's right by a community center, as well if you'd like to hold your party or celebration indoors. It's a bit out of the way, so don't get discouraged when your GPS or map leads you into empty roads. You'll get there, and it will be worth it! Note: This was my 200th FTR! Yay!!
