Axe Champs is amazing. We went on a Tuesday night for a team building activity for work. George helped us with the entire process from check-in untill we closed our tabs. George gave us very clear instructions and safety guidelines as well as some very helpful tips and tricks. We threw for an hour with George providing assistance when requested in-between helping other parties. We had the opportunity to add more time at the end. There is a large section of beers and ciders, several are from local breweries. There were sodas and water available too. There was limited snacks available; however, we were also able to order food from a local restaurant, Fired up, less than a block away that delivered it, by foot, to us at no extra charge. At the end George helped us take pictures and even joined one at the end. We all had a blast. Looking forward visiting Axe Champs again. read more

This is a great local small business in Murray Hill. 10/10 - we will be back. George was amazing and super personable. We had some banter. They have soooo many drink options and throwing options. WOW! My mom got us a Groupon for a date night to something I have NEVER done before. I had an absolutely amazing time! The fella that worked with us, George, was so much fun and gave us so much info. He was a fantastic coach and made the experience so fantastic. I have never done this before and on top of him making sure we were safe; he made sure we had a HELL of a time! I would have taken More photos but I was having too much fun! Must note, I recently had knee surgery so I was getting pretty depressed being home all the time. This was a fantastic way to get out without a huge physical commitment. He made sure I was comfortable and happy and really made the experience something epic. I can't WAIT to come back! This place is for EVERYONE! We can't wait to bring our kids back. From newly wed to nearly dead, this place has something for everyone. When we arrived we were greeted by Dennis who instructed us on how to sign in and how the axe throwing was to be done. We had the opportunity to play two different types of games during our session. This place is AMAZING! The owner is super cool. He helps you understand how to handle the different throwing tools and checks your board regularly to make sure it's not too firm; if it is then he sprays it with water to soften the wood slightly. Also, there is so much more than just ax throwing. There are ninja stars, tomahawks Long knives and short knives. Plus, in I guess I'm what would be called the lobby area there are a bunch of games too. There's tables corn hole, connect 4, darts, & so much more. I super seriously highly recommend this place. If you're going to try ax throwing come to this place and getting the full experience and more. Oh and remember to wear close toed shoes (they do have Crocs you can borrow if you forget). Amazing experience! My family from Alaska and Idaho came for Christmas and there were 15 of us, all different ages from teens to my mom who is 80 to all in between. Got to try out standard hatchets, ninja stars, and the Owner even brought out a large battle axe at the end of the night (much more difficult to throw but I got it to stick once).
