All of the beers here are great. Perfect spot before a show at the Florida theatre. They regularly have a food truck out back by their beautiful outdoor area with plenty of seating and sun cover from the buildings, very unique outdoor area. Bartenders Sean and Casey are awesome and friendly.

Always a vibe at Ruby Beach Brewing. Great events, fun ambiance, and super friendly staff. Service is solid every time. The drinks never disappoint.

New brewer, new brews! Ruby Beach has risen to my favorite Jax Brewery. Their new brewer (Wes) has raised the bar & gives us new distinctive beers on a regular basis. Ruby has a great downtown location & their connection with the Hungry Owl food truck puts them over the top!

Decent selection of beers. Oddly, we were served beer in clear plastic cups while some other people were offered beer in actual glasses. There was a pop-up shop/EDM sort of event the day we stopped by. It was a little chilly outside. There were patio heaters, but they were not on. There's a food truck that's near the outside patio. They served up some decent cheese curds. The BBQ pulled pork sandwich was a little watery. Food was kind of pricey. Beer prices were decent though.

Love this brewery! Always a wide selection of beer. Bartenders are great and the food truck isn't bad either.

Did a candle class here and the place is super cute. Lots of selection for drinks had a cider. They had full bar and some slushiest too. The courtyard is great and would be perfect on a warm day. Our clsss was upstairs in the event space. Nice and open and lots of room. I would def come back again.

50 stars for the service and 50 for the drinks! I opted for a peach cider and it was so smooth and tasty! The size of the glass was such a bonus too! The service was friendly and inviting and the atmosphere was so pleasant. Took a candle making class upstairs and it was the best experience. What a perfect night out! I can't wait to go back!

Love this place. We come here often for the great beers, and chill vibes. Their food truck is also delicious. Came last night to watch the football game and place was packed and Sean did an awesome job of taking care of us all. Place is in downtown but the parking is usually easy even on the weekends.

We came here for a quick drink or two before a show at the Florida theater and overall had a lovely experience. The outdoor seating area is wonderful especially now with the great weather. It's tucked away on the side of the building. The service was good but nothing to necessarily write home about - typical average counter service at a brewery. I had the Birra Della Vita - and Italian Pilsner. I am generally a big fan of pilsners and this one was nearing excellent with balanced, crisp flavors. A subtle bitterness on a malty backbone made for a beer perfect for a summer afternoon. My friend had the American Garage, which is an IPA. Not my favorite type of beer, but it was enjoyable when I tried it! She is an IPA person and rated it highly. They do not serve food but they usually have a food truck out there, which I will review in its own post. The only "bother" I had here is not fault of their own but of course, downtown parking is always a pain. Highly recommend this spot for a pre or post show drink if you're seeing something at the Florida theater. Then you only have to part once. It's very walkable between the two places.

Great spot to hangout with friends and have a libation or two. The establishment has a both green space for outside activities and dining as they are very animal friendly. The green area allows room to roam and also another area closer to the entrance allows more casual outside seating. Both areas have heat lamps and fireplaces to keep you warm on chilly days/evenings. The inside is nicely arranged with plenty of beer selections. The two cider beers I tried where simply thirst quenching. There are tvs to watch the games, both table and bar seating. Plenty of street parking and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely a cool place to meet up and enjoy.

The beers go down easily at Ruby Beach in downtown Jacksonville, Florida.

This is one of our "go-to" stops when in the downtown Jacksonville, Florida area. If you're going to Florida Theater, it's just a short walk down Forsyth and well worth the stop before any show. They have some awesome beers and a great outdoor area...and a food truck if you need some quick bites. It's perfect which is why the beers go down so easily!!! #904

I visited Ruby Beach Brewing for the first time in September. I met a friend for dinner and a drink before an event close by. I found street parking on the same block. Don't forget to use the parking app or face getting a ticket. I loved the vibe of the bar, and there was a huge patio too. We ate at the Hungry Owl food truck parked outside. We brought it back inside and ate. The decor was pretty cool with exposed brick and a nice bar, and several tables. Check in on Yelp and get a discounted draft beer. Pretty tasty! I will absolutely come back for the vibe and the beer!

I was thinking the outside looks like they made it with Lego, but Lego from an artisan. I especially love that they have Belgians on tap in Florida, where Belgians are few and far between. The Belgians here, including the hefeweizen were made with love. Before I forget, shouts out to Jeff for answering all my eclectic questions, and being a genuinely all around professional. Love your energy bro, low key and inviting, an authentically good person. The BEER: Weizen Wolf hefeweizen 6% ABV... this is the hefe I remember from Germany, banana and clove goodness BPA Belgian Pale Ale 5.5% ABV... like a party in my mouth, perfectly balanced and so very crushable Hostile Wit-Ness Belgian Wit 4 5% ABV... not what I expected, it has floral notes, is light like jasmine tea with a kiss instead of a bite at the end. And once it gets warmer it opens into something wonderful. St Anthony's Fire Rye Barleywine 10.8% ABV... slightly boozy, a semi sweet, with a delicious finish. This one is one and done. A full pour of this will send you home in an Uber. Southbank Hazy IPA 6.5% ABV... not a basic hazy, some citrus and when it warms up it is so very wonderful I didn't spend much time at Aardworf Brewing Company, but the time I spent was fantastic. My friend ordered us the Pork Belly Kimchi Fries, I got us an order of the Cheese Curds, and for my entree I got an order of the Asian Sticky Wings. I probably would have never ordered the kimchi fries on my own. Sometimes kimchi can be fickle and really hit or miss. It was definitely a hit here. More on the sweet and tangy side but worked really well. Fries seasoned perfectly, and the pork belly cubed and cooked to perfection. Out of all of the times I've been to Wicked Barley, these fries have to be one of the best items I've had from there. Cheese curds were pretty basic. Tasted great, but nothing to write home about. If you like Cheese curds, you'll enjoy theirs. I originally had my eye on the jerk chicken wings and I was warned by the waitress and my friend that they are REALLY hot. Jerk chicken is generally one of those thats right on the borderline of too hot for me. To give you an idea, if you're familiar with Butthutt BBQ's jerk chicken, theirs is as far as I can go for spice level. So I switched it up to be safe, and I am glad I did. Sweet and sticky, these had really great flavor inside and out. Would definitely get these again in the future. Brought a couple home to the hubby and he seemed to enjoy them too, and he normally doesn't like, what he refers to as, "sweet meat". I had three different beers in my favorite tasting style, sour. I had the PB&J sour, the mango sour, and the orange cream sour. The orange cream was my favorite of the 3. We enjoyed the sounds of the band Splittone in the background and enjoyed the whole vibe of our meal. I'm hoping to visit again on a future weekend and possibly bringing one of my pups along with me since they are dog friendly.

Of course, with the long drive...ya gotta limit it. But it's worth it for anything on the menu. I don't know where to start food-wise, I am trying to eat my way around the menu. The gator tail and fish dip are two of my favorites for small bites/appetizers. The Elk burger, the Taphouse burger, and the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich are always amazing....and then there's the cole slaw...yummy! Delicious food, and they have more than just sandwiches.
