Quality food with creative flair. The burger options were phenominal! Personable service. It is a pub environment and felt much like a bar. However the food options excelled for a bar! Don't let looks fool you. Did I mention the burgers? I was in heaven with my BREAKFAST BURGER! It is an epic burger topped with an egg, ham, sausage and bacon packed between two pieces of French toast. It comes with a side of syrup. So, so good, and not something you will find elsewhere. I opted for the SWEET POTATO FRIES as my side which was perfect pairing with the syrup laden burger goodness!!! Another person at the table ordered the SCALLOPS which were on special. They were good. This is a pub where you can get standard fare such as burgers or fancier options such as scallops! They were a little under staffed. Our bar tender also was the waiter for tables in the bar room. Overpriced McDonald's. Pretty much the only way to describe this place. They want to overcharge but cannot hire enough staff to serve the patrons quickly or efficiently. The boneless wings are literally the same chicken McNuggets you can get at McDonald's. There are better places in Camden County; don't waste your time. read more

The gut reaction to leave as the smell of a dorm after party from college wafted into my nose and sent me into a knee jerk reaction of trying to find or buy as many cleaning products as I could still has not left my body. My feet sticking to the floor and the gluten smell of stale beer should have been the warning sign. My wife sharing the predatory safe vibe of the bathroom is also confirmation this place needs a new owner or one that has to be more engaged. Server/bartender was nice - the only highlight. Over cooked onion rings for the win at an up charge cost. Fish that was mush. The cure for this place is two Imodium And a salad. Pretty good pick for a stop off of 95. The food was reasonable and very good. 5 stars for the food. I had a large Greek Salad. The dressing was excellent. My husband got a Philly and they prepared it well. He gets raw onions instead of grilled onions and peppers. His sandwich was excellent. I loved the Cole slaw but him not as much because it had less mayo. The waitress was efficient. It was a little chilly and the music from a nearby speaker caused us to change seats. There was another,very nice looking, room but it was closed. Probably because it was Memorial Day weekend and there were several tables of people outside. The entryway and bathrooms could have been cleaner but there were very nice flowers at the entrance. When I checked in on Yelp I received a 10% off coupon. A couple dollars is a couple dollars! Good food and great service at this dive bar! I've been here a few times for drinks, so this was my first time having a meal here and it did not disappoint. It seems like a spot locals love, especially for their themed nights: karaoke, bingo, trivia, etc. The first time I came here was over a year ago, during a fun karaoke night. I got a couple shots and cocktails which were strong and affordable. This time around I was greeted right away with a friendly smile and hello. It's self-seating and there's two sides to choose from, both having a bar section. They have a pretty good selection of food for a dive bar. The atmosphere is very casual. There are some tvs and a juke box. Some of the paint needs touching up in the entrance hallway, but the place is clean and comfortable. Here's what we ordered: -Lemon pepper pork rinds with queso dip: Really tasty! They were crispy and airy. The queso dip was warm and delicious. Great combo. -BYOBurger: Patty was cooked perfectly and tasted great! The buns were soft, and the veggies and pickle were fresh. I recommend adding cheese (extra charge). Hearty burger! The fries could have been crispier; they were average. -Mussels: Cooked perfectly, but the sauce could've used more garlic flavor. Plated really well and the side toast was yummy. -Chicken Finger Plate: Fried really well, and ranch dipping sauce was delicious. -Greek Salad: Fresh and flavorful! Really good! Our server Seaonna was awesome. Not only was she super friendly, but she also made small-talk and made sure to ask about refills. I'd definitely come back here for drinks and food again. Decided to take the wife here for a Friday night date night. We both got the filet special with lump crab meat, mashed potatoes and asparagus. I got my usual mussels appetizer and my wife got the fried mushrooms. Delicious as always. Food was out quick, and steak was cooked perfectly. We were so disappointed with the hotel we were staying at; this place was a God-send. They have outdoor seating and welcome pets. We took our Golden Retriever and us and had a very nice meal. I read some reviews and people kept mentioning 'dive bar' - dang, people! I don't know what yall are used to (the Ritz Carlton??) but this is NOT a dive. It is a NEIGHBORHOOD bar - at its best. I was traumatized recently by Hurricane Helene (admittedly just the no-electricity- or-water aspect of it, but it was getting on my last nerve), so I checked into a hotel in Kingsland, got showered (thank goodness!), and then I guess I wanted some human interaction so I found Outerbanks on Yelp, which was shoutin' distance from my hotel. This place was exactly what I needed. I found a seat at the bar and then started talking to everyone. It was great. I met the owner, who is really fun, and pretty much everyone else squeezed into the bar area. I so enjoyed myself. I didn't eat so can't comment on the food but it looked good. The bartender was really nice and on top of everyone's orders, and the place was clean and the decor was tasteful. The only negative was they were out of just about every draft beer, but with the hurricane underfoot, who's complaining?? I loved that it's a real melting pot of everyone. We went pretty early for dinner so there were only a few people in the place. This can be a worrisome indication of what the experience could be but that was not the case for this restaurant! The service was excellent and the food was really good! We started with chips, salsa, and cheese dip. The chips were hot and tasted fresh and the cheese dip was thick with just the right amount of heat. Only down side was the salsa seemed to be poured out of a jar. For dinner we had the grilled chicken Greek salad. It was very good. The chicken was seasoned well and was warm, the salad was fresh and crispy, and the dressing was tangy with chunks of feta cheese. The beer selection was decent and the beer was cold. There are not many tables but the place is a little small so it did no seem crowded with too many pieces of furniture. This was our third visit to the Outerbanks Bar. The drinks are reasonable and the tacos are outstanding. They come with chips , salsa and cheese. Nice touch. The waitstaff has been friendly and service very prompt. However, it is a dive bar and there is no pretense. We have only eaten in the bar and find it a lively, friendly atmosphere. But, once again, it is a dive bar. Albeit a four star dive bar but a dive bar none the less. To add to the eclectic ambiance of this establishment on our way out we walked through the dining room only to find a "drag queen" performing splayed out on the pool table. Stopped in at OBX on a Friday night to grab a drink and watch a little basketball. The bar is split up into a smoking and non-smoking side. There's a pool table, dartboard, and it looks like they set up for cornhole on the patio when it's not raining. The bar tenders were nice and seemed to know most of the customers. They have a food menu and kitchen but I didn't try anything. Overall I enjoyed it, and would come back if in town again. read more

The Outerbanks is a nice eating establishment, par on course for the area. The food was served Hot! Great. I started the order with Lumpia, three for $8.00 (I was hoping for something special at this price). The lumpia arrived as three small lumpia, disappointing of $8.00. Taste was very mild, my buddys wife makes lumpia, it's good. The daughter ordered the Shrimp Basket, 9 jumbo fried shrimp. Very good. The wife ordered Shrimp Tacos, again a very good meal. My meal was 10 Jerk Chicken wings and a side of fries. Well I did like the wings overall but the Jerk Chicken flavor was more like a Cajun Dry Rub. So I will never ask for that flavor again, a bit of a let down because it wasn't what I wanted, but it was still good. But as I said, food was hot and overall taste was very good. I wouldn't recommend the Lumpia. Price: yes, everyone wants to know how much money you will spend. I'd have to say that the price is on par with any lower cost place. Less than $3.00 per drink, meals about $14-18 each. My bill was about $70 for 3 people. I will go back and try a different meal to see how the other items are. Hot food is a big deal to me, I dislike warm food. Oh, last comment, the glasses are Styrofoam or plastic Dixie type cups, it's a bit low budget but maybe they need to cut some costs to stay in business and as I said, The food is pretty good. Had heard a lot of raves on this place. Maybe they were drunk? The food is just sub par. My shrimp was not good. Neither was my wifes shrimp tacos. The chips that come with the meals were stale. Do not spend the extra money on the queso it was bad as well. My wifes drink tasted off and the cup smelled of cleaner! We live here and Kingsland and decided to give this place a shot. What a HUGE waste of $65. I ordered my son a Grilled Cheese sandwich with fries. It came with the cheese melted to the UNDERSIDE (the part that's supposed to sit on your plate) of a sesame seed hamburger bun. The top was placed upside down on top of the cheese, so when I lifted it off to right it, half the cheese went with it. Don't know if they ran out of regular bread, but that was unacceptable. I ordered the Crab Stuffed Lobster...it was no good. The Lobster was over-cooked, which makes it the exact same consistency of rubber (I'm a New Englander, I KNOW how Lobster is supposed to taste). The stuffing was just ok...not bad, but not great. My husband ordered the Shrimp Gumbo...he couldn't even finish it it was so bad. It was very bland and, once again, the shrimp was overcooked. The ONLY good thing about the food were the rolls served before we ate...they were wonderful. However not quite worth $65. Service was sub-par. We waited in the foyer to be seated for over 5 minutes before someone showed up huffing and puffing about how the greeter wasn't doing her job. Our waiter was nice, but distracted. The place was hardly full, so not sure what the problem was. As for decor...eh. I don't really pay much attention to that. It all comes down to the food, and it was just terrible.
