We've done about a dozen escape rooms and this was among the best ones. We attempted the Asylum but didn't escape. They said it has about a 3% success rate. We had a great time anyway. Staff member, Grayson was great getting us set up and helping the game along. The rooms have lots of details. The props aren't cheaply made. Very immersive feeling. We plan to go back and try to finish and do the other rooms. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun group activity. read more

Had a lot of fun with my boyfriend at this location! Staff are super friendly and do try to help you crack the puzzle (if you want help). They really are super sweet and the puzzles are pretty difficult. They gave us a tour of the rooms so if you have a larger party I would recommend doing the scary room or the gator mining company. For a two person, definitely do the study. If I were to go back I would most likely want 2+ people joining in on the fun... if you are bored and want to play games give this place a go! read more

This was a pretty solid escape room. I've done a handful of these across Florida and while this wasn't my favorite it was on the upper end. We chose the easiest room since our party had beginners, but unfortunately weren't able to finish. Some of the puzzles for me felt more like a tedious chore than it did problem solving. For example a crossword puzzle doesn't really excite me when I'm trying to escape a room. However it did have a few unique and fun elements that I've not experienced. The theme design was also good enough to make me feel immersed. Overall if the price was lower ($35 a person on a weekend). Then I would definitely recommend it, but otherwise I'd only recommend it if you're not worried about overspending on what is essentially a 1 hour activity. This establishment is a little hard to find visually, but the GPS takes you right to the correct location. Parking is available in a lot behind it. I did the Asylum escape room with three other friends. It was an insanely good room thematically and quite difficult (less than 5% success rate). Justin was an absolutely fantastic host and game master. I would HIGHLY recommend doing this escape room. It's cheaper during the week and they do have student discounts available. read more

This was an awesome, awesome thing to do with a group of friends. I'm not much for playing games but this was a lot of fun. Even though we did not escape (we were close!!') we had so much fun. It was easy making reservations and not crowded. We had five people in our group and that was about the max you would want to play, even though the rooms can hold eight that would be too many cooks in the pot. The coordinator and clue giver (Gio) was good. He kept the game moving. But the group of people you play with is key to how much fun your going to have. The game gets intense at times. This escape room was a lot of fun! We did the asylum room, and we technically didn't escape but we were only two clues away from escaping. The employees were very friendly and did a great job explaining and encouraging without ruining the mystery. There are three rooms total with another room coming soon. The employees told us afterwards that they will occasionally switch up the rooms to keep everything new and exciting. They also offer UF student and employe discounts! This place was so much fun, the games are cool but a little difficult and should be played with large groups of 6 or more. The worker were very nice and let us play all three of the escape rooms. Out of all the rooms, my favorite was the asylum or the 1600. The asylum was a bit scary and it sorta gave me a headache in the end but still fun. The 1600 was also fun but less hard. The person that was our game moderator was awful. She was doing two rooms and did not pay any attention to us!!! I thought we were doing well but come to find out not so much. I don't think they have any idea how to run a business. The American Eacape games in Orlando was soooo much better. I suggest driving there! For sure. We've done 60+ escape rooms, and stopped by for Pandemic and Asylum while in Gainesville. Overall it was a good time! There was interesting variety to the puzzles and the staff was really friendly and helpful. Thought it was slightly expensive compared to other rooms we've been to. Also, a couple of props were finicky/broken which detracted slightly from the experience. Nonetheless, I'd recommend giving it a shot if you get a chance. If you're picking one, Asylum has superior set design and immersion, though it's also definitely more challenging. I'd recommend it for more experienced groups or for groups who are into the horror component. Otherwise, for novices Pandemic might be more appealing. (I think they also have another room which is even more beginner friendly, but we didn't do it.) read more

America's Escape Game is superb!! I had a large group event booked one evening for two hours, and the employees and owners could not have been sweeter. They catered to everything we needed and truly went above and beyond anything I was expecting. The rooms are well done, the decorations are clean, and the puzzles are unique. My group got out of asylum with barely any time to spare, and we loved every second of it. And we got a T-shirt since we got out! We had so much fun and can't wait to go back! read more
