I went back to Gateway to buy another washer and mentioned that I was a repeat customer, and that my previously purchased washer died on me. The manager, Abud (spelling?) insisted on fixing it for me for free. I brought it to him, and his technician not only fixed what was broken, but also replaced missing pieces that I'd lost in my own attempts to fix it. And they cleaned it. When I offered to at least pay for the parts, Abud refused. I am so impressed with the honor and integrity of this business.

They offered free delivery and installation. Less than 2 hours after installation, within 5 minutes of starting washer for first time, I informed/notified store in writing that water leaked out of unit and flooded entire laundry room, soaked both closet floors/carpeting/carpet pads on each side of laundry room wall, and into laundry room floor HVAC register soaking multiple places and things in basement, including insulation, water heater, framing, etc. We turned water source into washer off within 5 minutes. Requested store send someone out to repair and fix the damage and leak they caused. Store sent worker next day to only fix unit. He took apart entire unit before he found drain valve was loose. Spent a few thousand on the appliances. They caused thousands in damage and only offered $250 as a partial refund to try to resolve all the damage they caused. Not acceptable. I attempted to give them multiple chances over multiple days to fix it and make it right. I am reasonable. They wanted to do nothing for me.

I type in app what is wrong / app tells me to "return to counter for exchange" - drive there / wait in line / told no / ask for manager / told they do not work with app / not responsible for app / will not look at what I am being told in app / after over 1.5 hours waiting and driving there tells me to call customer service.... rude, condescending, irrational, stubborn, just plain dumb are the only way I can describe the managers. They then proceeded to get all dramatic and act like I was a threat - I told them they were ridiculous and because I was upset and telling them they were being ridiculous does not even come close to threatening - their behavior caused the issue and I clearly told them they needed to work with the Best Buy app and store manager said "I am not responsible for the app" and handed me post it note (with incorrect customer service number) Here is the good - customer service on the phone could not have been better. Apologized, looked at the app and my account and could see when I was in the store. Took a lot of notes and got a manager on the phone - gave me a case # and said they are telling store to just replace product. Not only did we have the original two year warranty, but I spent an additional $130 for extending the warranty to five years. After he left our house, he reported that the failure was due to "overloading the washer" with no evidence, no indication, and no common sense. We are two grandparents living by ourselves with little laundry that we do quite often, so the loads are small. Whirlpool used to be a quality brand, and with a $600 washer with all of the sensors included to complete a proper wash, you would think the sensors would let you know if it truly was overloaded. Anyway, specifically because of the DMV technician's claim that the damage was our fault, the insurance will not reimburse us. I have filed a claim to the Better Business Bureau and will continue to fight this until it is fixed.
