We had 4 of us and the timeframe was perfect. We did a regular target game, a balloon popping game, and a zombie game. All fun for different points. Your score shows on top of the lane (think bowling). Setup is two lanes side by side with the axes in the middle. There are two axe options for you to try, a larger one you can throw with one or two hands and a smaller, lighter one that you use one hand for. I preferred the two hand axe, did better with this. Fun time for sure. They sell non-alcoholic drinks Ks and I believe you can bring beer (we weren't aware but another group had). This was my first time- Will be back!

We checked in and then suited up in protective gear: coveralls, gloves, and full head mask. We could also each select two weapons (think hammers, crowbars, golf clubs, tennis rackets, bats, etc). One sledgehammer was already in the room. For 30 minutes, we got to blast music through the blue tooth speaker and just obliterate anything in the room. My husband loved the furniture and the electronics.My favorite was knocking the keys off a keyboard and smashing the glasses with the crowbar. While it's not an every day activity, I would absolutely come back and do it again! Staff was super nice and friendly and it was absolutely worth the drive from St. Aug to Orange Park! They also offer VR escape rooms, axe throwing and a few other little activities.

FROM A PROFESSIONAL PERSPECTIVE: So basically, this was a team building exercise by corporate to fuse together a diverse crowd from different counties. The facility itself is a great idea for group events. For us, bringing a variety of personal from assorted assignments together in a relaxed atmosphere for mind mapping purposes did yield a few useful ideas. Mostly it educated. We found that we still hung on to traditional gaming match-ups such as: Tim and Lisa vs. Stephanie and Greg. We quickly learned that Greg is useless at cornhole but excels at axe throwing. Lisa was the opposite. It's all Learning. Steven can't drink enough to keep up with Diana; Tim can shoot stick, Stephanie is the best dancer of anyone in the building. These morsels are telling and provide valuable data. We persevered by focusing our strengths on various problems in the equation. Now, the Ideation storm did lead the way to an avalanche of potential plans and schemes. It also worked to solve existing production issues. So much fun! When you first get there you fill out consents/waivers of course, and get started! The instructor was so fun and personable and really supplemented the experience just by being awesome and encouraging! They help teach you how to throw and even though the concept can seem (and certainly can be) dangerous, they do a lot to make sure you're safe! ONE THING TO KNOW: WEAR CLOSED TOE SHOES!! It is a requirement ! Which makes total sense but if you're trying to do this spontaneously, it might not be the first thing on your mind so it's good to note! I was actually a little sore the next day, so yes it is strenuous! It's such a good time and definitely so much fun, especially if you're competitive. I one thousand percent recommend this! I think 1 hour would be just enough if you're there with 2 people, any longer than that and my arms might've fallen off Other notes: * they serve alcohol * you can upgrade your axes for extra $ * there are games they teach you which are fun! think of it like dart games but with an axe * we went on a Monday night and it wasn't busy at ALL! also, next door had Bingo to finish the night with!

George gave us very clear instructions and safety guidelines as well as some very helpful tips and tricks. We threw for an hour with George providing assistance when requested in-between helping other parties. We had the opportunity to add more time at the end. There is a large section of beers and ciders, several are from local breweries. There were sodas and water available too. There was limited snacks available; however, we were also able to order food from a local restaurant, Fired up, less than a block away that delivered it, by foot, to us at no extra charge. At the end George helped us take pictures and even joined one at the end. We all had a blast. Looking forward visiting Axe Champs again.

An Amazing Team-Building Experience at The Trap!…read more We came back after 11 months, and we had an absolutely fantastic experience at The Trap! Our two Parsons offices, the Downtown Orlando office and the Altamonte Springs office, came together for a team-building event, and everyone had an amazing time. A very special thank you to Miriam for all her assistance in planning our activity. Her cordiality, professionalism, and willingness to help throughout the entire process certainly did not go unnoticed. She made everything so easy and was always available to assist us. We also want to give a huge shout-out to Austin, the Manager, who went above and beyond to make sure our group was having a great time and that everyone was well taken care of. His attention and hospitality truly made a difference. And what can we say about the extraordinary Ian, Bryh, and Morgan? You were all awesome! You made the axe-throwing experience fun, exciting, and memorable for everyone. They were so great explaining to all of us how the best way to throw successfully. After about a 5 minutes both kids were hitting the target and having a great time doing it. The drinks were delicious, and they also serve food here. However, we did not grab a bite to eat. The ladies were very friendly and bubbly. I can't wait to come back and visit again.
