Let's just say... This place has always drawn an interesting crowd therefore I've never had a sucky night here - Ever. This was the "last stop" bar I would go to on my way back from partying at the beaches when I lived in Fleming Island so I have been here a lot! And trust me, nothing has really changed much except for the fact that I am now part of that age group that I used to come here to "people watch" and act the fool. Ummm. Yea. I don't quite know how I feel about that... So fast forward almost 20 years and some of my "older" girlfriends ask me to go dancing here and have a girls' night out. I go and yup... nothing has changed. I can still get a strong drink here. I can still smoke cigarettes inside and dance like an idiot without judgment. They still have decent music playing. The service is still southern hospitality. And I will still get hit on by random men with liquid courage and I politely decline. I have been going to this place for years and and everytime I get a drink its always watered down. I look at the white people drunk getting good drinks and we are walking around with no buzz at all. I went there last night irder 2 drink no buzz at all. I talked to other blacks and they said the same thing. We are oaying our money to come in that place and they cant even give you a good drink. The Owner unexpectedly charged a "cash only cover charge" of $5.00. So many people had to leave and go to an ATM to get cash. I don't carry cash very often. I was on a date with my Kosovian date. He paid because he had cash. I had one margarita and it was very good. Then I had two bottles of water. My date is very popular there and what I hear is that he is a great dancer and has many friends there. Unfortunately I was bored out of my mind. Yes, it was a nice group of older adults. Not my cup of tea though. I did dance one slow dance with my friend. The Owner was also the Dee Jay-he did not really play good music. I could not wait to get home and relax. I did enjoy seeing the many couples dance, as they were pretty good dancers. I used to dance when I was young. Not anymore. I know dancing is good for you, but I am just not in to it now. Recommend? $5 cover charge. A lot of people I know have talked about this place, mostly making jokes. I somehow ended up here this past weekend. The first thing I noticed is that they still allow smoking in the establishment. Although, it was somewhat faint but it's also 2020 so who really smokes cigarettes anymore? I didn't ran see anyone with one but the smell was still there. Should have brought my vape. Definitely a mixed crowd and that's a good thing. However we did run into a little bit of an issue. We sat at a table that had some empty drinks, 5 minutes later this dude comes back and says this is my table and proceed to move our drinks off. My first thought was to rock this guy but then I would have ended a good night on a bad note. The server came over and said he left his drinks to go to the dance floor, so he was either a local or she probably knew him. Told my buddy to let's go sit somewhere else and to let him have the table. The drinks were inconsistent. First drink I had was good but the second tasted like straight rubbing alcohol. That doesn't make a drink strong, it makes it taste like shit. The bartenders either focused on the locals or made the bolt to chicks mostly. There weren't any female bartenders. My wife and her friends ended up getting the drinks for me and my buddy. The music was alright. Some good tunes to dance to and then some random song that would clear out the dance floor and leave a few 60+ year olds still grinding on each other. Lots of old dudes hitting all the chicks and getting turned down, for the most part. Bathroom was okay. Still had the good ole blower that no one used. A few people didn't wash their hands, gross. I do like the non-foam soap though. Overall, the girls had a good time and said they would come back. Probably would be without me though. read more

The place to dance, though they could use more guys willing to do the old fashion and try the man asking a woman to dance. Personally I do not ask. Perfer them to ask me, since this is not in the normal woman's Gnome there. I dance by myself. And lately the DJ Jason has had at least 4 dance-able songs in a row. At least three times a night. This is an interesting bar in Orange Park that I visited with family members while on vacation in Florida. It has a 50's motif but played music from the 50's until present. It's definately a singles bar but also a great dance club. Everyone in my group had a great time dancing all night. The crowd was very diverse and friendly and we never felt like a drunken brawl was about to erupt at any time. People watching is SUPERB here! read more

Too smoky! I looked up and saw only 2 ceiling fans to help with the ventilation. The DJ plays great PARTY music - music that you love to listen to but not suitable for dancing. I have been going here on a semi regular basis for years (about every two months) and keep hoping that it will improve but basically it remains the same because it is the only game in town. Tried to go on a recent Friday night and it closed by midnight. If I lived closer to the Atlantic location, I would opt going there...they basically play a lot of the same music but the DJ mixes it up and spaces out the genre much better. In the past, I have attempted to request songs from the DJ only to be told that he did not play requests. I am not sure if this is still the policy but I gave up on that concept.
