I have never done an escape room before - but it always sounded fun. When I was looking at…read moredifferent places, a lot of them you had to have multiple people to fill a room, or they would pair you with other groups or you'd have to pay a higher price that would normally be divided among 6 or 8 players. Huddy's was a lot cheaper AND I could book just a 2-party group for me and my boyfriend. Neither of us had ever done an escape room so all we knew came from TV shows. I knew there would be clues and I always assumed you were just in one room and were locked in until you either escaped or your time was up. When we got there, our "game master" explained the process and showed us the different types of locks we'd encounter in our game. He also said we wouldn't be completely locked in and would be able to leave if we needed. We got to pick from three themes available at this location and we went with the medieval theme. I was blown away when we went in the first room - that's right, first room. I always thought it was one large room but here, there are multiple mini rooms you go through, and the sets were so fun! We encountered a dragon, had to find and return dragon eggs, solve puzzled to get a sword out of a rock, it was a blast! Because there are narrower pathways I wouldn't want to go with a large group, I think I'd feel claustrophobic. I think 4 people would be pushing it. Unfortunately we didn't escape in time as the first clue and figuring out how everything worked took longer than we expected but it was still so much fun. I can't wait to go back again and even want to go to their sister property in Ocala for a candy-themed escape room.

While we are familiar with the city, it was really interesting to have the context of history to frame our knowledge. We arrived 15 minutes before our tour, and our guide Toni was waiting for us. The tuktuk was ready with a cooler filled with champagne, sangria and water (that we ordered as add-ons to our tour). She gave us a set of headphones and a speaker we could wear around our necks, so we could hear her narration clearly over the traffic. Our two hour tour was chock full of sights and sites! Toni was fun, knowledgeable and engaging. We had plenty of opportunities to comments, ask questions, and even get out of the vehicle to take photos or admire certain locations. We cannot WAIT to take another tour (or three!) Highly recommend - this is a fun date for couples, families, or friends!
