He remained terse, asking with a chip on his shoulder, "what's in the box?". At which point I then replied, " an electronic". So he then told me to "read the sign", without even looking at me. I said "excuse me?" because he initially mumbled it at first. But the second time, he made sure he was loud enough to understand. The FedEx sign states that this location does not accept electronics, such as phones and batteries. Overall, for FedEx drops, I recommend avoiding this location because it is not worth the hassle. The employee could have been more professional, pleasant, and polite, and the FedEx "rules" for this location, make it an inconvenient, less than ideal drop off location.

After everything was done, the manager walked off to another area. He was standing right next to the rude employee, there were other customers, he didn't check in with him to see if he needed anything. I assume the whole rudeness to customers is going to be ignored. I don't expect him to correct him in front of customers, that would be wrong. But by walking off and not even checking in with him and seeing if he needs help tells me that the manager is not invested in the store and pretty much re-enforced bad behavior is acceptable.
