I did favor certain fields because after all, it's Florida... fight in the shade whenever possible. They have a very generous military discount in a few occasions each month, but prices are very reasonable even if you don't qualify for those. They split entrance fees into 2 sessions, 9-1 or 2-6. Personally, I'd like an all day option woth a significant discount rather then buying 2 sessions. But in this heat, 1 session is probably enough. Rentals are ok. Hoppers are good. Barrels are short. Ammo cost is incredible. I remember paying $80 in Colorado a decade ago. So anything cheaper then that is really good. I also only had 3 or 4 balls break in the barrel. The games we played were all single elimination. This definitely promotes more cautious play..but there is so much room for improvement here. I've played reincarnation, president, gun game, alamo... you name it. And... reincarnation forces more firing which means more profit and less down time for shooters. Win win.. For paintballers, I recommend and hope they add some creativity. For non paintballers, it's fun and safe but I recommend you come out on a day that isn't 80 degrees. It's hot. Trees block breeze. Shade is sporadic. And you want gloves, pants, boots, neck guard, and long sleeve shirt. It's hot. If you are worried about it hurting... it can hurt for sure. Most painful areas are neck and hands so gloves are a must. Neck gets hit infrequently so maybe a scarf or something. If you do a short sleeve shirt and then a long sleeve on top, that takes most of the bite away from being shot. You get the idea..

First of all, how have I never heard of this course? While it is quite the drive from home, it was worth the trip to play a course none of our foursome have played. Starter was friendly and informative. Course had NO HOUSES on it which is an anomaly in Jacksonville. It was close to what I think is the Fernandina airport - we saw some folks parachuting - but tree lined fairways and openness was a pleasant backdrop for our day. Tee boxes were maybe an 8 out of 10 - some needed some work but trees can have an effect with how the sun hits them so there is only so much that can be done. Fairways were well maintained and greens were consistent on every hole. If you're off the fairway, you will be penalized. Not a lot of room in the rough then past that, and your ball is gone - either in a creek or just a drop off in the woods. I lost a sleeve which is pretty good considering not ever having played here. Maybe that's why my shots taken were less risky. They even had a little TPC-esque 17th island hole almost - short but all water carry to the green. We will definitely be back - and soon.

They had just built an outdoor bar area right before our wedding (amazing!) and driving up to the venue itself is an experience - beautiful grounds and animals, even a zebra! Jenn Mezera (manager) is phenomenal - a true professional. She felt like one of our family members. She has seen it all and offers great advice and assistance to help make your day go off without a hitch. There was space outside for a ceremony right by the water. Once the sun set, the outside fire pit was was spectacular as the guests enjoyed the open bar and floating hors d'oeuvres. Inside, there was an upstairs bride and groom room and a central sitting area. Bathrooms were clean (though I wish they had electrical outlets!). The layout for a buffet style dinner left plenty of room enough for the ~200 guests without sacrificing any space for a dance floor. Tip- warm your cake baker that it may be a slightly bumpy drive in when they deliver the cake!
