After my gas hearing system intermittently worked and would not work, I had another heating expert analyze the problem Fox Air did not fix. It turned out the real issue was a clogged line that kept the gas furnace from firing all the time. It may never have been the $191,gas valve Fix Air replaced which probably got thrown away and could not be analyzed for my $900 bill. They wanted to charge extra for a different problem they probably missed to begin with. read more

Late January Sunday morning, I noticed that my downstairs was noticably cooler than upstairs. Sure enough, a thermometer check said it was 5 degrees cooler than where the thermostat was set. I checked, but didn't see anything obviously wrong, so called Fox Air. A technician called me back within 15 minutes, and we eventually determined that it was not something that could be fixed over the phone, a visit was required. Took him about an hour to get to my house, but when he got here he fairly quickly figured out that something electrical had failed, and replaced it. Heat works again! Saved my Sunday! read more

They immediately came up with all kinds of options for my wife and I on how we could proceed. The very next day they had my new unit on order and then two days later the unit arrived (to my house) along with a technician to do the install. Just had Fox Airs first annual AC tuneup since they revamped my central air system that was barely functioning all these many yrs since purchasing my home in 2009. They spent 12 hours in my attic last summer constructing ducts that should have been in place but weren't, reconfiguring the location of my air filter which was 15 feet away from any duct and was therefore not filtering my air. So once installing the ducts and the air handler and the evaporative system in addition to my new outside condenser, my summer was terrific. Quiet cool efficient low cost air conditioning thanks to Fox Airs excellent technicians one of whom, Carmine , returned at my request to do my AC tune up two days ago. I have never seen such meticulous attention to detail in cleaning off the outside condenser as well as cleaning off the coil in the attic and taking readings from the newly installed filter and air flow ithrough the vents , which registered even flow at the temperature that he chose. I now can compete with 90 degree days that are coming as I did last summer after the install. Fox Air sent reminders of the upcoming tuneup as well as telling me on Tues last that Carmine was enrte to meet his 8 am appointment time, which he did. Can't say enough about his work ethic and knowledge. As an aside Fox Air installed a brand new oil furnace last fall as well after diagnosing a dangerous condition in my burners firebox that they discovered during that tune up. So now summer and winter I hve excellent cooling and heating and relax and enjoy my home in my retirement. They took care of all the town permits needed to install the oil furnace as well which allowed that emergency burner replacement to go seamlessly. The cleanup was meticulous as well. Let's be for real. Most people don't take the time to write reviews unless they are completely dissatisfied with the service they receive. I mention this because the service I received from this company was OUTSTANDING!!! I lost my heat on the coldest day of the year. Bob came out a few hours after I spoke to the receptionist. Arrived when scheduled, accessed the situation (I knew I was looking at a complete replacement) heard my concerns and said he would prepare an estimate ASAP. In less then an hour after he left he called to let me know I should have received an email and if there were any questions to give him a call, understanding I was speaking with competitors. At no time was there the "Hard Sell" that leaves one feeling overwhelmed, questions overlooked and/or unanswered. Having decided to go with FOX, Bob was able to move some things around and scheduled the install for the next morning. Sure, mother nature decides a Blizzard was in order. Having to reschedule (out of his control) Bob took the time and effort to bring additional space heaters to my home "just in case" amidst the storm. Today the install team (Bret and Frankie) arrived early, politely introduced themselves and began the the job, working efficiently and effectively through completion. In the final stage Pat (Technician) called and said he would be there in 20minutes to finalize the set up and test run the system. Shortly thereafter Bob arrived to ensure satisfaction and answer any additional questions. As homeowners we understand the costs associated. What FOX offers is a service that is "FAIR" in price, "High" in professionalism while working "TIRELESSLY" to ensure customer satisfaction. Fox Air installed new HVAC wall units for me 2 years ago. The units are great! But my rascally dogs keep chewing on the pipes and hoses. I have called Fox Air multiple times to come help and their response is always prompt, even on weekends. Great customer service. Bill suggested raising my outside condenser 6 feet off the ground so that my dogs couldn't reach it anymore. Bob and Chris completed the execution of this plan. And they went the extra mile to explain things to me, and to make friends with my dogs, so my dogs weren't trapped inside all day while they worked. Very happy with the customer service. read more

We bought a boiler from Fox Air, they also installed it. The boiler had to be removed and stored while the house underwent construction. Fox Air removed it, stored it, and happily charged us for this removal and storage. Then the company was sold and the new owners are not honoring the commitment to reinstall and warrantee the work and boiler. They want "nothing to do with this thing." Meanwhile the storage was not done correctly and many of the pats have seized or rusted. Again, this is all while happily taking storage fees. The costs to undo Fox Airs duplicity and fraud are now exceeding 2500$. We used to be incredibly impressed with the honor, integrity, and quality of Fox AIr's work. No longer. read more

The tech guy told us $367.18 was the part cost and he won't charge for the installation. We spoke to Jason, the owner said it doesn't matter the tech guy said. UPDATE to Fox Air Corp RIPOFF report: We hired a new technician to inspect our boiler after our disastrous experience with Fox Air Corp. He spent 1.5 hours here, and charged us less than $100 for his time. And he replaced the nozzle for $15 with a more efficient one, at our request. Total was $113.53 - compared with nearly $600 for Fox Air for equivalent time and parts. And despite being charged by Fox Air Corp for "brush and vacuum", THE BOILER WAS NEVER VACUUMED OR BRUSHED. (See pics.) Nor was the chimney. This guy cleaned and vacuumed the boiler and chimney pipe. So Fox Air Corp not only screwed us as described in my review, they charged us for WORK THEY NEVER EVEN PERFORMED. This technician also confirmed that it takes only ten minutes to replace a pressure relief valve, especially since our unit has shutoffs on either side. He said he would have charged about $40 to replace it - the very same part that Fox Air charged us $335 for (in addition to the $250 for cleaning/maintenance). STAY AWAY FROM FOX AIR CORP IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SCREWED LIKE WE WERE. read more

This place is a scam. $183 for a service call to look at the problem. And that isn't applied to the cost of the repair, which is overblown, even with the 15% "discount" that comes with a service contract. It cost me another $700 to replace an induction motor in the furnace, which I thought was expensive. They won't break their invoice down by parts and labor (although they assure me the part is "very expensive"). But what are you going to do when the heat is not working? I was looking for A/C and heater maintenance and a switch from the oil company who wasn't doing the job. I've had Fox Air service both for two years now and they are terrific. The repairman that first came to do the heating start-up maintenance found problems that the oil company had apparently overlooked for years. And I saw the difference immediately--the furnace has never run so quietly or efficiently since it was new. They have kept my A/C running problem free. I would not ever recommend them to anyone. They came and put a bandaid on a problem and assured us it would last until they could come and actually fix the problem several weeks down the road. It was not working again within 7 days and then they wanted to charge me ANOTHER weekend charge to come and put another band aid on it.. If they would have just honored the first band aid visit and used some basic customer service skills, they would have been able to sell us a new unit. The guy, Nate, that came to my house was so honest and did not overcharge me at all. It turned out to be something very small that needed to be fixed.
