My wife and I absolutely love this store. The customer service is top-notch. My wife has had her eye on the McDaniel dining room table for a little over a year. Sophia did a wonderful job explaining how we could purchase the floor model or have one custom made. She showed us the different color options and offered to send some wood samples with different stains home with us. Sophia also showed us a few chair options we could go with. We ended up getting the floor model and the Estelle chairs which are an amazing combination. We ended up saving so much time and money because everything was in stock. David Fraser is a true craftsman. Tables, Chairs, Benches, Stools, and Mantles, all so beautifully made. We recently had a small custom order of 3 bar stools. It did take slightly longer than projected and was slightly different than what we ordered when completed. David was quick to offer to correct and make as we ordered. We ended up accepting as crafted because David was so very reasonable to work with when the mix-up occured. Shop girl (Cameron) is pleasant and has a nice design sense. We urge you to get complete design order in writing and have David sign off on it. Do not trust order to be verbally communicated by staff. read more

Cameron and David helped us design and then ultimately build/install a walnut bartop with Chicago railing for our basement bar. Despite a slightly longer lead time than expected, it turned out better than we could have imagined and was definitely worth the wait. We met the guys that actually built the bartop during installation...very skilled guys that made sure we were completely satisfied before they left the house. Fraser also built and installed a desktop for an office that equally matched the bartop quality-wise. Overall a great experience and we'd definitely use Fraser again for future projects. read more

Went in over a month ago, and showed the owner an image of a coffee table for which I wanted a new table top. She promised to check her sources and get back to me. I followed up later that day with more images but never heard anything back. I called days after that and this time the husband (he found the email) and promised they would get back to me. Never got a reply to my email or to my call. They obviously don't think it's necessary to give someone the courtesy of their promised response. read more

In addition to the beautiful wood pieces available there - they are carrying American Leather furniture. In case you haven't checked it out lately, American Leather is no longer just about leather. We just purchased a new recliner which is NOT leather, looks great with Midcentury furniture, has wooden arms and a wooden base. We love it. This is our second recent purchase of American Leather furniture - we have had a queen sofa bed for more than a year and we love that too. There is no longer a need to go to Richmond to find a piece of comfortable, contemporary furniture. Thanks Cameron for your help selecting our recliner!
