We had a service contract with "Go Green Express" and we charged approx. $25 monthly. This was for routine maintenance every year before kicking on the furnace for the season. We were with them for 5 years. It was funny how EVERY SINGLE YEAR when they came out to inspect the furnace, there was SOME kind of major issue that "needed to be addressed". And every year we went along with what they said and were charged a substantial fee. That's kind of like taking your car to a mechanic and they tell you that you need a new Johnson rod (fictitious part) so you just agree and pay them to do it. This is EXACTLY what GO Green Express does. That aside, this year I went with a new HVAC contractor and he does a full-service maintenance of my furnace. He happened to discover that Go Green cut the wire to the flu damper. So my damper was permanently left open! So not only did one of the techs DO it but every tech thereafter either missed it or disregarded it. Simply stated, this company is DISHONEST. Their pricing is predatory and their professional recommendations CANNOT be trusted. We had a Navien unit installed by GoGreen for our elderly parents in 2017 (as recommended by Go Green). They advised that the system would be the most cost effective and efficient. One year after the install we were advised to do an antifreeze treatment ($2,200) and then subsequently, to have a water sanitizer installed for $5,000. While we did follow through with the antifreeze treatment we declined the water sanitizer. Now, at our most recent annual check up in 2020-we were told that the "system needs major repairs"-so much that the issues could not be told to me over the phone and an additional "service" appt (not covered by the service plan) was now needed. In addition, the annual tune up "could not be performed" due to the status of the system (again- even though the issues were not be defined to me) *see pic below. Finding it ironic that this much service would be needed for a system that was less than three years old, we had another HVAC company- who had much more reputable reviews come to do the tune up. The tune up was completed with no problems and we were advised that the system is in good working condition *see pic below. When I asked about the recommendations, from Go Green they advised that unfortunately many HVAC techs must sell services in order to get commission and that the recommendations were not at all needed. I also read other negative reviews which mentioned the same themes where the sanitizer was being recommended. I find that incredibly disappointing and wonder how much money, time and stress we could have saved by going with a different company from the beginning. I hope that this honest and detailed review can provide forewarning for other who are considering hiring Go Green for their HVAC needs. We left Go Green a long time ago but unfortunately right before we are moving to Missouri we had to deal with their horrible service one more time. Wappingers Falls inspectors came in to check our Central Air and we were fined because this company installed indoor wiring to the unit that sits outside. The town inspector was furious and said that is why Go Green does not use permits because they know the town won't pass their work. They cut corners. They overcharge. They are constantly late for appointments or do not show up at all. Their service contracts are useless as they don't honor them. RUN! We spent $14k on a new furnace and heat pump 2 years ago and we have YET to have it working correctly after too many service calls to count. Today we came back to an indoor temp of 93 (thermostat set at 75) after leaving to run errands for a few hours. The system should blow cold air, it continues to blow HOT air on the 'cool' setting. It's incredibly inconvenient when you have a 13 Month old! Never in my life have I felt more ripped off. Tried charging us over $600 to replace the seal on a toilet. Turns out the flange was cracked and quoted me $1200 to replace the $12 in parts. I did it myself. My 97 year old father called this company (who he has used many times in the past) because he had a slow drip in his shower. I won't get into the nitty-gritty details, but they ended up charging him over $12,000 to repair a leak (first they said it would be X amount. Then they added a few more thousand... then added a few more thousand, finally totally over $12,000). AND... they left the shower unusable -- it's now over a year later and my father still has a shower that he cannot use. Among the numerous charges were TWO 'never-write-a-check-again' warranties -- at a charge of several thousand dollars -- both warranties cover a yearly check of all of his plumbing. So... 1) why would he need TWO warranties? and 2) obviously we will not let this company set foot on his property again, so they are worthless to him. Besides the $12,000+, this company also sent over another company who charged him about $9000 (the attorney general was able to recover most of those funds). My 97 year old father is very hard of hearing and thought that each time his credit card was charged, that was the final charge -- his credit card was charged multiple times over several months. The technician told me that it will cost me $ 956.00 to replace the thermostat. I went to Home Depot and bought one Thermostat for $60.00. I did the job myself in 10 minutes. But he arrived on time again and the work was completed quickly and efficiently My only concern was that I thought the prices were a bit high. But we are happy with the faucet and with Jason's work. When I first called them , they were able to get a tech out to us right away and fix our issue without too much if a fuss. We were happy with GoGreenExpress so far. A month later our furnace went out. I called them again , the tech came out and got us back up and running and he was paid. Then the furnace stopped running that same night. I called Go Green again- next day (i was at work) the tech told my husband we needed a new $20k furnace. We declined a new furnace unit, but still owed $ for the service call and he was paid that same day. What I have a problem with is that They don't tell you that they keep your credit card on file and a year later after they were paid , they attempted to charge our bank card again without notice that they were doing this! We got a call from our bank because of the amount. I am 78 years old and my review from yesterday was not approved by yelp - I do not understand why it is at the bottom of their page with 46 additional negative reviews. I am posting the same review again about this scam and questionable company. We had 3 new Fujitsu heat/ac units installed in August by our plumber / installer He was hospitalized right after the installation and is still not out. We had trouble getting 2 of the units to operate. Diagnosed by a friend who was visiting as needing Freon. Called Fujitsu for help and they gave me a list of ELITE INSTALLERS, Go Green being at the top of the list I called them. The young lady listened to my problem and told me there was a $129 service charge to come to the home, which I thought was very reasonable. 2 of their "techs" showed up and I signed for the $129 service. They took a photo of the SN tags, looked at the units through the vent with a flashlight and told me it would be $600 to diagnose the units, including checking the wiring connections, the condensers and the Freon - all for the "bargain" price of $600. They went outside, put a gauge on the units came back in 15 minutes later and said they need Freon and they had to check for leaks - for the "bargain" price of $6300. I called their office and was told by a manager that they do not charge by the hour just a general fee, the same for all customers, he was going to reduce the fee to $4300. INSANE ! I had a GGEHS maintenance agreement and my furnace was acting up. We called them to get someone to take a look at it. They started off saying there was an additional $49 service fee plus any parts and labor. Well the technician was here and determined that the flame sensor was bad. We had them replace it and were handed a bill. The bill lists the service charge of $49, then the flame sensor at $430.27, then a diagnosis fee of $381.67, then tax at $34.96. They then discounted the $430.27 cost of the sensor, for whopping total of $465.23 The part, which is readily available, cost about $25+/- and the technician was here for less than an hour. To make matters worse I googled my furnace's issues and got the same answer as the tech, got the part prices and availability, and watched videos on how easy the part was to change. The technicians that come into your home are knowledgeable and honest. But the administration and the owner of the company are very unresponsive. I have been having problems with my split mini system since it was installed. First it was a leaking coolant line. Then it was a shoddy salesman who promised me thousands of dollars of rebates that I never received. One unit was not installed properly and they had to come back to move it higher on the wall so that it would drain properly and I wouldn't have water running down my wall. They wanted to charge me a diagnostic fee and a call out fee because they did not do the job properly the 1st time. If they had done their job the correctly and installed correctly, I would never have had to have them come out to my home. I feel that I shouldn't have to pay for their mistake. This is no way to do business. They should have done the job correctly the 1st time and then I would be leaving a 5 star review. But instead, I have to leave a one star review. I had them come out last summer (2019) and charge me $1200 for something I could have done myself for $40 once I researched it. Saviors that is what I have to say. I called 4 other contractors and no response Go Green picked up and had a tech over. The tech Phil G was courteous and helpful and did the job. He cleared out the roots and we have Now we can live like humans again. I highly recommend Go Green Express and they do financing if you are in a bind. This is a after the fact response they gave me a over the moon price to repair my sewer line. I went and finally had 3 other plumbers and an excavating company call back and the cost was half to 1/3 of there price. Shop around if you need to get some outside pipes changed check with your town as most of them do not require a licensed plumber. You can actually use a reputable excavation company. They still need to do mark outs and an emergency dig call can be made. I am also an owner of 3 Bio Clean that cost me $150.00 that I do not need that they sold to me. I did my homework and found out they were called something else that is all I am saying no slandering just do your homework because before I even had the outside work I was down $1500 on just snaking and minor root removal. After the pipes were replaced there was 2 sections 3 feet long called cigar rolls filled with heavy roots and waste. I don't even know how the snake even made punched thru at 45' and 75'. If I was a jerk I would have cancelled the credit card payment and fought it out later lesson learned. read more

Service technicians are excellent and knowledgeable, courteous and accessible... but the office gouges on prices and I do not trust them. In February, we paid over $1000 to the company to diagnose an intermittent heating problem. They replaced a zone valve and other part, but the problem was never resolved. Final diagnosis was to replace a circuit board on the air handler, for which they asked $900 for parts and labor. I deferred on that last step, and the problem went unresolved. If found the replacement circuit board online at Amazon for $153. When the tech came again this summer to check the air conditioning, i asked to replace the board. This took 20 minutes, but the office charged $155 diagnostic fee. OUTRAGEOUS since the tech was here anyway, and the work took 20 minutes and I supplied the part. This works out to a $450 hourly rate for straight labor!!!! Really! I complained the head office, and they said this was their pricing policy. I pointed out I had already spent $1000 on diagnosis and that I wanted an hourly rate. The would not adjust the fee. I think the bottom line is that I feel their pricing strategy is predatory, figuring the unsuspecting homeowner will just bend over and pay whatever they ask. My elder parents have used this company for central air conditioning services and oil burner services. The act very professional and courteous, however it always seems to be very expensive and they have twice now come up with additional work that needs to be done. They charged my parents $1500 for work they supposedly needed on the oil burner. They were called in for a $185 oil burner tune-up. Two days later, they had no heat at all and it lead to the process of removing the oil tank from the ground and installing a new tank in the basement. That cost another $5000. It seems to me they have taken advantage of the fact that at their age, they could not go down to the basement or up in the attic (a/c) to see for themselves. I hired Go Green Express to clean out the ducts in my house. The charge was supposed to be $1500 for 4 hours' work. I gave them $500 to begin. Two men were there for a total of 1 1/2 hours. Not all of the ducts were cleaned. I am now being charged $22 a month for air conditioning service that I have never had. I have written 2 letters so far to cancel the service, but I keep getting charged and the amount is deducted from my checking account. Where to begin? It all started in May 2011 when my central air stopped working 2 days before my sons wedding. My reguler service guy couldn't get to my house so I had to call someone else. These guys came in and charged me $6300 for a new AC unit. I had no choice so I paid it only to find out later that I over paid by $1000-1500 A month later it wasn't working right so I called them back only to find out the guy who did the install forgot to install a valve and now air was in the system. They sent the install guy back to repair it. One month after that my AC stops working again! I call them back they inform me that I need a new thermostat which I change myself. I was charged $160 for visit. A few weeks after that, again my AC isn't working, now they tell me that it's the motherboard on my furnace which controls everything, cost $870 to replace. A few weeks later, (now heating season) I turn my furnace on only to find out it's not working. I pay $60 for service call to find out I need a part called a rollout switch. They want $478 to replace the part. I find the part for $36 and replace it myself! They must be on a commisioned based salary because evrytime they came to my house they tried selling me something else including a new furnace! I will never use this company again and will let my friends know it! read more
