Notified the motherboard had damage to the CPU pins (which is not a common occurrence at all since the CPU never moves). Notified the HSC employee I would like either the company with the device or themselves to ensure the components were placed back in their appropriate locations. While the employees were polite, I received the computer back with the shell, all boards, 4 extra ram sticks (RAM and SSDs removed prior), cpu and gpu thrown in a box loosely without any ESD bags. I expressed my disontentment at that point to the owner and left.

The laptop was useless without a working display, so that wasn't a problem. A week and a half later it was returned fixed. Later I took my wife's iPad in for a repair. They honestly told me they couldn't fix it because they didn't have the equipment necessary for an iPad but recommended another computer repair shop which could make the repair. That shop did a great job at a very reasonable price. This shop is honest, as fast as they can be, and the prices are very reasonable. I recommend them.

I am SOOO glad my neighbor recommended Pro Tech!! I am a former IT Specialist, and when I say…read moreformer, I mean that with all my heart, because I am old, now and sooo tech-baffled these days. Mo kindly came to my house, looked at my 8 yr old PC (which I still thought of as 'pretty new'), and gave me the bad news that it needed replacing to be able to get Windows 11. I was afraid of that, so I just bit the bullet and bought my new Dell PC from him. He transferred all my stuff from the old PC to the new PC, wiped my old PC clean, and took it away, to be donated at Xmas time to the needy. Mo said there are more needy families in the area than I could imagine. He asked me if I had backed up all my files. Ummm, nope; just the words 'The Cloud' scare me, and, although I was very careful bitd about backing up my work files, MY stuff didn't seem that important, until Mo reminded me that I said I probably had other documents that should be backed up if my PC got hit by a bomb. He went back to his store and backed my old PC files onto a thumb/flash drive, (or whatever it is called these days) and I picked it up from him today. I am struggling a bit trying to learn the new PC with Windows 11, but Mo said I could call him anytime I needed help. He wasn't at all snarky and superior-acting about my lack of knowledge, but was very kind and patient. I am thrilled to have found someone trustworthy to help me. I have friends who have been hacked and lost almost everything, so I am always very nervous about security. Mo's calm confidence and helpful demeanor make me feel much better with this change than I would have been!! Thank you, Mo!!

He also stayed in communication throughout the week updating me on the status of everything. Very much appreciated, hard to find folks that provide such personal quality customer service these days. Been a couple of months now since the repair and have had no issues. Thanks Mo!

I dropped it off and received a phone call within the hour saying they had damaged the screen trying to take it off and it was completely inoperable. When I explained that the phone had not been backed up recently and asked if there was any way to transfer information off it, the employee told me the only way was to pay $100 for a "temporary screen" so that I could back it up before getting a replacement phone. I understand that the phone should've been backed up in the first place, but I wasn't aware of the possibility of the phone being completely inoperable once they started working on it. Unfortunately I lost some pictures of a recent vacation and the employees assured me the only way to retrieve them was to pay the $100. I ended up turning down the option and losing the pictures but the whole process was very frustrating overall.
