Enjoyed an amazing time with my partner and his friends. It was karaoke battle night and loved to see all the talented individuals. I couldn't sing. My partner's friends sung and they were amazing. We enjoyed the interior decor as it gave us somewhat "Harry Potter" vibes with the books. I got a non-alcoholic drink called the Drop It Low -- passionfruit, tonic, lemon and cranberry. Really liked the flavors blending well and had refreshing drink feeling. My partner had his usual corona beers. Definitely loved the vibes and the people here were amazing. The staff were wonderful. Really enjoyed his friends and looking forward to more karaoke nights! read more

I always look to my Yelp friends to get me to try new places! Charlotte invited me out to meet before a big event right around the corner from Hardwicks- I was thrilled to see this gorgeous bar when I walked in! Great space, the vibe is moody, great space to the side for entertainment and dancing. Loved the bar, spacious, filled with bottles. I really did pop in just for a quick cocktail, old fashioned in my go to & happy hour delivered one for $8! Score! The bartender was quick and professional, she easily managed customers as they flowed in and out. I was able to cash out quickly at the end of my delicious cocktail and head out. I will be sure to return! Great spot downtown. read more

We've only been to Hardwicks Bar once so far but we really enjoyed our experience. It was a slow night so I can't speak to how wild it may get or how slow service may be when it's packed. I do know the servers we talked to while we where there were very kind. I also know that the decor was SO rad. We want to go back ASAP. read more

Came for a drink with a group of friends before a concert at Daily's Place. When unsure of what to order, a patron recommended the espresso martini. Three in our group got the martinis and they were fantastic and very cold (which I appreciate it). Others in the group got gatorades and beer. They had a great cocktail list with a lot of options I wanted to try but just didn't have enough time. The bartender was very sweet and quick to attend to us. read more

We went before the Gary Owen show. The girl bartender was very slow but nice. Drinks were cheap, love the atmosphere. We will be back.

First time in Jacksonville and stumbled across this gem. Looks like a newly renovated Spanish Revival style building that has been brought into the next century. Evert detail is meticulous and deliberate. Such a cool modern/masculine/ lounge vibe. We were greeted at the door with the friendliest of security. The bartender was equally friendly and helpful. We got there early a nice vibe with a few people dancing and one HOT GoGo boy getting things rolling. The performers were awesome and the MC Gianni sparkled on his night of a thousand Gianni's! So secure and commanded the audience. What a treat. Strong delicious beverages were flowing. Patrons were warm and friendly. Don't miss this place when you're in town. read more

I LOOOVE HARDWICKS!!! It's definitely more of the crowd for us than the Walrus. Much love to them for doing what they do BUT the service here is phenomenal !!!! Had to come back and give Hardwicks another shout out everybody know that this is one of my favorite places to hang out not only the establishment is very nice, but the staff also make it a pleasant place to hang out. They're very kind and nice. I also wanna give a personal shout out to Jordan it very good to see him stepping into a new role and challenge not only he was good at what he was doing he's even better as a bartender. I love that he is very attentive and personable with his customers and can still effectively make a great cocktail. He is doing an amazing job already. I love to see bartenders with personalities, it makes for even more of a greater experience. so Harwick's definitely is a must try!!!!! read more

I'll admit, the first time I went in it felt very boujie and I thought it would not be my kind of bar. But I'm glad I gave it a chance. The best attribute about this bar is its ability to have a range of personas for a range of people. Leather night, Diva night, girl night, or just coming in the middle of the day. Big unisex bathrooms with a rare wait. The parking can be a challenge sometimes but not often. The "loud screechy straight girls" that inundates other bars seems to be kept in check here. As with other gay bars, it is all-inclusive, but make no mistake, we still need LGBTQ bars. This bar has also not become heavy with drag performances as others have. At times, it can become elbow to elbow here which starts to become un-fun (what's on that second floor?). It's a pretty good mix here, and sprinkled withe the awesome bartenders and awesome security staff, I have always had a great time here. The environment encourages people to mingle. The drinks are pricey, but they are also carefully put together and unique (there's a Thai iced-tea based drink and a mint and green sprinkles drink that are addictive!). Bars often struggle to keep all these things together in balance, but Hardwicks does. It's a little out of the way in downtown, but worth trying out. Go a couple times to get the full impression. read more

The food and the energy were amazing! I thought I was entering a dive bar, but it was a really great place. I had a steak and it was well flavored and cooked. The staff are also amazing, they took care of me quickly. They also have great sense of humor! I'll definitely go back there on my next trip. read more

This place has horrible service and the bartenders are racist. We were next in line at the bar and the bartenders ignored us purposely serving several other people who had walked straight into the bar off the street. I left a $100 tip on $35 for the one bartender who finally helped us, but we will never be back. read more

service slow prices a bit high you don't have a welcoming feel there from the bartenders i was one for 8 years not a hello how are you my names so &so I'll be glad to get you a drink. i guess never go to the bar alone once you get a drink your a ghost other wise great bar glad they have a decent bar and i drive aways to come just need friendly bar tenders so people who aren't regulars feel like they our .see there the ones that don't stay long when there left alone to long and the money goes out the door with them. This place doesn't even get 1 star, me and my friends all black people went to this place and we requested music. the dj proceed to say he can only play house music but yet we request 2 house songs and never heard them. I proceeded to add more house music and it still wasn't played. I walked to the dj booth and tried to ask about our songs and he cut me off put his hand in my face and said he was " working" i did tell him he was bad at his job. I walked away and just went back to my friends and the DJ walks up to us yelling. He insulted me and everything's about this experience felt racist. He had security follow us until we left all because i asked for good music to be played. Like no one was moving and he got mad that we asked him for music he was playing. this is just a racist place and i never recommend. read more
