My wife and I ordered at the bar and received quick service. Since it was early, the vibe was quiet, with only a movie playing on the screen. We only stayed for about 30 minutes, but it was a pleasant, chill atmosphere. It was quite a shock to step back outside and be blinded by the sun afterward. Overall, a cool spot with a great vibe for a quick drink.

This place, like Volstead, is great and shows off the Mixology in downtown during this awesome era. The art is risqué and the drinks are strong. We will definitely be back. Thankfully, they pointed us toward the barbershop entrance. Definitely appreciated that! Once inside, I loved the entire speakeasy vibe. I would absolutely return!

I'll let the photos from other reviews do the talking, but if you enjoy a good backstory, ask about the history of the space. My mission for the night was simple: end the evening with a great gin cocktail. I started with the Donna Bella from the menu. It was well made, but I thought the bitters were a little too forward for my taste. Next, I asked for an off-menu modification: a Water Lily for Teresa, but made with Roku Gin. It was a strong contender--aromatic, balanced, and beautifully floral. If you're a fan of a French 75, this is a fun cocktail to explore. It's less citrus-forward and leans into a floral profile with a character that's hard to compare to anything else. For the final round, I went with bartender's choice. Mick asked a few questions about my flavor preferences and absolutely nailed it. They crafted a cocktail with Roku gin, snap pea cordial, aloe liqueur, egg white, lemon simple, mint, and citrus that was easily the highlight of the night. Fresh, layered, and memorable, it's a drink that deserves a permanent spot on the menu....Mission accomplished. If you're willing to wander beyond the barbershop business front and you consider yourself a spirit explorer, Volstead is well worth the visit. Go for a round...or two. If you're local, this could easily become your staple spot. For what it is, strong craft cocktail bar option. Bartenders choice is the way to go.

So the first time we were here, the album cover paintings stood out to us. Of course I know all of them and love many of them but per usual, anywhere that features artwork for King of Pop Michael Jackson is immediately good in my book! I started with a Mocha Martini, which is basically adult chocolate milk and I am totally OK with that. For lunch, I ordered their Big 1/2 Burger w/ Fries because it's been a while since I've had a burger. The offer toppings but I'm a plain burger person, thus the photo with only cheese. It's a really solid burger with a great brioche bun. The fries were seasoned well but not super crispy so I didn't eat a lot of them. My wife ordered the BLT which should come as a shock to no one. I'm reasonably that anyone could look at the photo of the BLT and not need to read a review. She loved it. Her only mild critique was that she thought there was a bit too much tomato, but that's easy enough to dispense with so no biggie. I'm glad we ate here this time.
