Before you finish your online transaction, be sure to call the store to make sure the item is online. They will then take your information and tell you they are looking around the store for a replacement and will call you back. After messaging and calling for hours, they will eventually answer the phone and tell you they were busy and they don't have what you're looking for and their website is useless. Ernesto is absolutely amazing. We were in need of a laundry center (combined washer & dryer) for a small space as well as a white fridge to match the rest of our kitchen. We originally went into Discount Appliances to find these things after reading the good reviews but unfortunately they didn't have the right things in stock. Jenny and Ernesto kept us on a call list for when the items did come back in stock & Ernesto would text me pictures every time they got a new shipment. This continued for 2+ weeks until we found the perfect items & we were able to purchase them easily & get them delivered the following business day. I purchased a GE top freezer refrigerator from discount appliances for about 300$. Upon arriving at my house and plugging up the fridge I noticed roaches coming out of it! I peeked behind the fridge and noticed roaches in all of the compartments. The business only offers an exchange of a similar appliance and not a refund. This is after almost causing a roach infestation at my home if this went unnoticed. I do not recommend this business because of its business model and the likelihood of receiving a broken or infested appliance. read more

On Sunday June 12th 2022, I purchased a Samsung Galaxy A53 5G 128GB in order to replace my old phone. The agent initially told me he could transfer my SIM card and data from my old phone to my new phone. He then told me that the phone was too hot and said that he could not transfer my data from my old phone, which was not true. He also said he couldn't power the old phone up, but when I got home late in the day, the phone powered up just fine. Also, the person who sold me the new phone said multiple times that the SIM card from old computer had been transferred from the old phone to the new phone, however when I powered up the new phone to transfer data, I touched the "Phone" ICON and it indicated that there was no SIM card installed. Additionally, before I left the store, I asked the agent if the phone included a charger, however when I go home, I found it did not and had to buy one in order to keep the phone powered up. Because of other obligations, I could not go back to the original Best Buy that day and tried to call their store at about 5pm Monday and I was hung up on every time I tried to get to talk to an agent about my purchase. I live in Gainesville Florida and I was visiting someone over 20 miles from the Fredericksburg Best Buy and it is difficult for me to get back to that store because I am handicapped. If this is the kind of service that Best Buy is going to provide, I can not recommend the Fredericksburg Virginia Best Buy to anyone. read more

Customer service is subpar! Purchased a $1000 refrigerator for it to break 6 months later. The compressor went out and it cost more to fix it then the fridge was worth. The manager and the female receptionist were rude and we should never go back, we were in need of a washer and their location is convenient. Brought home the washer,cleaned it, did a load of laundry and the smell was horrible. Cleaned the washer again; same result. Manager and receptionist haven't changed. Unprofessional and unhelpful. We can exchange it for another one or get store credit. Why would I want to do business with Discount Appliance after this kind of unprofessionalism? Why not give the customer their money back since you sold faulty equipment again? read more

I absolutely recommend a stop here, before you go to another appliance store, Lowes, Home Depot, or Sears. It will not take long to look through the store to see if they have something that fits your needs (10 minutes, tops), and if they do, GUARANTEED, it will fit your budget. I came here, because our dryer just wore out. I did not really want to go out and buy a new dryer to pair with our older washing machine, which hopefully still has a couple years to go. I purchased a used Samsung electric dryer for $225! The same dryer new costs $700! I brought it home and plugged it in. It is quiet, it is clean, and it runs like it is new. The salesman was great too, we laughed about the ridiculous traffic in our area and made friendly, funny small talk, and he made sure I knew the available products for my needs. Check out was quick and easy (I paid cash, but they do have financing available if you are in a pinch). He helped me load the dryer in my truck, and down the road I went. So I'm about to move to another state and before I do, I'm going to buy another washer and dryer from these guys. I bought a washer and dryer set from them almost a year ago. A few months later an issue came up with the washer, it wouldn't stop filling. Kinda scary. I called them and let them know, and at this point my 60 day warranty was up and we both knew it but the issue was detrimental and unfixable. They told me they didn't want me to have wasted my money on a washer that was trying to destroy the house lol so I went in and picked out a replacement washer and they delivered and installed it again. I'm very happy with this company and I will pop by to get another washer/dryer set before I move. (I'm leaving the current set for my mom) New set works perfectly. read more

Very easy to do business with. When our washer went out unexpectedly we were mostly concerned with the hassle of finding a well working washer and getting it back to our house and installed since we had already spent the few weeks prior getting moved out and moved into a new home. We went in, said what we were looking for, and we're shown all of the machines that fit the criteria. There was no sales pitches or pushing us to get a more expensive one over the other. We were able to browse on our own and once we picked the one we wanted the lady helping us rang us up, got our address, and set delivery up for the next day. There was a fee for delivery and installation but it seemed very reasonable to us as we have no truck to transport and live 30 miles away from the store. We did not have to install either which we were happy to pay for. So far the product is as described and there is a 90 day warranty. read more

We needed a "garage fridge", but really didn't want to spend a bunch of money on a brand new one, although I was resigned to the fact that one of the big box stores would probably end up getting our money. Stopped by Discount Appliances on our way to "The Orange Box" on a whim, and found what we needed. Ernesto helped us, he was great. Advised me how to fix another appliance I was having trouble with, too. Super nice guy. Fridge was delivered 2 days later, but wasn't working by the next morning. Called the store, spoke to Ernesto again and said he'd send his repair guy out as soon as he could. No problem waiting a day, since I didn't yet have anything that needed to be in the fridge. Repair guy (Guillermo) came out, fixed it up in about 10 minutes and went on his way. Refrigerator works great now. Bottom line: if you need an appliance and don't mind buying used, go here. They'll help you out (no pressure sales, just good conversation) and get you what you need. Hooray for supporting small business, too! I purchased a refrigerator today from this company. I asked a bunch of questions before I purchased this refrigerator and they assured me that this refrigerator had been serviced and tested. When I got it to the place where it was needed I plugged it in and filled it with stuff to find out 5 hours later that the temperature in the freezer had not changed. So therefore tomorrow I will be calling them in the morning first thing for them to come and pick their junk up. Bought a Maytag Bravo Top Load Washer for $500 plus $75 delivery. Did not work so they sent repair technicians. I knew the machine was not fixed before they left, but with a language barrier, it was hard to communicate. Sure enough, it wasn't fixed. We were told to come to the store and they would do an exchange and have it delivered. They had an identical model in stock so we picked that machine. The exchanged machine was delivered and I asked the drivers to wait so I could make sure it worked. They wouldn't wait. This machine is also broken. The manager just called me and they will send the repair techs out again, next week. I've looked on the BBB website to see this company has an F. Complaints show a pattern: they will string me along, replacing broken machines with broken machines until the 60-day warranty expires and then I'll be stuck with whatever machine I've got. RUN from this business. There is a reason they only offer exchanges and not a refund. read more
