Ruby Beach Brewing Company is located in downtown Jacksonville across from Yates Municipal building. It is reasonable paid parking, about $2 and hour. Inside is a little tight, but it is an old building with naked bricks, historic decor, a good sized bar and tables inside. Outside is a deck with covered tables, another area for corn hole and a food truck which has all the major bar food groups including churros. Sean was my beertender and he really was the best. They have a policy of holding your card for tabs which I really hate, but he made me feel comfortable about leaving my life in his hands. When I first walked in on a weekday during happy hour, it was pretty light, but around 4:30p the place started filling up. Happy hour is Monday - Friday until 6pm and they have 18 taps which qualify for happy hour. Plus they had 3 guest taps, both ciders. Ruby Beach has a mug club, it is about $80 for the year. You get a free beer on Tuesday as well as your own numbered mug. It is limited. So exclusive in fact that they do a raffle every August. The BEER: Crown Jewel Belgian Tripel 11.4% ABV... easy drinking, not boozy and quite delicious, this one will sneak up on you Return of the Mac Daddy Pale Ale 5.5% ABV... the description is "rye pale ale hopped with Amarillo. On the first sip I thought one note, but boy was I wrong. As it warms it has layers. And in my opinion the layers are all good, like a good lasagna. Over the Ditch 15.0 NEIPA 6% ABV... if I was in front of a firing and they gave me a last request, I might choose this beer. Sweet grapefruit and stars... love this! Grit & Glow Lager 5.2% ABV... if you have ever smelled fabuloso that is what I first smelled when I put the beer to my lips, the beer itself is just as perfumey, not for me... but if you like those type of flavors in beer, you might like this one Rosemary In the Rye Pale Ale 5.5% ABV... all day crushable pale ale, with a slight hint of rosemary, basically the Mac Daddy plus rosemary O'Ruby's Irish Stout 5.5% ABV... smooth coffee with hints of toffee, so ver crushable, but it is way better warm Didn't get to try the food on this visit, but on a side note... the bathrooms are both unisex and CLEAN. Great food! The cheese curds were large, cheesy, fried perfectly, and a very large portion. The double burger with bacon was phenomenal. Soft bun, crisp smashed burger, and fresh toppings. The loaded tots with pork was amazing as well. Fried tots and healthy portion of smoked pork hit the spot. The cherry on top was the prices. Best prices i have ever seen in Jax for a food truck. As my life's work is to review brewpubs, I'll review this one. I was in Jax last week and stopped here. Beer was pretty solid and they had a very good variety on the board. Also it was "free beer Friday" or something to that effect, if you bought an item from the food cart outside, you received a ticket for a free beer. I can't go 5 stars here, but a solid 4 stars seems about right. read more

Decent little brewery not too far from the stadium (about a 15-20 minute walk... maybe longer if you're a Jets fan doing the walk of shame after whatever the hell that performance was yesterday...) Nice selection of options on tap. Some seating inside and a big patio area that had the NFL games playing. The electrolyte lime beer or whatever it was called was kinda unique, but didn't leave me feeling hungover so there's that! read more

All of the beers here are great. Perfect spot before a show at the Florida theatre. They regularly have a food truck out back by their beautiful outdoor area with plenty of seating and sun cover from the buildings, very unique outdoor area. Decent selection of beers. Oddly, we were served beer in clear plastic cups while some other people were offered beer in actual glasses. There was a pop-up shop/EDM sort of event the day we stopped by. It was a little chilly outside. There were patio heaters, but they were not on. There's a food truck that's near the outside patio. They served up some decent cheese curds. The BBQ pulled pork sandwich was a little watery. Food was kind of pricey. Beer prices were decent though. read more

I love coming here with friends. There are lots of tables inside and outside. They typically have a lot of great beer selections, liquor slushies, and some cocktails which is great because we don't all like the same drinks! They don't have food, I'll be honest I don't know if they have a food truck that comes as they used to but I believe at least that one is no longer there! We came here for a quick drink or two before a show at the Florida theater and overall had a lovely experience. The outdoor seating area is wonderful especially now with the great weather. It's tucked away on the side of the building. The service was good but nothing to necessarily write home about - typical average counter service at a brewery. I had the Birra Della Vita - and Italian Pilsner. I am generally a big fan of pilsners and this one was nearing excellent with balanced, crisp flavors. A subtle bitterness on a malty backbone made for a beer perfect for a summer afternoon. My friend had the American Garage, which is an IPA. Not my favorite type of beer, but it was enjoyable when I tried it! She is an IPA person and rated it highly. They do not serve food but they usually have a food truck out there, which I will review in its own post. The only "bother" I had here is not fault of their own but of course, downtown parking is always a pain. Highly recommend this spot for a pre or post show drink if you're seeing something at the Florida theater. Then you only have to part once. It's very walkable between the two places. read more

Great spot to hangout with friends and have a libation or two. The establishment has a both green space for outside activities and dining as they are very animal friendly. The green area allows room to roam and also another area closer to the entrance allows more casual outside seating. Both areas have heat lamps and fireplaces to keep you warm on chilly days/evenings. The inside is nicely arranged with plenty of beer selections. The two cider beers I tried where simply thirst quenching. There are tvs to watch the games, both table and bar seating. Plenty of street parking and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely a cool place to meet up and enjoy. read more

I visited Ruby Beach Brewing for the first time in September. I met a friend for dinner and a drink before an event close by. I found street parking on the same block. Don't forget to use the parking app or face getting a ticket. I loved the vibe of the bar, and there was a huge patio too. We ate at the Hungry Owl food truck parked outside. We brought it back inside and ate. The decor was pretty cool with exposed brick and a nice bar, and several tables. Check in on Yelp and get a discounted draft beer. Pretty tasty! Great first experience at Ruby Beach! My friend works next door and recommended we go one Friday night. She is a big fan, and I can see why. What a cute neighborhood bar in the middle of Downtown. I'm not a huge beer drinker, but loved the tasting flight. I picked sours and a stout and enjoyed all 4. The pomegranate one was my favorite fruity one, but out of all 4 the stout was my #1! The workers were friendly and prices were reasonable. It was super loud inside because a Jags preseason game was on, but that's to be expected. It was pouring so we couldn't use the outdoor space, but it is much bigger than the actual inside of the bar. We will definitely be back. read more

My best friend and I came by on 12/13/2025 shortly after 1PM to enjoy a couple beverages after our bike ride. The Bartender, a short olive completion guy with a beard made eye contact with us as we were walking in and sat down. He was busy making drinks so we waited, we waited six minutes for him to finish. Keep in mind we are watching him and waiting for at least to acknowledge us, a simple "Hi, I'll be right with you" would of went a long way. Buy no, he finished making the drinks, look right over us to the people sitting next to us and asked them if they were good (their drinks were half full) and glazed over us again and walked away. I don't understand why we were ignored, even the other guy noticed next to me. I was really looking forward to trying this place out but we left after no service. read more

We were taking a walk around downtown Jacksonville and ran across Ruby Beach. I remembered how much I loved them when the were in Jacksonville Beach. Just had to go in. The place was pretty busy but not many bar sitters so we bellied up. Bartenders were behind the bar but it was like we were invisible. They were chatting with each other and quick to service those that came from table to service bar. Finally we were served. I really do like their beer and the place is amazing! Very cool venue with fantastic staff! I inquired about a beer and was immediately offered a tasting. So nice. I enjoyed the Rocko's Modern IPA which has a touch of Mandarin Orange. I was here celebrating a friends birthday. We all brought "pot luck" dishes and were set up to party outside. The weather was extremely cold and another party was going on. The venue had the tall warm heaters going for us. Thank you so much. There was a food truck on site as well. There were offerings besides craft beer. Ciders we're on tap as well as cocktails. But my main attraction is the beautiful old building and the beers. I am excited to go back and enjoy a few more. read more

This brewery is located downtown Jacksonville. Small interior, but have an outside beer garden, which doubles the size of the place. They don't serve food, but there's usually a food truck parked adjacent to the premises. This was my first visit so I chose to go with the flight so that I could sample some of their different styles. The flight is a bit expensive at $12 with four 4 ounce pours, which equates to a $12 pint. Overall, I found these four beers very average tasting with no real stand outs. First off, I have to say that location is everything. The fact that it's across the street from the Tax Collectors Office is perfect. If I ever have to this office I'm definitely stopping by if they're open. I came here for a friend's retirement/birthday party over the weekend. I completely miscalculated how cold it would be downtown and the party was outside on the lawn area in between buildings, but luckily they had portable heaters for us. I braved the cold for as long as I could and decided to go back inside to hang out at the bar with friends. I had three drinks there: the Congaree and Penn Gallberry Cider, the Florida Marg, and the Passionfruit Mead. Yes, I had the iced Marg while complaining about how cold it was but I was much warmer inside so I went for it. Out of the three, I think the mead was my favorite. I've been a long-term customer of Ruby Beach brewing recently I had a terrible experience. One of the bartenders who had brown hair was wearing a black shirt and denim jeans was very rude to me. How was the only person at the bar and she refused to acknowledge me and when I adopted for my check She looked at me and asked for my card typically the check is presented first. Even after a few other guests came in she was in the corner on her phone. I'm a long time patron of this place but before I come back the need to train their staff on customer Service. read more

What took me so long to find this place? It's perfectly located so now I have somewhere to go when I go to the Florida theater. They not only offer a great variety of their own brewed beers but they offer the best of 2 worlds! Cocktails too..real ones. They have a dual license and are ready for great events with a awesome patio and court and even have a second floor I hear for your party needs. My friend and I stopped by after a event and it was my 1st time. The bartender was awesome he made me some great drinks and was really pleasant and very good conversationalist. This past Monday I held an event for Microsoft Philanthropies at Ruby Beach. The communication leading to the event was smooth and clear. I had space waiting for me when I arrived. I purchased drink tickets for my attendee's ahead of time. I was also able to bring in pizza from the Pizza Cave for my attendees. Casey who served my guests was very professional and courteous.
